THIRD PERSON POV

"Mommy! I found a daisy! Look!" A seven year old girl ran towards her mother who was currently making a dress for the upcoming Moon Festival in Moon Kingdom. They lived by the South.

"You can just put it on the table, my dear. I'm a little busy right now." Her mother, Cassandra sweetly told her, yet the little girl still urged her mother to look at the tiny flower.

"But mommy, there's something weird with this daisy. It's red!" The young girl squealed. Cassandra froze, her hands paused from doing work.

She made a quick look at the said flower that was resting on her daughter's palm. She then felt nervousness rushing down her spine. In haste, she took the flower and crushed it with her bare hands, her child clueless at what her parent just did.

Cassandra faced her daughter and softly asked, "Where did you get that flower?"

"At Father's garden. It was glowing when I saw it!" Her daughter answered, feeling astonished as she remembered her little self picking it up.

Little did she know, her mother began to worry.

Evening came, the night before the Moon Festival.

Cassandra gazed at her sweet daughter, sleeping in bliss. She tucked her up on her bed and left the house. As she is heading towards her husband's garden, her mind clouded with thoughts.

She remembered something from the long gone past. The past she remembered hindered words.

The wizards back at where she used to live, told her lots of stories of magic, powers, and curses. And what she just saw with her own eyes, was a curse that involves her very own daughter.

A myth from a long time ago, as said by one wise wizard, stated how witches, who were seeking revenge, plant cursed flowers and wait for young children to pick them up. As they do, the curse from these flowers flow slowly towards the children's fate, and that this will forever change their life.

No one believed the myth, but Cassandra does. For this happened to her younger sister, Hildigar.

At the age of 18, Hildigar became a beast, with powers so strong and plenty that no one is brave enough to face her. She could have used her powers for good, but she became helpless and hopeless, because of love.

Cassandra then remembered her husband, who died because of her sister's recklessness. Because of what she did, she was banished from the Mystery Planet, or mostly known as Fushigi Boshi. She was banished from everyone, and banished to the point she died without anyone knowing she past away.

She felt shivers going down on her spine again as she remembered how her daughter glowed with delight while shoving the weird-looking flower in front of her. The same flower her sister picked up at such a young age.

Cassandra doesn't want her daughter to experience the same fate.

She heard suspicious taps on the ground. Her instinct getting the best of her, she turned around and saw a lady grinning at her. The lady wore a dark coat, have hair so long yet so messy, have nails sharp like lion's claws, and was holding a crystal ball.

"How did you get here?!" She asked, her body boiling at the sight of this old lady. The same lady who cursed her beloved sister.

The lady continued to grin as she slowly raised her crystal ball up in the air. The glowing ball started to change color, suddenly revealing Cassandra's daughter, sleeping.

Cassandra watched in shock as her daughter's peaceful face suddenly distorted, screaming out sobs with some unknown pain that's making her feel. Fury was what Cassandra felt as she attacked the lady with her own powers but the old lady countered it with hers and casted

"You really are a part of your cursed family, though it seems like you and your daughter are the last of your kind. It's a pity that you can't carry your husband's name, nor your father's." The lady said in a sing-song tune, gazing at her crystal ball. Obviously, she enjoyed the painful scene of the crying child, and of the hurting mother.

"YOU IMBECILE!" Cassandra screamed in pain. The lady shifted her gaze towards her, then started to walk towards her direction. Cassandra was about to create another attack, when she's stuck, kneeling on the ground. She cursed herself when she realized that the lady casted a spell on her without her noticing.

"You won't be able to live longer, Cassey. The spell I casted on you isn't really a spell but a curse. You will die few years from now, leaving your sweet daughter behind." Cassandra flinched at the old lady's words, and how her nickname went out from her lips so carelessly.

