Chapter 11: More Flashbacks/dreams

Cliff activates his holoform and catches Sabrina in his arms. She slowly opens her eyes to see everyone around her with concerned looks.

"Dang, everyone, please turn down your worry dials. I just fainted 'cause I'm tired, that's all," Sabrina says.

"If you are too tired to walk, I could carry you," Graham offers.

"No thanks, Graham, besides I already feel bad for getting you involved in all this," Sabrina says.

"Sabrina, you don't have to apologize. I know you'd never do something like this on purpose," Graham says.

Cliff helps Sabrina back to her feet, but Wheeljack has something else on his mind. Could dark energon exist, and could that be causing Sabrina's outburst? A few seconds later, the color drains from Graham's face, then Wheeljack reaches out his right hand and catches the boy in his palm.

"Thanks," Graham says.

"No problem kid," Wheeljack says.

"Graham, are you okay," Cliff asks.

"Yeah, I guess I'm a little tired from everything that happened today," Graham replies.

"Cliff, maybe you should take her home so that the kid can power down for a while," Wheeljack says.

"That might be a good idea, Wheeljack," Cliff says.

"Wheeljack, are you coming back to the base or heading out?" Cliff asks.

"I'll fly the Jackhammer to a safe place to hide it for the night, then Bulk and I will drive back to base. That way, we can catch up," Wheeljack replies.

"Sure, Jackie, that sounds good to me," Bulk says.

Meanwhile, at Natasha's house, her parents just called a family meeting. Her older brother, Christian, is back from Military school. He got kicked out yesterday. Natasha sits next to him on the couch while their parents are standing behind the coffee table.

"Why am I here?" Christian asks. "I already know what you and dad will tell the Lame-o sitting next to me," Christian adds.

"I'm the Lame-o." Natasha snaps. "You have done something bad if you got kicked out of another Military school," Natasha adds.

"At least I can answer someone when they ask me, 'Who do you look like more, your mom or your dad?' unlike you," Christian says.

"So what if I don't look like them? They love me regardless." Natasha says.

"Natasha, Honey, your father and I have to tell you something we should have brought up long ago." Natasha's mother says.

"We're moving away and leaving you here," Christian says.

"Christian." Natasha's father scolds.

"What is it?" Natasha asks as she folds her hands together and taps her fingertips on her knuckles.

"Your mother and I had a strange dream, and a robot told us we needed to go to an orphanage in Jasper to adopt a baby girl and her sister." Natasha's mother says.

"I have a sister! Why didn't you adopt her too?" Natasha asks. "Did you think we'd be too much for you to handle, so you split us up?" Natasha shouts.

"Natasha, Honey, I know you're upset, and your father and I don't blame you." Natasha's mother starts. "You need to understand we didn't want to separate you from your sister, but financially, we couldn't afford to raise the two of you." Natasha's mother continues.

"How did my sister and I end up at the orphanage?" Natasha asks.

"I'm afraid we don't know. The orphanage didn't have any information about your birth parents." Natasha's mother says.

"The only other information we know is there were two other babies beside your sister that just appeared one night in the backyard inside a strange metal box." Natasha's father adds.

"If the orphanage doesn't have any answers." Natasha starts. "I'm going to Jasper and find my sister." Natasha continues.

"No, you're not, young lady. You are staying right here." Natasha's father snaps.

Bak with the Autobots, Ratchet reopens the ground bridge, and the group heads back to the base. When everyone exits the portal, they are greeted by Sabrina's parents.

"Hi, sweetie. We are glad you're okay. The Decepticons didn't hurt you, did they?" Mrs. Tucker says as she hugs her daughter.

"I'm fine, Mrs. Tucker. They didn't hurt me. I'm just tired. It's been a long day," Sabrina says through a big yawn, "Is it okay if I just spend the night here?"

"Of course, sweetie," Mrs. Tucker says, "Cliffjumer, I expect you to make sure she is late for school tomorrow,"

"Don't worry; she will be on time," Cliff says.

"Can I stay too? I get to go to school with Sabrina, don't I?" Brandon asks.

"Sorry, bud, we still have to drop you off at Preschool. After your teacher takes attendance, your class will take the bus to the high school," Mr. Tucker explains.

"Okay," Brandon sighs.

"I'm going to stay here. I doubt I'll make it upstairs to my room anyway," Graham adds.

After Bandon, Mr., and Mrs. Tucker leave, Sabrina says goodbye to her friends before walking up the stairs to the lounge area. Graham follows behind her. He sits down on the couch. Sabrina tries to go over to the chair, but Graham gently takes hold of her wrist.

"Trust me, my chest will make a much better pillow than the arm of the chair," Graham says.

Sabrina is too tired to argue, plus her brain shut down again. So, she nods and sits down next to Graham. He places his hands around her waist. Sabrina's brain had restarted, but her heart was racing inside her chest. She takes a few deep breaths to calm herself down at lets Graham pull her towards him. A few seconds later, the duo drifts off to sleep.

