Trolls The Beat Goes On AU

Branch marches in his bunker to his chair upset. The bunker lights are on. There are a small table with Gary the remote sitting on it,a armchair next to the table and small curtains in the back covering up the open cabinets or shelving. He sits down on his chair and huffs. Gray sits on the table near by facing the troll. Branch turns his head to Gray feeling like Gary is looking at him.

"I know what your thinking Gray. Yes I should just talk to Poppy but, when ever I try to ask her out someone always needs her help! I know she is doing her best to be a good Queen but,it's just so frustrating!", Branch says upset.

Gray says nothing like usual. Branch crosses his arms still upset. He has been trying to ask Poppy out for a long while now! He is tired of being blocked by accident. Suddenly Branch hears a voice. It sounds like Cloud Guy's voice!

" What has you so down,my old buddy?",Cloud Guy's voice says out of nowhere.

"Great!", Branch comments sarcastic.

Then Cloud Guy pops out from the book shelves with a goofy smile on his face. He happily floats over to Branch happily as he greets the troll. He had been here for a short while waiting for Branch come home.

" Hey Branch. Long time no see. Love your bunker. So ready to tell me what has you in the dumps?", Cloud Guy says happily and goofy.

Branch just rolls his eyes at the cloud annoyed. He doesn't have the strength for this right now! Why does Cloud Guy have to come when he's already upset? Why does life hate him?

"Go. Away. Now. ", Branch says upset and softly.

Cloud Guy smirks goofy for a moment then gets an idea. He folds his arms then walks a little closer to Branch. His expression implies that he knows that Branch doesn't.

" Okay then. I just thought you would like to know about how half the time when you not around this strange troll guy comes along and seems a little too interested in her...", Cloud Guy says chill.

Then cloud turns around and starts slowly floating away. Branch's eyes widen and shock fills his whole body! He couldn't believe what he just heard! Branch immediately falls off his chair as he shouts!

"WHAT!?", Branch shouts shocked and unhappy from the top of his lungs.

The Cloud stops floating away and turns around to his frenemy. He has a knowing smile on his face. Branch quickly gets up from the floor then looks at the Cloud. Jealous fills Branch's body as his hands turn into fists!

" Who?!",Branch blunts out jealous.

One moment later,Cloud Guy has taken Branch to the Pop Village market. The market is full of trolls. They see the male Pop troll Cloud Guy was talking about walk up to Poppy with a flirty smile. Poppy doesn't notice that it is flirty so she innocently greets him.

Branch's hands immediately turn into fists as he throws daggers at the unknown male troll with his eyes! He is very jealous! Who does this troll think he is? If this troll makes a few wrong moves he will be dead meat within seconds! Then Cloud Guy makes his arms and legs disappear and floats up into the air close to Branch's ear. He starts whispering something in Branch's ear making Branch even more upset!

"I think the dude's name is Thorn. I hear that he flirts with many girls then ditches them after he gets bored and moves on to the next one...", Cloud Guy whispers.

There is no way Branch is going to allow Thorn to do that to Poppy! Poppy laughs innocently at a joke Thorn just made. She doesn't think that Thorn is flirting with her. As soon as Branch hears her laugh he starts walking over to them jealous. When Branch reaches them he tries his best to not look or sound jealous.

" Hey Pops. Who is this?",Branch says as friendly as possible.

Poppy turns to Branch with a big smile on her face. She is happy to see Branch again. She has been hoping that they could spend more time together today since they hadn't been able to for the past week. The Queen missed hanging out with him.

" Hey Branch. This is Thorn. ",Poppy says innocently.

Thorn gives Branch an evil look while Poppy wasn't looking. Branch holds back his glare since Poppy is looking at him. Then Thorn smirks at Branch mockingly before putting his hand on Poppy's shoulder. The Queen turns her head to Thorn innocently at the action. Branch feels his jealousy build more as his hands form into fists.

" We should really get going. You did promise me an private walk after all.",Thorn says flirty.

Branch glares at Thorn strongly. If looks could kill Thorn would be dead already! A week later Thorn is still hanging around Poppy. Thorn is pushing the limits and is lucky that Branch didn't snap out of jealousy! Queen Poppy none wiser to the two males' Civil war going on around her.

Poppy is busy making sure tomorrow's festival will be ready and fun. The Queen stands by a prize booth looking at her clipboard. She smiles as she clicks off another "To Do" off her list happily. She brings her attention to her watch then looks up hoping to see Branch. There is something she needs to ask him before the festival starts. The Pop Queen doesn't see him anywhere to her disappointment. Poppy frowns a little still looking for the teal troll.

" Maybe he isn't here yet?",Poppy says to herself softly.

" If your looking for Thorn then I'm right here...", Thorn's voice says flirty.

Hearing Thorn's voice surprises Poppy. It sounds like he is behind her! Poppy turns around with a innocent friendly expression. She sees Thorn walking over to her. Thorn has a subtly smug look on his face.

" Oh hey Thorn. I was actually looking for Branch but,it's nice to see you again. Here to help out with the preparation?",Poppy says politely.

" Just paying you a little visit. Wanna take a break to walk with me?",Thorn says flirty.

