Carol Danvers was a hero before she was super. She was an agent of the US Air Force until an alien bomb explosion mixed her human DNA with that of Captain Marvel's Kree DNA. After gaining her powers, she decides to use them for good and fight for justice, first as Ms. Marvel. Joining many teams including the Avengers, Carol is a powerful ally and might be (no is!) the mightiest avenger yet. Years later she dons a new costume along with the name Captain Marvel, and takes on new adventures in space as a cosmic warrior. Captain Marvel is an inspiration to all and can be said to be the face of women for the Marvel Universe. One of the most powerful and respected heroes out there, male or female, she does her best to be the best hero she can and create the brightest future she can. She's...AWESOME!
