Yeol's POV

I need to think. I need to clear my head.

How is it possible that a monster like me can have a mate?

All I have ever caused is destruction. The only reason I haven't screwed up is because Kyungsoo gave me those pills to keep him trapped in the depths of my mind.

The only time he was out he wiped out a while town.

'If I didn't do that we would both be dead' he growled.

'If you didn't do that so many innocent people would still be alive you monster' I responded with just as much rage.

'I'm a part of you' he said

'That's the fxxken problem. That's why I'm never ever giving you control again' I said frustrated that after keeping him in control for all these years our mate appears and all of a sudden he is at the surface again.

It had been hours since I left the house. I know you are wondering what I am and the answer is yes, I am a werewolf.

I'm different because I have vampire blood in my system which makes me stronger and unstoppable if I let my wolf out, but I'm never going to make that mistake again.

Flashback

I was only 13 and I had spent most of my life with my guardian Maya who was a powerful hunter.

She was a witch, a very powerful one and I considered her as my mother.

She taught me everything I knew and even taught me how to control the abilities I was born with.

I was a fire wolf which was rare and many people were interested in having control over me.

Not all wolves had extra abilities so many people wanted to have control over the few of us who did.

We had been attacked a number of times and hunted down but Maya always protected me.

That was the problem. She protected me and I never protected her. This is why I lost her that night.

She had gone out to collect some supplies when a wolf named Cyrus captured me.

Apparently he was also a fire wolf and tried to convince me to join his pack. He was very powerful and promised to teach me how to become stronger and control my abilities, but then I refused.

He captured Maya and killed her right before my eyes. She had come to save me but all I did was cause her death. It was my fault.

We were in a small town at the time when Cyrus captured me and if I had known my stubbornness would have caused so many deaths I would have given in the first time he tried.

Grieved by the death of my guardian, my wolf forcefully took control and burnt down a whole town in a fit of rage.

Nothing and no one survived. And it was all my fault.

I could have also died but Kyungsoo gave me some of his blood and saved me. It did more than just save me, it turned me into something else. Most people would call me a hybrid.

Ever since that day I swore never to let my wolf loose into the world.

Flashback end

It was now evening and I decided to go to a bar. After an hour of drinking I cursed my supernatural body because I couldn't get drunk.

Humans had it easy. Maybe I should try bungee jumping without the rope. Kyungsoo would go all mama bear on me if he knew what I was thinking.

I smiled at the thought. For a thousand years old vampire prince he sure acted like a squishy teddy bear.

If only all vampires were like him. Most vampires looked down upon other species and believed they deserved to rule over all supernatural creatures.

"Well well well. What do we have here? It looks like a lost puppy." As I was just saying. Without even turning I could smell that they were vampires.

Another sign my wolf was close to the surface. I should have carried my damn pills. The pills not only suppressed my wolf but also my scent and senses.

This is why it didn't click that the little omega was my mate because my senses were too weak to catch his scent.
"Cat got you tongue?"

"No, I would just rather stay out of trouble," I said as I turned to face him. No no no no no.

"Good to see you Yeol." Devon smirked at me and I knew I was in deep shit. Trust me to walk right into a club owned by the little brother of the 1000 years old master vampire I killed just a few months ago.

Trouble doesn't need to find me I do a hell of a good job finding trouble myself.

"I can't say the same thing," I responded with a forced smile.

A few minutes later I was in an ally getting beaten to a pulp. I was only able to kill two of his goons before the other 4 overpowered me.

"Do you know how long I have waited to kill you?" Devon grabbed my fiery red hair forcing me to face him.

"Considering that more than 10 minutes have passed and I'm still alive I would say you are not in much of a rush," I said earning a jaw breaking punch to the face. He turned away and since his goons had let go of me I snapped my finger causing a spark as a small flame appeared.

Before they could stop me, I beat down and burned all 4 of his goons. I was now too weak to fight as he kicked me in the ribs knocking the air out of me and I crashed to the ground.

"This ends now," he said pulling out a gun and you didn't need to be a genius to know that he was packing silver bullets dipped in wolfsbane, which was very lethal to werewolves.

Devon knew what I was and wasn't going to waste his time playing around because I had already wiped out a good number of their leaders.

He pulled the trigger and I prepared for impact but it never came. All I felt was an earthquake. I opened my eyes to see that I was shielded by an earth shield. Kyungsoo always seems to appear just at the right time.

"If you really want to die then ask nicely and I will end your pathetic life!" Kyungsoo shouted as soon as he killed Devon.

"Took you long enough," I responded with a smile. My cuts and bruises were beginning to heal.

"You're welcome," he screamed before pulling me to my feet.

"Ouch. That hurt," I cried before pouting.

"It wouldn't hurt if you stayed the hell away from trouble. You haven't even been back for 24 hours and I know the trouble you caused at your trip." He went on like a concerned mother. The lectures never end.

"The trouble I caused. Did you want me to leave the place haunted?" I asked still pouting.

"No but you didn't have to trash 90% of government property in the process." Satansoo mode on.

"I could have died. I almost did." I said.

"If it was going to cause less damage then so be it," he shouted.

"You don't mean that," I said. I know I cause trouble a lot but the after effects of a battle are not entirely my fault. Right.

"I'm so mad at you," he roared but was a bit more calm.

"I'm sorry okay. I will be more careful next time," I responded just wishing we could stop arguing.

"That's not why I'm mad. Well,a I am mad about that but I'm more angry about how you treated Baek," he said.

"Baek?" I asked a bit confused.

"YOUR MATE,YOU IDIOT. You hurt him by rejecting him." He was at boiling point again.

"I'm sorry about that. I was taken by surprise. How can I have a mate? I would only hurt him," I said looking away. I had almost forgotten about my mate.

"Yeol," he called my name in a softer tone after taking a deep breath.

"We were all taken by surprise. I know you have issues with your wolf and I understand that. He made a big mistake and I think you should stop taking those pills and allow him to come out before he forces himself out. But that's your decision. Either way don't ignore your mate. He has been through a lot and the last thing he needs is an asshole of a mate. Now you will go back home with me and make that little omega feel like he means the whole world to you. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"

"But..."

"I SAID, DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?"

"Yes."
