First time I saw the character: The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes TV series

So Black Panther first struck me as a Batman rip-off or something.  But as I've learned many times, looks can be deciving, and T'Challa proves that statement. With his Black panther suit made of the nearly indestructible Vibranium, he is faster, stronger, and tougher. Also T'Challa is no mere billionaire like Bruce Wayne. He's the king of his own country! He rules over the African country of Wakanda, which is known for its advanced civilization and vast amounts of Vibranium. This dude is also super smart, being one of the eighth smartest people in the Marvel universe. He even married Ororo Munroe, the weather manipulating mutant from the X-Men. Black Panther was also the first black superhero to appear in all comics. He's an Avenger/ King/Warrior/Scientist and it's cool that he's showing up more these days.