~Dream starts~

A young femee and her sister get dropped off at Daycare.
"Swiftglide, Seaglide," a young mech shouts as he runs up to the girls.
He hugs his best friends, and they wait for his parents to join them. A pink and white femee and a red and blue mech walk up to them.
"Strikezone, your carrier, and I asked you to wait," the mech says.
"Sorry, daddy," the young mech says.
"Ironhide, are the girls okay they are usually happy the girls seem a little out of it," the femee says.
"the twins just had a rough night. They had several nightmares," Ironhide says
Later, the girls' teacher led the class back into the building after outdoor playtime. Swiftglide's optics being to play tricks on her, she walks away from the group. She makes it to the nursery and goes into the room. The young femee catches herself on a rocking chair as her fever spikes. She finds enough strength to pull herself on it and collapses on the seat a few moments later. Swiftglide optics slowly open after she feels someone place a hand on her forehead.
"Are you mad at me for waking up the babies?" Swiftglide asks.
"No, Sweetspark," a blue femee with blue and white details on the back of her hands, says, "you do feel warm, try power down for a bit. I'm going to call your sire. Your teacher has mentioned your sister is feeling well too," the femee continues as she takes her hand away.
The young femme powers down to try to rest.

~Dream ends~

Sabrina gasps as she springs up, but she feels someone place a hand on her shoulder and lay her back down a few seconds later. Her vision is a little blurry, but she can make out Ratchet's holoform looking down at her with a thermometer in his hand.

"You have a low fever, but it's still a fever, "Ratchet says, handing her some medicine to help bring her fever down, "here, take this. It will help keep your fever down since I know you will still want to go to school," Ratchet continues handing her a glass of water and some aspirin.

"I'll be fine by tomorrow. Brandon is excited about getting a chance to go to high school," Sabrina says as she takes the medicine, Ratchet gave her.

Then she goes back to sleep. An hour later, Sabrina's mom returned. Mrs. Tucker sets a change of clothes on the table. She checks on her daughter and notices her daughter and Graham's feverish appearance. She heads to the medical bay to talk to Ratchet.

"Ratchet, Why does my daughter and Graham, for that matter, have a fever," Mrs. Tucker asks.

"it could be from exhaustion or stress introduced from their warship experience," Ratchet says.

"Okay, if she still has a fever in the morning, try to convince her not to push herself to go to school if she isn't feeling well," Mrs. Tucker says as she leaves to go to her car.

Sabrina groans, hearing her phone alarm go off. She sits up and takes it out of her pocket to turn it off. Then looks over at the table to see a change of clothes. Even though she is still upset about Mrs. and Mr. Tucker waiting so long to tell her that she is adopted, the teen is happy to know that she has a family that loves her. She gets up and heads to a spare room to change when she returns to the main room, Optimus, Ratchet, and Cliff are standing next to the computer. Along with Wheeljack, Graham is sitting on his shoulder.

"Morning Princess," Graham says.

"Morning, so how do you like riding on the shoulder of a two-story tall robot," Sabrina asks.

"It's okay, so I take it Ratchet, and the others were the friends you mentioned who could help you translate the letter my adoptive parents gave me," Graham asks.

"What letter," Ratchet asks.

"Before we got captured by the cons yesterday, Graham gave me this letter his parents gave him," Sabrina says, "it is in Cybertronian. I thought you could translate it," Sabrina continues as she takes it out of her purse and hands it to Ratchet.

"This is written in ancient cybertronian, so it may take me some time to translate to the script we use now. I'll have it done by the time you get back from school," Ratchet says.

"Speaking of school. How are you feeling this morning," Cliff asks.

"Much Better. I did have a dream about Cybertron. I don't know why "Seaglide, Swftglide, and Strikezone were mentioned a couple of times," Sabrina says.

"I had a dream while we were in the medical bay. Those names were mentioned, and I saw a pink and white robot and a red and blue one that looked a lot like Optimus," Graham says.

"Graham, i did test your DNA with Optimus' CNA," Ratchet says,

"Is CNA like human DNA," Graham asks.

"Yes, and the test results said that Optimus is your Cybertroinan father or sire on Cybertron," Ratchet says.

Wheeljack and Cliff looked over at Sabrina. She has a mixed look of shock and anger on her face after realizing that Graham didn't have to do anything to find his real father/ sire. She quickly turns around and runs out of the room.

"Thanks a lot, Ratchet. You should have told me this privately, not in front of Sabrina. Now I'm positive that my best friend hates me because of you," Graham snaps as he stands up and jumps off Wheeljack's shoulder.

Optimus catches Graham in mid-air, then sets him down on the couch and says, "Graham, I can assure you that Sabrina doesn't hate you. She is just in shock by the information,"

"Come on. I just found out yesterday that I'm adopted, and less than 12 hours later, I happened to find one of my birth parents. I don't blame her for how she feels. I would hate me too," Graham says as he runs down the stairs and tries to find Sabrina.
