Yeol's POV

A MATE.

How is that even possible?

How can the moon goddess give someone like me a mate. Not just any mate but this beautiful creature that has decided to stick to my body like glue.

I inhaled his scent and it smelled like sunshine and rainbows.

Is smell like that even possible?

He was perfect. He had flawless skin and the most beautiful creature I had ever laid my eyes upon.

This had to be a mistake. I don't deserve such a perfect creature as a mate.

Having him so close to me made me feel so much desire for the first time in my life.

I wanted him. I wanted him so badly.

'MATE' the beast within me chanted.

No no no no no.

He can't be this close to the surface. Not again. Never again.

'You can't keep me locked up forever. Especially now that we found our mate' he roared but I pushed him down.

I needed to take my pills and fast.

I stood up as I gently placed my mate on the stool. His eyes shot open revealing the most beautiful ocean blue eyes I have ever seen.

He whimpered at the loss of contact which broke my heart, but I had to do this. I was only going to cause him pain if he sticks with me.

All I have brought to those around me is trouble and this beautiful creature doesn't deserve that.

"Why? Where are you going?" He cried out obviously needing my comfort. He reached out for me but I took a step back which proved to cause me discomfort. I also needed him close to me but I had to be strong. This is not meant to be.

"I'm sorry I can't do this," I said before rushing to my room and locking the door.

It didn't take him 2 seconds and he was already banging on my door.

I couldn't take his desperate cries and screams so I quickly changed my clothes.

I took a double dose of my pills and could feel my inner beast go to sleep. I could finally breath. That was too close.

I jumped out of the window and left before I changed my mind and followed the heartbreaking calls of my mate.

Author's POV

Kyungsoo, Lay, Sehun and Tao had witnessed the whole scene.

They understood that finding out he had a werewolf mate could have been overwhelming but the way Baekhyun looked so broken broke their hearts.

As soon as Yeol rushed to his room Baekhyun went after him. He started by simply knocking on the door.

"Please open. Please...," he begged until he was full on crying while banging on the door.

He couldn't believe his mate had treated him like that.

He couldn't bear the rejection and so his wolf took over and he shifted.

He scratched on the door and howled in pain. Calling to his mate.

Kyungsoo couldn't take it anymore and held the little wolf to comfort him.

"Don't worry Baek. He is just a bit shocked. He will come around," he said as he held the crying wolf close before he shifted back to human.

Kyungsoo knew Yeol had already left and that Baekhyun was calling out to an empty room.

"Mate hates us," he sobbed and Kyungsoo realized it was Baekhyun's wolf speaking.

"Don't worry he will be back. I promise. Even if I have to force him he will be back," Kyungsoo said before Baekhyun cried himself to sleep.

After putting Baekhyun in bed he went back into the kitchen.

"How is he?" Tao asked.

"Broken, but at least now he is asleep," Kyungsoo responded with a frown.

"I could turn back time and try to fix it," Tao suggested.

"We all know how stubborn Yeol is and how he feels about wolves. How he feels about himself and his inner turmoil. The result would still be the same," Lay said also feeling bad for the little omega.

Kyungsoo grabbed a jacket as he headed for the door, his motherly instincts kicking in.

"Where are you going?" Tao asked.

"To drag that idiot back here."