"It hurts right? It hurts to be in pain!" She casted another attack spell, which made Cassandra even helpless. "It hurts to be forgotten from someone like your father! My thirst for revenge towards your family will go on generations, until your entire bloodline runs out. Your sister was just my first experiment. What an idiot-"

"Don't bring up my sister, you witch! She died because of you! You brought hideous curses upon my family!" Cassandra screamed, blaming her for everything her family endured. The lady raised her right eyebrow at her, amused at how she just spoke so bravely.

Moments later, the lady felt a pang of pain inside her brain. Bringing back her gaze towards the child, she grew nervous when the little girl suddenly stopped sobbing, and was back to her peaceful state, a smile curved on her face.

Cassandra got up on her feet. With the lady too immersed in watching her crystal ball, she casted a spell using the greatest amount of light from the moon, and attacked her. The witch flew away, her back hitting a tree. Cassandra limped towards her, her face with determination.

"You're lucky I'm not the one to kill you. Yes, I may die in the next few years but let me just say that you will never succeed with your vicious plans You will never take Carnation Kingdom, nor the entire planet!"

"The prophecy of the late Queen Rein of Sunny Kingdom will come true. For another tragedy that is yet to come, will perish by the hands of the Moon. My daughter will defeat you, Jezzy."

The old lady just smirked at her remark. "That prophecy is indeed true, but I have the power to change that!The tables will turn before you'd realize it. This won't be our last encounter, Princess Cassandra."

And with the blink of an eye, the Witch Jezzy vanished, just like that.

The Moon Festival began, revealing new travelers and happiness in each other's faces.

Cassandra went to town with her daughter who was clueless of the events last night. The duo enjoyed the festival, especially with the delicacies. Queen Milky, Moon Kingdom's ruler, was delighted to know that the festival never failed to amaze the people.

Cassandra took her time in watching over her daughter. The little girl's hyped up, and she feared that her daughter might encounter something dangerous, taking note of what the witch told her.

Little did Cassandra knows, that while she was busy looking at a jewelry booth, her daughter found and ran towards a cute white dog, the fur on it captivated her attention.

The child chased it, not realizing the speed she came up with. The child ran like lightning, leaving a trail of messy booths and dirty objects. Cassandra then noticed this and began to chase her, apologies coming out from her mouth towards the people whose booths are now destroyed. Cassandra then lost sight of her little girl.

The young girl stopped running, when the cute dog was nowhere to be seen. She was about to go back to her mother when something caught her attention. She saw a beautiful gown displayed in front of a booth for everyone to see.

As she continued to stare at it, she heard an unfamiliar voice inside her head. She closed her eyes with the sudden pain she was feeling. She felt dizzy and stumbled on her feet. The unfamiliar voice spoke, which made her lose control of herself and lose consciousness.

But her body still stood, like a puppet being controlled.

"Destroy the gown, little one. Destroy everyone to dust. Destroy your town."

"YOONA!" Was the last thing she heard coming from her mother's lips, shouting her name from afar. Cassandra tried to stop her from burning everything to dust.

But it was too late.

"What is wrong with your daughter Cassandra!?" The Minister of Moon Kingdom questioned her. Cassandra kept her head down, still worrying about her daughter who is now inside a human cage, crying so loud.

"Are you some kind of beast, letting your monstrous daughter, ruin the time of the Full Moon!?"

"Excuse me Minister but my child is not a monster!" Cassandra shouted back, still seated at the center for everyone to see. Her child slowly felt scared, still confused on why she had these kinds of powers.

"Then why did she burn the South Town?! She killed millions of people because of her flame!" The minister shouted back at her, with a big number of people agreeing to what he said.

"She didn't listen to her elders! She's a beast!"

"She killed my wife and kids, it's time to do the same thing to that child!"

"She showed no mercy to my son! She's a monster!

"Why does it have to be her?! Why did you kill my baby?!"

A lot of complaints passed through Cassandra's ears. She began to weep.

Yoona, which is the child's name, also cried because she didn't know why she got her powers and why everyone is angry at her. She's just a seven year old girl, oblivious to the real world, and suddenly she killed a lot of people, without even her witnessing it.

