First time I saw the character: X-Men movie

Jean was a member of Charles Xavier X-Men and is considered to be an "Omega-level mutant", possibly the strongest one out there. Like Professor X, Jean possesses strong telepathic powers, though she has shown to be far powerful than her mentor. Fighting with her fellow mutants and future husband Scott, she has shown to be a valuable member to their cause. However things changed once the cosmic entity known as the Phoenix force arrived. Seeing Jean as the perfect host the two combined, boosting her power to limitless heights. She even once beat Galactus! The guy who eats planets!! But as the saying goes power corrupts, and the longer Jean is bonded with the Phoenix, the higher the risk she could lose control and go Dark Phoenix, which is her evil side. She has died quite a few times but always seems get revived due to the Phoenix. Jean is one of my favorites because of her cool powers, her love interest with Scott, and how she really brings the X-Men together. Plus come on, she looks freakin awesome as Phoenix!
