Naming a character

Naming a character is like naming your baby. Now you don't want to name your kid with something that you made up without a reason. People will tease the poor young one and you don't want that to happen.

Imagine that to your own OC.

Naming them depends on what certain fandom they come from or any origins you can think of. You need to name them correctly in order to fit in the story.

But, of course, most (or some) stories I read have modern names. But why can't we just use an ancient or Norse name unless your OC comes from the future?

Don't just give your OC a name which you just made up. Except naming your dragons.

Or don't listen to my advice. Because 83% of the Gang's names are suspiciously made up, or not.

What I don't like is giving a name which is from other country and your OC is a Norse. For example, your OC's name is Katsuo and he's a Viking. The heck?? Unless your OC is Asian and he moved to Europe which is truly an exemption.

Most of the names from HTTYD are Norse (except for the certain people I mentioned a few paragraphs ago) like the name Astrid (means beautiful).

Why not try to search for a Viking name for your OC if your OC is one for a change?

Now get your lazy butts off and search some names!
