I almost forgot to post this today! I'm so sorry.
Anyway, here is the continuation of the book, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: The World of Darkness that I posted starting one year ago. If you haven't read it, you might want to. Also, I will be talking about the progress of this book from time to time, so I suggest you read these carefully for spoilers or ideas I have. I don't do this very frequently, and this will be updated on the third of every month.

    After a while of thinking, I'm changing Vul the Vulpix's name to Hex. I think that would suit her and her Poké-species, as Ninetales and Vulpix are known for their ghostly/mystic ways. I think I like the idea. So her name is Hex, now... Maybe I'll change it back if I don't like it, or if enough of you readers son't like it.

Hey, I have the next chapter, Chapter Nine -- Old Questions, ready, but I can't access Wattpad on my computer. I'm wondering if it's due to Net Neutrality being taken down by the FCC (I'm in America) but can use this app. Can anyone else confirm or deny this?

Edit: Of course when I try again after I posted this, I worked... Should have the chapter up in a couple of minutes.

Wow... It's been something like half a year since I posted a new chapter for this. I am so sorry for dropping the ball for so long without explanation. You guys deserve better than that.
I have the next chapter, chapter ten at this point, started. I worked on it last week slightly but not in a good, sizable chapter to give to you guys. I can't even say I've been busy with my college classes or anything, or that I was super busy in the summer.
Things like this, that are somewhat scripted before hand, aren't as easy or enjoyable to write (don't get me wrong, I love writing this story, but when I have to check the game for events and make an actual outline for each chapter I want to do, it takes away my focus on just writing. And this is a long game to follow).
I appreciate all of you giving your feedback, catching grammar mistakes, and asking questions about the storyline. I really do. It makes me smile when I see those comments, and sometimes I'll go back to look at them. I hope before the end of the year I can get at least two, if not three, more chapters out, and get back to posting a chapter every third day of each month until this is complete. If you guys want to spam my message board or something and annoy me to get your chapters, please do, I probably need to have som accountability and it is too easy to say, "I'll hopefully get something to you guys soon," and have that be so vague. I am still online, but writing much less of this story. I accidentally came up with three books, two of which will be following this one, different issues in each, and one going into Crystal's history as a normal Pokémon trainer. I need to remember that, in order to get to those other two stories to get them to you guys, I have to finish this one.
Thank you all so very much for your patience. I will not drop this book and call it discontinued. I have a lot of plans for this, especially when our friends from the Future come and start meddling. When the Team is in the Hidden Land. I have ideas floating around, I have a notepad with scene prompts and ideas for this. I just need to get myself to write it out. Again, I am sorry. I will do better because you, as my readers and commenters, deserve more from such a long and unannounced hiatus from February 13, 2018.
I'm not saying this will come out next week. I hope to have the chapter I have started complete by maybe mid/late November at the latest. If I don't do it, call me out if you want to.

I'm actually working on a chapter for you guys! So far it is 2100 words, and I should have the full chapter out (at the latest, if I can't keep myself from posting it) by or before October third! Thank you guys for sticking with me even though I'll go months without even touching this story, much less writing for it. Every step gets me closer to the plot points I can't wait to change for my own story. This book is far from dead. Just know that.

Hey guys, I have been busy this week and haven't been able to work on the story. I hope to have it up this weekend or next week. I had two papers due (procrastination is so fun) this week, so I chose to think about those instead. I have a majority of the chapter done (I did work on it since I updated two weeks ago), so do look forward to a new chapter in the coming days! I'm sorry for the delay.

