First time I saw the character: X-Men: The Last Stand (bleh) (2006)

Beast is a mutant who definitely stands out in the X-Men due to his large body covered with bright blue skin and fur. But this isn't just another mindless monster, for Hank McCoy possesses the brawn and brains. Born with unusually large hands and feet, he joins the school for gifted youngsters as an X man. Based on the first class movie, Hank embarrassed and worried of being looked at as a freak, he takes a serum he created to eliminate his gifts and mutant abilities to looks more human. Unfortunately the serum malfunctioned to an extreme effect changing McCoy even more than before. His skin turns blue, he grows fur, pointed ears, animal teeth, and claws. Even with this new monstrous form he still is capable of using his smarts, often planning before attacking. Hank may be a beast, but he's no monster.
