Friend: Chapter Three Are You Afraid Of The Big Bad Wolf?
I trudged over to History, and I sighed as I flumped in my desk. My second day of school. I saw Coy saunter in, right over behind me. I saw we had a substitute.
"Good morning, class, my name is Eric VonSwoe. You may call me Mr. E, or Mr. V, or more preferably, Mr. VonSwoe." His voice oozed. He was a dirty gray wolf, with paws that looked to big for his body. Great... I thought. "Today, we are learning about the events after the Great War." I immediately sobered up when he uttered those words. My ears went erect, and I focused. "Ms..." He trailed off.
"Lily Silvers?"
"Yes, yes. Ms. Silvers, do you have a problem with this?" Yes. Yes. Yes, I have a gosh dog problem! I shook my head. You idiot. And Mr. VonSwoe began the lesson. Oh dog.
"The Great War was over, but the Great Wolf still lived on." Coy raised his hand. "Yes, Mr....?"
"Coy Marrowheart. And, how did he live on if he was dead?" I flinched. No one noticed.
"I will get to that. Anywho. The Great Wolf had a daughter." I held my breath. "The wolf known as Mist. No one knows her last name." I breathed out. "She was called the Wolf Scourge. She killed many of the predator prey. She died on December 31, 2017, as it became the New Year. She died from going off a cliff. No one knows what happened." I do. I thought, my body rigid. He continued the lesson, for what felt like days. Finally I was saved by the bell. Heh. That sounds familiar... I thought. I ran out, fast as I could. The first place I went was my locker. The day dragged on, as I reached my other classes. Finally, lunch came.
I stopped by the restroom, to do what you do. I heard nails clicking on the tiled floor. I came out of the stall and jumped to see Saina and her crew.
"Hello, Silvers." Saina said. Her crew, two other pretty looking wolves, laughed. I scowled.
"Hello, Stupid! It is no coincidence whatsoever that the first letter of your name is congruent to that of the first letter of stupid!" I growled. Not. In. The. Furry. Mood. I thought, still staying true on my no cussing rule.
"Well, I saw what Coy did. You won't get away from that," Saina paused dramatically, "Alive." I rolled my eyes.
"Uh huh. Anyways, I'm gonna go-" Saina stepped on my tail and I yelped. "Blueberry muffin!" I yelled. One of the wolves in Saina's posse looked at me oddly, but Saina's laughter began to drown any thoughts I had.
"No. You will stay here!" Saina said. I glared, and began to walk out. I saw the faint spots dance in my vision as Saina and her crew beat me up. My vision was fading, and I heard a scuffle. I saw a silver and black wolf and three wolves on the ground, and my vision went black.
*~*~*~*~*
I opened my eyes, and saw a tan room. I looked around, confused, and saw two wolves looking at me. Coy and an older wolf.
"I am Mrs. Crescent. I am the school nurse. You are lucky Coy found you." She said. I rubbed the dizziness from my eyes and processed my information. Saina and her crew beating me up, I passed out. And Coy saved m- WHAT. My mind was back in session, and I realized that Coy saved me. Coy Marrowheart saved me.
"You awake Silvers?" Coy asked. I nodded. I saw a smirk on his face.
"Ms. Silvers, I think you are ready to go back to class." I nodded again. I got up, not without shooting a flare at Coy. We walked out of the nurses office, and Coy looked at me.
"So. You owe me, now. You were in some deep sh-"
"Shoes. Anyways, Coy, I do not believe I owe your smelly grass." I said.
"Ha ha, grass? You are weird. And yes, you do owe me. I don't go into the female restroom to save a dog in distress for free, you know." I scowled.
"What do you want then?" I asked.
"Hmm... Coy looked like he was thinking. "Tell you later." I rolled my eyes, and went with him to class.
We sat in the classroom, bored, as we learned useless science stuff we don't really need to learn. We were doing free work, and the class was loud. Unfortunately, Saina was in this class. She was let out of the principal's office, and she was the loudest.
"O.M.G. Did you effing see that wolf? Like seriously, she is trying to die. Like seriously." Saina said, loud and obnoxious. Her crew laughed along, even though they didn't look like they were listening. "And Coy though? Did you see him with Lily? Lily is a dumb nerd, and probably contagious. I bet by now she has infected Coy with her books and Her bullssh-"
"QUIET, SAINA." Coy shouted. From my time here, I learned that Coy was feared throughout the school. The class went quiet, Saina's eyes wide. I wrote a little message on a sticky note:
You afraid of the big bad wolf?
-L
I passed it over indirectly, and her face was furious. Serves you right.
