Graystripe

Lately as I've gotten back more into warriors I've actually noticed a lot of controversy on Graystripe! I can see why though. While he was a pretty cool dude in Into the Wild, I definitely agree that he veered off course in Fire and Ice. He let Silverstream get into the way of his friendship with Fireheart and his loyalty to ThunderClan. I definitely don't like this side of him, and I definitely think Fire and Ice, and most of Forest of Secrets, brings out the worst in Graystripe.

Apart from all of that junk though, I absolutely love him to death. Even when he was in this weird place in his life and kind of separated from Fireheart, he still stood up for him every once in a while.

Graystripe definitely grew out of all of these shenanigans he got himself into. I fell back in love with him after Forest of Secrets, and I actually thought it was so amazing and precious that he went to RiverClan to be with his kits. He's such a family man! :) He would do absolutely anything to protect the cats he loves.

Once he comes back to ThunderClan, he tries his hardest to make sure his loyalty can't be questioned, and I think that every moment after this that he is in the books is when he truly finds himself and becomes a loyal and trustworthy cat. I think that Firestar knew what he was doing when he made him deputy, and Graystripe became a genuine and true friend to him after all of the Silverstream stuff.

Aside from the plot, I just love Graystripe and his personality. He is one of the only cats in the whole series that actually has an amazing sense of humor and such a distinctive personality. Everything he says just puts a smile on my face! He also knows when to get serious though. He never cracks under pressure or in the face of danger, and can be said to be one of the strongest cats in his Clan. Ugh, I just love him so much.

The only thing I despise about Graystripe is his choice in she-cats. Millie can go eat crowfood.
