Amnesia AU

A pink troll slowly wakes up in a hospital bed. Poppy sits up feeling sleepy and confused. She can't remember anything at all! The Queen looks around the room and notices that it looks like she is in a hospital. A nurse comes into the room and gasps in surprise as she realizes her patient is awake! Poppy looks at the nurse confused.

"Get the doctor! She's awake!", the nurse tells another nurse serious.

A few hours later,Dr Moonbloom is busy looking at the results on the paper of her clipboard. Poppy sits in her bed quietly just waiting to hear the results. Branch runs to Poppy's room. He immediately stops at door and stares at Poppy happy and shocked for a minute. He has happy tears in his eyes. Branch has been worried and missed her!

Without a second to waste,he runs over to Poppy and hugs immediately as he cries. Poppy's eyes widen with shock then are replaced with confusion.

" I Missed You!...",Branch says softly.

Poppy is more confused. Who is this guy? Why did he miss her? Why is crying and hugging her? Branch pulls away from the hug with tears still coming out from his eyes.

" Poppy, I'm so happy that Your alright! I was so worried after you fell off your flyerbug! You have been in coma for a month and I was afraid you would never wake up!..",Branch says as he sits on Poppy's bed.

Poppy is more even more confused!

"I'm sorry. Who are you?", Poppy asks confused.

Branch's smile fades away as his tears slow down.

" What do you mean? It's Me!...Branch... Don't you remember me?...",Branch says emotional softly.

Poppy shakes her head. Branch feels his heart break in seconds! She didn't remember him... He couldn't believe it! His girlfriend could not remember him at all!

"She sadly has Amnesia. Is everything else is fine but, I'm Afraid She'll Never Get Her Memories Back!", Dr Moonbloom says.

" WHAT?! ",Branch yells scared and shocked.

He has his hand on his chest. Branch could feel his heart beat very fast! He feels like he is going to have a panicked attack!

" Unless you find they come back slowly on their own or you find a way to bring them back...",Dr Moonbloom says calmly.

Branch calms down as he releases a heavy breath. Dr Moonbloom could scare anyone with her the dramatic things she says. The Doctor leaves the hospital room to give Branch and Poppy some privacy. Branch looks at Poppy with sadness in his eyes.

"Do we really know each other before?", Poppy asks confused.

Branch nods his head to her.

" Yeah for many years in fact. I'm actually am your boyfriend...",Branch says softly.

The next day, Poppy has been discharged and Branch is trying get her memories back. They walking through Trollstopia. Branch gently pulls her to a random place.

"This where me and you went on our last date. Does that ring a bell?", Branch says softly and hopeful.

Poppy looks at the restaurant then back at Branch. None of this sounded familiar. She frowns and shakes her head. Then suddenly a trolls breaks into song!

" Don't you dare look back!
Just keep your eyes on me
I said your holding back
She said 'Shut Up and dance with me' ",a male troll sang.

Poppy is confused as Branch smiles. Branch thinks the singing and dancing could bring something back.

" What are they doing? ",Poppy asks confused.

Branch turns to Poppy.

" Their singing and dancing. ",Branch replies.

" But,why?",Poppy asks.

"Well,that's what trolls do. We sing and dance at anytime and anywhere. Does that sound familiar?", Branch says hopeful.

Poppy pauses for a moment. None of this made sense or seemed familiar to her at all. After another failed attempt Branch spent the rest of the day trying to get Poppy to remember something. The next day,Branch is still trying to do so. The other trolls notice Branch and Poppy but, something seems different. Branch seemed be trying to remind Poppy of something. Then the other tribe leaders walk towards the couple.

" Hey Branch. Hi Poppy. ",they greet.

They start asking Poppy questions and she just looks at them confused. Branch notices the uncomfortable and confused expression immediately.

" hmmm...Hey guys? How do you say this?...",Branch says getting the others' attention.

Branch explains to them that Poppy has amnesia and what he has been trying to do. They are shocked and concerned by the news! Many days pass and Poppy hadn't gain back her memory! It breaks Branch's heart that she can't remember but, he is not giving up! Poppy never gave up on him so he is returning the favour. He loves Poppy and it doesn't matter whether she remembers or not!

Then one day,Poppy and Branch are in the bunker. Poppy is sleeping on the couch. Branch covers her with a blanket then plants a kiss on her cheek. He is just about to leave when the Pop Queen starts waking up.

"Branch?", Poppy says softly and sleepy.

Branch looks at his girlfriend and smiles.

" Yes,Poppy?",Branch says.

Poppy sits up and stretches her arms. The blue troll sits down on the couch next to her. She turns her head to her boyfriend.

"What time is it?", Poppy asks.

Branch looks at the clock on the wall then back at Poppy.

" It's three p.m. ",Branch replies.

Poppy smiles happily at Branch. A memory unknowingly comes into her mind.

" Oh then there is still time to go out and do something. How about we go to the beach. Maybe we will even see that old nest where we found your baby birds. I remember you didn't even make it to the beach that day...",Poppy says happily.

Branch's eyes widen in shock! He didn't tell her about his baby birds at all! She just remember a memory! Poppy notices the shock on Branch's face and becomes confused.

"What?", Poppy asks confused.

" You just remembered something... ", Branch replies softly and shock.

A happy and hopeful smile spreads across his face. Poppy gives Branch a shocked look. She couldn't believe it herself!

" I remembered something...I Remembered Something! ", Poppy says softly at first but, then louder and happy.

She jumps off the couch happily. Branch gets off the couch and hugs her happily. After that happened Branch had more hope than ever before! More memories came back to Poppy and soon she got all her memories! Branch and Poppy couldn't be happier.
