Mei walked into the office with her head hanging low. Thousands of possibilities brewed in her head. She thought that maybe she could talk her way out of this sticky situation she got herself in. "How?!" Her conscience screamed. "EVERYONE knows what a bitch you are now, everyone saw the video, everyone knows what you did!"

But it's not like this was her fault entirely! Rei was the one who fed her ideas! He was the one who told her to turn her bedroom into an exact copy of Tobio's, he was the one who insisted she pursue him stubbornly, and he was the one who choked her for the authenticity of their plan!

That's correct. This isn't entirely her fault. Rei's as much to blame as she is!

"If I'm going down I'm taking him down with me!" She decided.

Once inside the principal's office, she was forced to sit infront of the imposing old man, while her home room teacher stood beside her, arms crossed.

"Well" the principal said. "This has been an eventful month. First I suspended Kageyama-kun under false charges, next I suspended two promising students just this morning for breaking and entering just so they could prove his innocence.... and now... " he pinched the bridge of his nose, stressed.

"Now this?"

"Kōchō yurushitekudasai!" Mei quickly shouts. "I was desperate! I was really hurt by Kageyama-kun! I was an emotional mess and wasn't thinking properly" she hoped this would gain her enough sympathy to lower her punishment a bit.

"Y-you see I suffer from OCD, ADHD, a-and various personality disorders! I hadn't taken my pills because I ran out... So I was a bit unhinged that night" Mei choked out her sob story.

"I w-would h-have never schemed that terrible plot against poor Kageyama-kun had I been right in the head!" She bursted into tears, covering her face with her hands, wailing loudly. "I'm sorry! I'm so sorry..."

she peeked behind her hands, after a few moments.. To check for the principal's reaction.

He remained sitting in his chair stone faced.

He then reached for his box of tissues and handed it to her. Mei took the tissues and wiped her eyes with it.

"Let's just get this over with" her homeroom teacher muttered, looking tired and annoyed. "I have a class to teach"

The door slides open and in walked her cousin Rei, followed by her parents.

Mei's eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets when she saw her mother and father, who were supposed to be oversees. "Mama?! Papa?! W-what are you doing here?" She demanded through gritted teeth.

"The real question is, Mei" her mother began seriously. "What the hell have you been up to young lady?!" She screamed the last part, making Mei flinch and blush.

"Rei, if you please" The principal said. The blonde pulls out his voice recorder and pressed the small red button on the side.

Mei's voice was heard from the recorder. With it everyone heard the girl's furious threats, Kageyama's annoyed and sometimes desperate pleas, even certain conversations that Mei was so sure were private and Rei couldn't have known where it was located in for him to be there and record....

"Unless the sly bastard was two steps ahead of me"

When the recording was over, Mr and Mrs. Tokoto were stunned into silence.

"I think the best course of action will be an entire month's suspension for miss Mei" the principal broke the icy silence. "As well as a ban from the volleyball court... and" he thought for a moment.

"How about a restraining order too?" Rei suggested.

"What?!" Mei looked alarmed, her parents meanwhile looked ashamed and embarrassed.

"That is not up for us to apply" the home room teacher said.

"It's Kageyama-kun's decision. Unfortunately he's not here because of his own suspension-"

"Which will be lifted immediately" the principal decided.

Mei was shivering in her seat. "B-but you can't! You can't do this!"

"Actually we can" the principal corrected. "Your grades were never impressive to begin with, you have a reputation for being a stalker and a harasser, you unjustly accused an innocent student of assault" he listed. "And the recorder and the video were the last straw for us, we have all the evidence against you"

Mei sat there, stunned. She didn't know what to do or what to say.

"W-what about Rei?!" She pointed at her cousin.

"What about him?" The principal asked.

"He was part of this! He's at fault just as much as I am" she hissed.

"He's not a student of Karasuno, therefore we have no rights to punish him" the principal pointed out. "It'll be up to his guardians if he'll be punished for his deeds"

"B-b-but! But-"

"Sayonara Tokoto Mei-san"

Oikawa walked back home feeling emotionally and physically drained from the eventful day he's had. He just wanted to go home, kick off his pants, and lay in bed while watching alien movies.

