Author's POV

Yeol snuck into the penthouse apartment building as quietly as possible.

His senses were fully alert so instead of going to his room he followed Baekhyun's scent to the extra spare room.

He quietly opened the door. The light was on so he figured his mate must be afraid of the dark.

He wanted to just check on his mate but his scent was too alluring and before he could realize what he was doing he was standing by the side of his bed closer to his mate.

His scent just kept pulling him in.

It wasn't as cold as the night before and his face wasn't completely covered with the blanket.

"He is so beautiful," Yeol whispered and couldn't help but admire his perfect mate. It broke his heart seeing the dry tears on his cheeks.

"I can't believe I hurt someone as precious as you my beautiful mate," he said before his cute little puppy shivered as if feeling cold.

Before he could stop himself Yeol took off his jacket and trousers, leaving him in a T-shirt and boxers, and slipped under the covers with his mate to keep him warm.

He wrapped his arm around the beautiful omega and held him closer before burying his nose in his soft hair and breathing in his scent. Lying in bed with his mate made him feel at peace with himself and the world.

Baekhyun's POV

After spending the whole day crying I fell into a deep slumber.

I don't know what I dreamt of, but I was longing for my mate.

After everything I have endured with Cyrus, I was afraid my mate would reject me because I wasn't pure anymore. Because I was used and broken.

In the end he rejected me even without knowing my horrible past. I was undesirable and useless. Not even my own mate wanted me.

I should have just died the day my whole family was killed. If my own mate has rejected me what is my purpose in life.

Why did the Moon Goddess even create me if in the end I was not even good enough for my own mate?

My wolf, Skyler, kept whimpering and howling in pain. I know the feelings were more intense for him and it broke my heart.

Maybe we should just give up and allow the pain of rejection to swallow us into a dark abyss, but before that could happen I felt warm and tingly all over.

What was that?

It felt good and Skyler stopped whimpering but became excited all of a sudden.

'Mate' he called out.

That's when I breathed in my mate scent and forced my eyes open. I was in shock when I looked into the almond shaped eyes of my mate and couldn't help the tears that filled my eyes.

"Y-you came back?" I asked not sure if this was a dream or reality. I even held onto his strong muscular arms just to see if he was really there.

"Yes. I'm sorry I just left you like that in the morning. I just needed time to think," he responded with a smile and oh did my heart do impossible flips.

He was the most handsome man I had ever seen. Even in his tired state he literally took my breath away.

"Please don't ever leave me again. I thought you were never comin...," I was choked by my own tears as I couldn't help but sob on his chest.

"Shhh... I'm so sorry baby boy. Don't cry," he soothed me with his deep velvety voice that made me shiver, along with his arms he wrapped around me and held me tight.

"I'm...I'm just...so...glad...you came...back." He held me tighter and I prayed he would never let me go.

"I will never leave you again," he assured me.

"Pro...promise?" I asked as my sobs turned to sniffles.

"Yes. I promise," he said as I looked up to face him again.

I leaned forward and before I could stop myself I kissed him on the lips.

Before I could move back he gently grabbed the back of my neck and pulled me in for a deeper kiss. I felt fireworks of emotions run through my mind while electricity ran through my body.

He was everything I desired and he was mine. My body responded to his ministration like a patched plant to water. It was devastatingly mind blowing.

Sadly we had to come out for air.

I lay my head on his chest with my hand on his shoulder. I was happy and content. I was finally with my mate and we were going to be together forever.

When I woke up in the morning I was in a good mood, but when I realized my head was on a pillow and not a warm hard chest I panicked.

Was it all I dream?

I asked myself as I jumped out of bed to find that I wasn't in my room. It couldn't have been a dream considering that I was in my mate room, wearing an oversized T-shirt that smelled just like him.

I decided to leave the room and follow his scent which led me to the kitchen.

He was cooking something on the stove and I ran to him before wrapping my arms around his waist from the back.

"When I woke up alone. I thought you left me," I buried my face on his back taking in his scent which immediately made me relax.