A new year and a whole lot that needs to be updated. I promised you guys a chapter back in October, something I truly thought I could get a second half of out, but here we are, four months later, and it's not there. I have some of it written in a notebook, but not the full chapter. I will finish this book, as I've said before I am excited for things to get rolling after the whole expedition thing and Dusknoir and Grovyle. But right now that might have to take a back seat (as if it hasn't already).
     I've mentioned before that I'm in college. This is the winter semester of my third year (technically I'm a senior, but I switched majors, so I feel like saying my year is a bit more accurate than class standing). I'm going for an English major in secondary education (i.e. high school English teacher). Right now, among normal English/English Ed classes, I have one that is more hands-on with creating lesson plans and preparing me specifically for teaching this subject in my future. I'm reading more and writing a bit less (no essays and papers....so far). Academically, that is where I stand.
     On the other hand, when I get a bit to write, I have been restarting a Star Wars fic I got an idea for about three years or so ago. The story is much more original and doesn't center on a game like this one, and is easier to write.
     I've said it once and I've said it many other times, but this book will be finished. It's just taking longer than anyone would like (myself included). I have ideas for future events in this book. It will be finished. I promise that. It's just more effort than I realized and life is always speeding up.

It's been over a year and I've made little to no progress on the chapter I promised so long ago. I planned to work on it during quarantine -- I heard so so many long-abandoned fics being updated after years of laying dormant. But so much happened during quarantine that doesn't even touch the pandemic that I didn't have a lot of time, and the time I had, I was tired. I started merging the first and second versions of the next half of Perfect (Apple) Opportunity, but I still have a way to go in order to get it finished. Honestly, the merging part is what makes me procrastinate, but recently I've wanted to finish it.
My family had to move during quarantine, so the first couple months were emptying one house into another. Then I also started my year-long employment at Walmart (emotional exhaustion was very real), and as I mentioned last year, I am in college. I'm in an accelerated summer biology 2 course right now. This coming fall I have a capstone and a fee biology courses so I can have a secondary education minor in it, since I need that to start my studies in the secondary ed program where I can learn to teach the material I've spent the last few years learning, so it will be a bit hectic. I have a different place of employment, so thankfully I have more mental and emotional energy to spare on things like writing (I never stopped, I even started working on the chapter that comes after P(A)O, so hopefully I can actually get things rolling again, just not at the frequency I had back six years ago, maybe a chapter every other month or every three months instead of monthly, or whenever I get the chapter done). I don't think I'll be compromising length, though, and it might even be longer due to the story beats of PMD, but I'll still be looking to hit my 2k words per chapter at the very least (that comes out to about 8 pages, if my memory serves).
I appreciate anyone who still sticks around this story, despite the length of time between the last few chapters. I am writing, I'm always writing. I just write for a few different stories that are bouncing around. I mentioned my Star Wars fic last year, I'm still doing it, though I might not end up putting it on Wattpad (I've been considering AO3 lately, but I'd decide that another time), or I might just share that Google file with friends and call it a day. I also am always working on M(T)PJ, I have mentioned that there are sequel stories that I want to share post-Different Futures, and I have them started. I also have my own fantasy story that I think I can say I found a beginning that feels more natural for my characters. But this is more of a general update, anyway.

TL;DR
I just want to let you guys know I'm still around, and this isn't dead. If I ever drop this, which I think it's safe to say I won't, I will come out and say it, I promise to not just silently abandon this. I still get ideas for scenes concerning Different Futures all these years after I started it, especially those concerning Grovyle and Pearl realizing that they know each other, scenes regarding the Time Gears, and scenes after they return from the Future. The Stockade scene is one of my favorite to imagine, I have a version of it planned out already, and I have for a while. Life just gets busy and time slips away, and it doesn't help that I like physically writing stories before I type up their polished versions much later.

Hey! Actually, I am working on the second part of Perfect (Apple) Opportunity. I have 1,400+ words done on this merge of my first and second versions of this chapter. I'm going to hopefully get this out before August, and continue working on the next chapter after that. Again, I'm not going to hit my prior output of chapters, but with this different job, I won't be emotionally drained and not want to do anything taxing during my off-hours. Thank you guys for sticking with me, and I hope to show you that I'm worthy of it. The good news about the long hiatus is that I hopefully improved a bit of my writing!
I will get good quality chapters out to you all soon!
