I adore this ship

I don't really know exactly why I'm so attached to the ship, it's just so cute!

ErrorInk works because their opposites, it also makes for great story telling.

ErrorInk stories have much variety, some make Ink female and have a soul (I find that annoying) and I've even read one fanfic where Error was a female.

But the stories I usually like are the ones where Error is the first to have a crush on Ink, being tsundere about it and try to avoid/kill Ink to do what he does best and destroy the emotions, after a battle that Ink won, Ink would spare Error and ask to become friends. Error would accept, but still be an asshole, like the tsundere he is.

Ink would soon fall for Error and the ship is slow cooked, and at the end of the book Error and Ink overcome a problem and confess to each other.

Sometimes, it would end there.

Other times, it would show them in the future (maybe a lemon too ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)) with Paperjam and Gradient. But I usually like the ones where it would end on a sweet note, with chance of a sequel.

I also like when it ends on a bittersweet/sad ending. Bittersweet endings would be when they confess to eachother as one dies in the others arms. A sad ending would be one dying while they were dating/before they could confess to eachother.

Now the things I hate in ErrorInk stories;

Them being humans/change of gender.

Ink having a soul.

Lots of self harm for no real good reason for it(it's sad I had to add that)

No capitalization, punctuation, or spacing between paragraphs, basically the stories with no grammar. The only thing that I get slightly triggered at but let it slide is when people don't say 'an' in front of a word that starts with a vowel. I'm a grammar nazi XD

Them being already together, leaving out the sweet confession and funny but cute teases, unless done right, like in the story Just One Secret. I stopped reading the story though because Ink died and Error went to a different timeline being confused of it all, I cringed at it and felt so bad for Error XD

The story ending on a lemon, like c'mon, lemons are supposed to be a sweet surprise midway or nearing the end of the book

Yanderes, unless done correctly

Backstory that is uncannon to Ink and Error's lore, or if it is different, it isn't too bizarre. This doesn't count for stories that don't take place in a place that isn't the multiverse, such as a school, city, jail, etc.

Somebody trying to break apart the relationship, for no real good reason.

Nightmare as the villain (oof I love Nightmare-)

Them having children so early on, unless done correctly or it being the driving point of the plot

Nekos for no good reason, unless it's the driving point of the plot, and affects the story in a good way, not just shoved in there for the sake of things

Ink having an AU 

Ink having a Papyrus/brother (not including Zephyr)

In highschool stories, when Error and Ink get forced to work together on a project, or sit by each other in every class

Ink being chill about everything, I usually love Error being the one who falls in love first. I don't know why, but I love seeing the soft side of Error! (doesn't really make me mad, just a preference)

No direct plot, and it feels like everything is going everywhere. This doesn't include OneShots.

That's pretty much it!

How to make your ErrorInk stories better;

Not have it being focused mainly on one of the two, unless it's for the entire plot point.

Have fun with it, if you want to add other ships along in there, do so!

Try to know the lore behind the two before writing, I made that mistake and can't turn back on it, like not giving Ink a soul, making Ink male (bc he's cannonly male), and not giving him some sort of obsettion over Error, vise versa. Also, don't give Ink a papyrus. Please. Or an AU.

Ink lives in the Doodle Sphere, OH! And keep the two's phobias in mind, Ink's fear of emptiness and white, and Error's fear of touch (I feel you Error)

For highschool stories; No teen pregnancy, unless it's the main driving point of the plot.

Don't make Error so nice. Error's an ass, let him be cocky and a little rude.