He unwrapped my arms and turned around to face me before he wrapped an arm around my waist and carried me as if I was light as a feather, before placing me on the counter.

"I'm sorry baby boy. I promised I would never leave you and I meant it. I just wanted to make you breakfast. You looked so peaceful and that's why I couldn't wake you up," he said and I couldn't help but smile.

"That's okay..." And that's when I realized I didn't know his name.

"Yeol. My name is Yeol" he responded as if he read my mind, "What's your name baby boy?"

"Baekhyun," I whispered a bit shy. The way he smiled at he made my tummy do somersaults. The way he touched me sent tingles down my spine.

"That's a beautiful name. It suits a beauty like you," Yeol said before biting his bottom lip as if holding himself back.

I blushed at his complement. I had been told many times that I was beautiful but only when he said it did it fully mean something to me.

I didn't miss how his blood red eyes flashed a shade darker with lust as he looked at me. Before I could respond he dominated me with his lips and I couldn't help but moan as he dipped his tongue into my mouth.

Caressing my tongue with his. It was such a turn on. I was burning all over my body and it's as if I could smell smoke from our heated make out session.

Wait smoke.

I whimpered when he let go of me but soon realized he had rushed to remove the burning eggs from the stove.

Oh, so that's where the smoke was coming from.

Author's POV

"Shit!" Yeol said as soon he threw the pot in the sink under a running tap.

"This is why you should leave the cooking to me," Kyungsoo said as he, Lay, Sehun and Tao entered the kitchen.

"You're all up." Yeol was a bit surprised and embarrassed to have been caught.

"Well after smelling smoke we were afraid the house was going to burn down," Tao said with a smile.

"Yeah. We knew you were up to no good," Sehun added and they all laughed including Baekhyun. He had the cutest giggle and they all couldn't help but awwwwed at him.

"Aren't you precious," Kyungsoo cooed at him and Baekhyun couldn't help but blush even more.

"He is so adorable. Can I keep him?" Tao said and everyone were shocked at the menacing growl that Yeol released.

He didn't like anyone making a claim on his mate.
Baekhyun quickly jumped off the counter before wrapping his arms around Yeol's waist.

"Sorry Tao but I belong to Yeollie. You can't keep me," Baekhyun said calming Yeol and Zander, who was now coming to the surface.

Yeol relaxed and smiled before kissing Baek on the head and hugging his little omega shocking everyone in the room.

Yeol has never been the affectionate type. So, this behavior changes was all new to them.

"Yeollie I want to take a bath and I need new clothes because yours are big on me," Baekhyun said being his adorable little self. He could feel his former sassy-self coming back and he was very comfortable around his mate.

"Sure, baby boy. Anything for you. We can go shopping after breakfast and get you everything you need," Yeol responded with a grin and Baekhyun screamed with excitement at the thought of shopping with his mate.

He grabbed Yeol's hand with his small slender hand and dragged him to his bedroom. Yeol was more than happy to please his mate.

"What the hell just happened to Yeol? That was him right?" Tao asked in shock.

"I have no idea but I think I like this change," Lay responded with a smile.

"That was more of a 360 turn," Tao was still shocked and Sehun silently agreed with him.

"A mate can bring out the best in you," Kyungsoo said before getting started on breakfast.

Anonymous POV

I stepped out of the car before I took off my shades and took in my surroundings. It wasn't my first time in the city but I was so used to living on pack lands I couldn't help but feel a little out of place.

"I can't believe I went along with your stupid plan. This is crazy," I said facing my younger sister and her mate who were more than happy to be out and about.

"It's not crazy. We are just solving the mystery behind your dreams big bro. You should be thanking me for coming up with this brilliant plan instead of complaining," she responded

"Dude, just relax. You know you can never win a fight with her. This is pretty much your first vacation since taking over the pack as Alpha. You deserve a break," her mate added.

"Let's just get overand done with it. So that I can get over all this drama."
