Chapter 8- Welcome to Camp!

Tony POV

I stumble back in surprise as the world clears. I heard several groans beside me, and know it's the rest of the crew.  I whip my head around, checking my surroundings.  In front of me there was a sign labeled 'Delphi Strawberry Service'.  I blinked.  Why did we appear here?

"Where are we?" I asked.  The blonde girl turned to face me.

"Camp." She stated simply, walking past me.  I opened my mouth to retort, but it slammed shut when I saw her peck my nephew on the lips.  I had no clue he had a girlfriend.

"You two are like, together?" I inquired, pointing at the two.  Percy glared at me, but the girl sighed.

"Yes, we are 'together'." She turned to her boyfriend.  "And Percy, what in Hades is going on?"

"What do you mean, Wise girl?" he asked innocently.  I clenched my fists.

"Well, what do you have against this guy?"

"He thinks I turned him in." I cut in, glaring at him pointedly.

"And you didn't?" The girl asked with narrowed eyes.

"No!"

"Stark is right, he didn't do it." Natasha said,  coming to my rescue.  "It was the cameras.  Fury was spying on you?" Percy still didn't look completely convinced.

"They why'd he tell me you guys spilled?" He asked, glaring at me.

"He wanted you to turn on me." I explained.

"But-"

"Hey!" The girl exclaimed, slapping Percy upside the head.  He muttered an 'ow', rubbing the back of his head.  Then his face became more serious as he stared at the tall archway.  A flash of sadness passed through his eyes.  I looked at him, a questioning look written on my face.  Percy avoided my gaze.

"Wait." Bruce held up his hands.  "What in the name of god is going on?"

"I think you mean what in the name of gods." Percy corrected, shifting his feet nervously.  "Do I really have to explain this again?"

The blonde sighed.  "Fine.  Let's just start over." She adjusted her posture.  "The name is Annabeth.  Annabeth Chase.  I'm this seaweed brain's girlfriend." She gestured to Percy, who rolled his eyes.

"I am Tyson!" The tall 'Guard' introduced happily.  I squinted my eyes at his face, which was somewhat blurry and unfocused.  "Percy is my brother."

"I don't see the resemblance." I grumbled, which caught the attention of Percy, who gave me a look telling me to shut up.  Annabeth sighed, and snapped her fingers, causing Tyson's face to clear.  I jumped back in surprise, and heard a few gasps sound behind me as well.  "Dude... I think you're missing an eye."

Percy started towards me, but his girlfriend held him back.  "Tyson is the general of the cyclopes in Poseidon's army." Tyson puffed out his chest in pride, and I scoffed quietly.

"Wait... did you say Poseidon's army?" Clint asked, his eyes clouded with confusion.

The trio took turns explaining all about the greek gods and demigods.  Thor interjected occasionally, adding in the norse side of things.

"And... this is camp." Annabeth finished, pointing to the arch.  She snapped again, and the letters morphed.

Camp Half-Blood

"I just let all of you see through the mist." She said.  Percy stayed silent, just staring at the camp entrance.  Annabeth looked at him with sad eyes.  "I think it's better if you guys stay here for a while."

"Why?" Natasha asked.

"Well, the thing is...." her voice trailed off.

"What?"

"We found something out about this Fury guy of yours." She admitted.  Percy's attention snapped to her.  "It's no coincidence he goes by the last name Fury."

"Oh gods," Percy muttered, rubbing his forehead.  "I think I know where this is going."

"We think that he's working with some monsters under another identity." Annabeth said.  "That's one of the reasons the avengers were formed."

"A group of powerful people would be helpful in kicking some demigod butt..." Percy mused.  Annabeth nodded gravely.

"He'll want to get you on his side.  It'll be safer inside camp borders."  She deadpanned.  "Come on, let's go-"

"You know I can't, Annabeth." Percy said softly, his voice void of emotion.

"Percy has to come!" Tyson exclaimed.

"You're right, Tyson." The daughter of Athena agreed.  She turned back to her boyfriend.  "Percy, you're coming with us.  We need your help."

"I really can't." Percy said in a pained voice.

"Wait.  Why can't you go?" I interrupted.   "Are you a wanted criminal or something?" He looked away.

"Wrongfully accused." He said under his breath.  "They found my sword lying in a pool of blood with Annabeth's half-brother's corpse." He turned to meet my eyes.  "Zeus knows what they'll do if they find me within camp boundaries."

"We'll convince them." Annabeth said desperately.  "There has to be a-"

"It's been months, Annie.  They didn't believe me then, they won't now." Percy took a deep breath.  "Besides, what would they do to you if they find out you're 'working with me'?"

"Percy, you can't always do this!  You cannot leave again!" Annabeth screamed. Again? I wondered.  This kid was a wreck.

"They're looking for me." Percy said.  "I-I should probably go.  I'll IM you later." Annabeth yelled in protest, but her message didn't have time to sink in as my nephew disappeared into thin air.  She buried her face into her hands, and Tyson gave her a hug.

"Brother will be ok." He said reassuringly.  "We will make camp like him again." Annabeth nodded into her hands.

I felt a small tinge of worry too.

But I decided not to comment on that.

I have so much hand sanitizer XD

One of my friends gave me like, 7 bottles of it for a holiday present.

One is supposed to smell like warm vanilla sugar.

But how does warm vanilla smell differently than cold vanilla?! (Me and a friend of mine were up at 4 am discussing this XD)

Another is winter candy apple.

WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WINTER CANDY APPLE AND A SUMMER ONE????!!!

I don't understand life anymore.

Stay cool demigods,
