"Okay Cutie, now you have to come with me, to get ready." Ryan said forwarding his hand for Gauri to take.

"Buddy." Gauri said clutching tightly on Omkara's hand.

"It's okay, you will be safe with him." Omkara assured looking down at Gauri.

"Won't you come with me?" Gauri asked looking up at Omkara innocently.

"I will be waiting for you here, you will be safe inside." Omkara said placing his hand on Gauri's hand.

"Okay." Gauri said walking towards Ryan.

"Kristy, take her inside and give her a complete makeover." Ryan instructed to a group of girls, who guided Gauri inside.

"How much time it's gonna take, I am getting late for the Ball." Omkara asked annoyed.

"Cool, Omkara." Ryan said placing his hand on Omkara's shoulder, "You don't know about girly things and besides it takes time to create a master piece, keep watching your date's gonna be the center of attention in the event today."

"Can you make it quick, I can't waste___" Omkara stopped watching Gauri, who was dressed in a long wine red dress that hugged the curves that were hidden under the baggy t-shirts all these days. Her hair was kept in a loose bun, her lips were wine red and make up was done natural yet elegant giving her a angel like look.

Omkara watched her absolutely awestruck.

"Didn't I told you, my team was creating a master piece." Ryan said moving towards Gauri.

"Wow! You are looking beautiful." Ryan complimented Gauri, who gave him a nervous and uneasy smile.

"Buddy." Gauri called bringing Omkara out of his day dream.

"You got me late." Omkara said with a annoyed look, "You guys could have speed up process."

"Sir, the actual makeup was finished in half an hour." The beautician said.

"Then what took you so much time." Omkara questioned.

"Buddy, this is feeling weird." Gauri said wiping the lipstick with the back of her hand smudging it.

"O god! It's sixth time in past one hour." The beautician cried, "This is what took us extra half an hour." She said walking towards Gauri to correct her makeup.

"Here, she's good to go." The beautician said walking Gauri towards Omkara carefully catching her both hands, so that she wouldn't smudge her lipstick again.

"Buddy, this is weird." Gauri complained pointing her attire and makeup, "And these Tall slippers they are hurting my feet." She said with shifting on her leg.

"And this weird color on my lips, I am feeling weird." Gauri said trying to wipe her lipstick but Omkara caught her hand stopping her.

"Don't." He warned looking around. "Hold this cup." He said giving her a glass full of water to hold in order you keep her hands busy, "And don't drink it."

"Buddy, take this glass or leave my hand, I have to wipe this weird thing off my lips." Gauri requested.

"Don't wipe it." Omkara said strictly, "Just tolerate it for a hour and after that you can wipe it off."

"But___"

"No buts, now come let's go." Omkara said and Gauri took a step towards him and stumbled.

"Ouch, buddy, I can't walk in these tall slippers." Gauri complained.

Omkara took a deep breathe.

"Hold my hand and walk slowly, you'll get used to them in no time." Omkara said taking Gauri's hand in his which looked soft and punny in his large ones.

"Walk slowly. " Omkara said guiding Gauri towards his car.

"God, how am I gonna bear her in the whole event? " Omkara thought mentally chastising himself.

"Buddy, what event is this? " Gauri asked looking around the grandly decorated venue.

"This is a charity ball to raise funds for poor and underprivileged children and stop calling me Buddy." Omkara said the last part with a irritation.

"Then what should I call you? Bro? " Gauri asked innocently.

"No...Don't call me Bro! " Omkara almost shouted.

"Call me Omkara." Omkara said looking at Gauri.

"Ok."

"Good, now let's go inside." Omkara said walking inside the Venue with Gauri.

"Buddy, still how much time it's gonna take for us to leave this place." Gauri asked after few minutes already bored being in middle of boring business men.

"The ball hasn't started yet and keep quiet." Omkara hissed.

"My legs are paining by wearing this tall slippers." Gauri complained pointing towards her heels.

"God, can't you just keep quiet."

"I am feeling hungry. You didn't even let me have my snacks." Gauri said rolling her lip out.

"What do I do with you?" Omkara groaned. "The food is being served in the backside of the venue, let's go there and feed you first." Omkara said walking towards the garden area.

"Wow! buddy so many foods! " Gauri exclaimed looking at different varieties if foods that were being served. "Can I eat whatever I want?"

"Yes, you can." Omkara said looking at her cheerful face.

"Do they also serves ice creams? "

"Yes, no go and grab a seat before it gets occupied." Omkara instructed and Gauri hurried towards the only table that was left in the corner.

Omkara was about to follow Gauri, when a business acquaintance of Omkara found him and stroke a conversation. He began to speak with the business associates about the deals all the while keeping an eye on Gauri, who was eating enjoying all varieties of food happily. So far he has seen woman who ate moderately thinking about calories and fats in their food but Gauri, she was different, she was enjoying eating everything without any concerns.

So far the only good thing Gauri found in the Charity ball is delicious food. She began to savour her taste buds without bothering about anyone. She was half way eating the different varieties if food prepared by famous chefs when she felt a movement under her table.

She bent down to look under her table out of curiousity and she was surprised finding a little boy with muddy clothes sitting under the table, his blonde hair was dirty with strays dried grass in it. Nevertheless he gave a big toothy grin to Gauri as soon as she came face to face with him.

"Hey buddy, who are you and what are doing under the table? " Gauri asked surprised.

"Hey, I am Edward, you can call me Eddy." The boy said smiling, "I heard they are serving delicious food here, so I sneaked inside and hid under this table."

"Wow! You sneaked into this party without getting noticed? "

"Yes." The boy said proudly. "But I didn't got my hand on the delicacies till now." He said sadly.

"Don't worry, Eddy." Gauri said consoling him, "I will go get food for you, there's a lot of food and Besides the people here are not really eating food at all." Gauri said and moved towards the Buffet table to get another plate full of food.

Omkara saw Gauri getting another plateful of food from the buffet table for the second time in the evening.

"She has an appetite of a dinosaur for her tiny appearance." Omkara thought looking at Gauri, who was walking back to her table with a plate full of food.

She discreetly sneaked the food under the table and Edward was so happy to get to eat the foods that he oy ever dreamed off having.

"Thank you." Edward's small voice cane from under the table.

"You are welcome and try that chocolate pudding, it's yummy." Gauri said relishing on the rich chocolate pudding.

"You are right, it's yummy. Can I get another?" Edward asked from under the table.

"I don't think so, the person who was serving the pudding, looked at me like I had switched off the TV in middle of his favourite cartoon episode. Nevertheless I will try to get you one." She promised.

"Who are you talking with? " Omkara asked standing beside Gauri making her look at him shocked with chocolate pudding in her mouth along with the spoon.