"Oh yeah, I have to explain to my parents that I'm suspended.." He remembered.

They were definitely not going to be happy about this.

"I'll probably have to explain the whole breaking and entering to Karasuno too, and about what I've been doing all day" he cringed as he imagined what his mother and father's expressions would be.

What if they think Tobio-chan was a bad influence to him because of this? What if they ban Tobio-chan from ever coming to the house? Or worse, force them to break up?

That would make everything he did, his sacrifices, all for naught.

"Ahh well.. Guess I'll know what to do once I get home. Maybe I can convince them to be on Tobio-chan's side after I tell them about Mei, and maybe exaggerate a few things?"

Pretty soon he's standing infront of the door to his house, a lump on his throat and an itch behind his neck.

After minutes of standing there, feeling foolish, he finally managed to will himself to enter.

"M-mom? Dad? I'm home" he echoed after stepping inside.

His mother emerged from the kitchen looking surprised. "Back so soon? Was school canceled?" She asked.

Tooru's lips quivered as he forced out an awkward smile. "Uhhh... no just, things happened and-" this was harder than he thought. "I... won't be coming to school for a while"

His mother raised a brow, expression expectant. "What did you do?" She asked with a disappointed sigh, already piecing things together from his nervous expression and the context of his words

Soon they were in the living room. Tooru nervously picked his nail while his mother dialed his father's number

"I want you to know that Tobio-chan isn't at fault and that the entire thing was my decision" he said. "Don't blame my boyfriend, he's innocent"

"Go on" she encouraged.

So Tooru began his narration. He explained everything, not leaving out any details behind. How Mei's constant harassment forced Tobio to seek a pretend boyfriend just to be rid of her

The whole time, his mother kept her poker face, which freaked him out even more. But he kept his cool till the end.

Then he reached the part about Tobio's suspension. Mei framing him and ruining his reputation, the constant bullying and harassment from his peers, and finally the night he and certain friends broke into Karasuno to get the video footage they needed to prove his precious boyfriend's innocence.

"It was just so unfair!" Tooru hissed "The teachers never even looked into it, they just suspended my Tobio-chan from the words of Mei's alone! you should have seen how shocked he was mom, it was awful to look at"

"Hmm... And then what happened?"

"Well" he told her about earlier that morning.

He expected his mother to explode. Instead she just sat there with a cool expression, biting her lower lip and she mauled over what he just explained to her.

"You did all of that... For that boy? for your former kouhai now boyfriend?" She asked. Tooru didn't say a word.

"He must be more precious to you than I thought"

"Ye-"

BOOGSH!

The door slammed open and Tobio came inside, panting. "It's not his fault! Don't be angry at him!" He shouted. Tooru's mother looked alarmed. "Huh?" She said.

"Tooru got suspended because of me" Tobio said while catching his breath. "Please don't be mad at him, be angry at me instead, ever since I started dating him his life became a mess, and it's all my fault"

Tooru went over to his boyfriend and sat him down, nervously looking at his mother. "Tobio-chan, I was just telling her-" he began.

The couple were then surprised by a girlish giggle from Mrs. Oikawa. The woman was giggling uncontrollably that she had her hands clamped over her mouth.

"My, aren't you two just, adorable?" She cooed. "Kageyama-kun, my son has just finished explaining to me your side of the story, and insisting that none of this was your fault" she told him, making the ravenette blush.

"I-"

"And now you came barging in ready to defend his honor and insisting that he's the one without faults, and that you're the one to blame?" She smirked teasingly. "Really, you two are so compatible it's endearing"

"S-so you're not mad?"Tooru dared ask.

"I'm a little upset yes, but I understand you boys" she gave them a sympathetic smile.

"I just wish dad would feel the same" he muttered.

"Let me deal with you father sweetheart" she waved a dismissive hand.

"So, who's hungry for tempura?"

Both boys raised their hands.

The woman led the boys to the kitchen where she showed them a large plate full of tempura. The couple gorged them selves, with Tooru sometimes making Tobio feed him, or flirting with him in front of his mother

And entertained Mrs. Oikawa

Tobio stayed the rest of the day in the Oikawa residence, feeling more rested and happy being in the presence of his boyfriend.