At the entrance of the festival Branch walks through eagerly and nervously. Today is the day. He is going to ask Poppy out to be his date for tomorrow festival and nothing is going to stop him this time! Branch is sure of it! Soon the teal troll sees Poppy but, he stops in his tracks with his hands forming into fists as he notices the latest thorn in his side! Poppy nods her head to Thorn then Thorn links his arm with hers making Branch very jealous! Then Thorn and Poppy start walking out of the festival.

" Not this time,Elf!",Branch says jealous and softly to himself.

Branch walks after them determined to not let Thorn take Poppy away from him! Poppy and Thorn talk as they walk slowly away from the festival. Thorn gets an idea as Poppy starts talking about how much she has been missing just hanging out with Branch. She misses having alone time with Branch.

" I'm sure he and you can handle having some more time apart. It's healthy for friends to do their own thing. Besides. You have me to keep you company. ", Thorn says calmly then flirty.

" I guess...", Poppy replies unsure.

Poppy isn't sure she should spend less time with Branch. She still misses him. Thorn spots his chance to ask Poppy out. He has been working her some time now so why not jump quickly to the ask so he could finally have his fun? Thorn smiles flirty at the Queen.

" So are going to the festival with anyone?",Thorn asks flirty.

" Well no but -...", Poppy says honestly but, gets cut off by Thorn.

" Then will you go to the festival with me? As my date.", Thorn asks.

Poppy stops walking immediately and so Thorn with a flirty expression. They unlink each other's arm then turn to face each other. The queen is now uncomfortable. She honestly is going to ask Branch to be her date and she really didn't want to go with Thorn!

" Look Thorn. You seem like a nice guy but, my answer is No... I'm hoping to spend it with Branch since we haven't been able to hang out...",Poppy rejects gently.

Thorn isn't going to take "No" as an answer so easily. Thorn becomes even more flirty making Poppy to feel more uncomfortable. The Queen tries back away from him but, then Thorn grabs her wrist tightly and pulls her close as he dips her backwards a little.

"What about now? Forget about Branch...",Thorn says flirty.

Now Poppy is really going to put her foot down! Just as Poppy is about to say something and get out of Thorn's arms she hears Branch's voice! And it sounds like he is behind them and is upset! The sound of it shocks her!

" NO! ", Branch's voice yells out loudly!

Thorn drops Poppy like she's a big sack of vegetables as he turns to see Branch several feet away but, still close! Branch runs over to them as Poppy gets back up. There is some grass and dirt on her dress and dust on her body too. The Queen looks at Branch concerned not caring about her dress.

" One: are you okay?Are you hurt? Two: You can't go with him!",Branch says panicked.

Branch's claim surprised Poppy! What did he mean she can't go with Thorn? She was going to reject Thorn again. What is going on? Is she been missing something?

" Branch,I'm fine and why can't I go with Thorn to the festival?",Poppy says honestly then confused.

" Cause I Wanted To Ask You To Go With Me! I have been trying to ask you out for a long while lately but, everytime I do something happens! I Love You,Poppy, and I want to be more than what we are now! Then suddenly Thorn shows up trying to take my chsnces of being with away from Me! It's all driving me crazy! Haven't you noticed how jealous I have been getting when Thorn's around? Thorn was contastly making moves on you and was only doing it to use you! I couldn't let him do that to you! ", Branch yells out honestly not holding back.

Poppy's heart warms up as a soft and understanding smiles appears on her face. He loves her? And wanted to go on a date with her? And he was jealous that another guy turned out to be after her? Poppy never thought Branch would feel that way about her. She feels the same way about him. Her heart skips a beat happily.

" Well, I was actually going to ask you to go with me. I love you too, Branch. ", Poppy admits honestly and lovingly softly.

" You Were!", Branch yells.

Then Branch realizes what Poppy just said. All his unhappy feelings go away as he takes what she told him in. It took him off guard. Hearing this makes Thorn a little angry that he is losing this time.

" You mean that?", Branch asks softly.

" Of course I do, Branch. Your the most important person in my life like how you said I was to you. I love you and you don't have to be jealous because, your the only guy I want...", Poppy says softly.

Branch smiles at her with a small,loving and soft smile. Branch feels like his fondest dream had just came true. His heart beats happily. Poppy smiles back at Branch the same way. Thorn tries to get between them but, just as he tries to ruin the moment Branch swings a punch at Thorn! He hits Thorn right across his face knocking him to the ground! Branch looks down at Thorn. He has been wanting to do that!

" That's for dropping Poppy, trying to use her and everything else!",Branch says seriously and protectively.

Poppy chuckles amused then smiles happily at Branch's actions. She finds adorable and likes it that he did it for her. Poppy honestly didn't care about Thorn anymore. She trust Branch and she doesn't need another Creek. Branch looks up at Poppy smiling happily.

The next day Branch and Poppy went to festival as their first date. Then they started dating and couldn't be happier to finally be together. Thorn had quickly moved on to the next girl like Cloud Guy said but, he stayed away from Branch and Poppy. Cloud Guy was the first to find out about Broppy's relationship status since he was watching whole story unfold. The Cloud knew Branch and Poppy needed a push forward to get where they are meant to be. And he was right about his ship.