"For what your child has done, the penalty is DEATH." The minister said. Cassandra was shocked at this. She's confused on why everyone wanted her daughter to be killed. She's still so young, so free, to be killed.

"No please! Don't kill Yoona! Please not my baby!" She tried to get out to protect her daughter. She cried endlessly and still spoke words to not let her child get killed.

A soldier was about to get Yoona but Yoona accidentally used telekinesis and threw the soldier away from her. She started to teleport from place to place inside the cage, until she teleported outside of it.

Her fear slowly erupted inside her, making her powers uncontrollable. Fire flashed out from her. Wind, water and ice went out of her too. The people tried to hide themselves under the benches while others ran. Yoona still cried as she did this.

Until everything seemed to halt.

Queen Milky went inside the Minister's court. She noticed Yoona in tears, releasing different kinds of powers inside her. She raised her hand then, time stopped. Only her and the little girl are moving. As Yoona noticed this, she tilted her head to the Queen's direction.

Queen Milky saw the fear in the child's eyes, the same eyes her brother once held when his special someone almost disappeared in mist. She took pity on her and decided to calm her by ice cream, to which she suddenly made it appear right before her. Yoona's eyes sparkle at the sight of it, suddenly forgetting of her dark powers. As soon as the queen saw this, she walked towards the child's side and let time run again.

Everyone became surprise when they saw their queen beside the child, even the minister and Cassandra were surprised at this.

"Q-Queen Milky, you came." The minister said. The queen smiled at him and walked towards her post.

"Why blame this child, whose still new to the world around her? She's like any other girl, minister. Not a monster." The queen said. The court is suddenly filled with silence.

"The punishment for the mother and daughter is not death. But since this incident killed a lot of people, I will banish them from this place and send them to Earth." Everyone is surprised at what the queen proposed.

Cassandra, although knowing she would be banished, cried because of joy and relief.

Preparations were being held. The queen never left the side of the child, teaching Yoona how to control her powers well. Cassandra went to her, curiosity hitting her.

"Why did you declare that, your highness?" Queen Milky shifted her from Yoona towards Cassandra, and let out a small smile.

"I know the prophecy of Queen Rein. She's one of my closest friends and I was the first person to know this. She let me promise something that if this thing happens in my time, I will have to find a way to keep you safe." She answered Cassandra, who was very happy to the queen.

"I also know that it is not you who will guide her, am I right?" Cassandra nodded, a bit sad. Queen Milky soothed her by touching her shoulder. "I will contact my friend on Earth to watch over your daughter. I have kept her future ready. I want that as soon as she grows up, there will be no problems. I promise you that."

And those were the last words she heard from the queen.

5 YEARS LATER

"Mom please, don't die." Yoona cries to her mother, who was now laying on the hospital bed. Cassandra knew that this day would come. But she felt sad for the fact that she could no longer see her daughter grow as a lady.

Yoona's mysterious powers were still uncontrollable. She burned a garden, froze an entire lake, and destroyed the town's electricity.

Yoona's already able to control a bit, but everyone is now scared of her and hate her.

Cassandra tries to form a smile for her daughter. Before she breathed her final breath, she spoke to her daughter.

"Remember to always stay beside Uncle Sam, Yoona. He's the only one you can trust for now. Please take care of yourself."

"I love you." Cassandra closed her eyes, and a long beeping sound was heard. Yoona cried but this time, she controlled herself to prevent anymore damage.

After the burial, Yoona's life changed. No one wants to befriend her, nor to know her. Rumors spread about her abnormal capabilities.

Yoona doesn't go to school and decided to stay with her Uncle, even though they both knew they weren't really blood-related. Nevertheless, he's the only one who accepted her wholeheartedly and was willing to take good care of her.

They moved into a new house, where it is near an academy's garden, namely Royal Wonder Academy. Sam was the appointed gardener in there. Yoona became his assistant.

That was how Yoona realized that everyone in this world is not worth trusting nor depending on. Everyone will judge you whatever, whoever, and wherever you are.

That was the time she decided to close her heart and herself from anyone else.
