MTM#XXXIII: THE KINGS

ZEUS'S POV

"Hi?" Ripple's voice cut through the silence.

"What on earth, why did you come out?" Venom asked, eyes narrowing suspiciously.

"If it were up to me, I wouldn't leave my room, but I have to deliver this," Ripple said, waving an envelope she was holding.

The envelope was well-packaged and sealed securely. It looked important.

"I'll deliver that—" Venom started to say.

"I'm sorry, but Lord Viper instructed that no one can touch it except me and him," Ripple interrupted firmly.

"Then go see him in his room," I suggested.

"Excuse me, I'm just going to see him," Ripple said, hurrying off.

I watched Venom's gaze follow Ripple until she disappeared into Viper's room.

"That seems important. What do you think? Why didn't he order one of us to deliver it?" Venom asked, turning to me.

I just shrugged, unable to provide an answer. Curiosity gnawed at me, but I knew better than to pry. Ripple was fiercely loyal to Viper and wouldn't divulge anything.

A minute later, Ripple emerged from Viper's room. Suddenly, there was a loud crash from inside, followed by the sound of Viper's furious yelling. He was throwing things around in a rage.

"What the heck did you do?" Venom snarled, grabbing Ripple by the neck.

This is bad.

Ripple's eyes widened in fear, her hands instinctively clutching at Venom's arm as she struggled to breathe. The scene was chaotic, the air thick with tension. Viper's angry shouts continued from behind the closed door, echoing ominously.

"Let her go, Venom," I said, stepping forward. "This won't solve anything."

Venom's grip tightened momentarily before he released Ripple, who fell to her knees, gasping for air.

"Explain yourself," Venom demanded, his voice cold and sharp.

Ripple coughed, trying to compose herself. "I-I don't know what happened. I just delivered the envelope as instructed."

Venom glared at her, frustration evident on his face. "If Viper gave specific orders, he must have had a reason. Something's not right."

I nodded in agreement. "We need to find out what was in that envelope. But first, let's calm Viper down before things get worse."

ICE'S POV

"Then Brizon and Joshua won't be able to attend class for more than a month?" Hyra asked as she rested her head on my thigh.

We were currently in the botanical garden, taking a break. I hadn't seen her for more than a week, and when I finally did, all the exhaustion I had been carrying disappeared.

"That's right," I replied.

"That's sad. By the way, Maniego, what kind of person is Demon?"

Why is she asking about Demon?

"She is the worst of the worst," I said flatly.

Hyra gasped, sitting up from lying on my lap and cupping both of my cheeks. "I want to meet her," she said, looking excited.

I know Hyra can be weird sometimes, but this is the weirdest thing she has ever asked for.

"Demon is dangerous. She took someone important to me, and I don't want her to take you too."

"Huh? Who did she take from you?" she asked.

I kissed her on the forehead, then on the tip of her nose, and finally gave her a kiss on the lips.

"I will tell you everything at the right time," I said, then pulled the back of her head to deepen the kiss.

---

I was five when Mom left and six when she came home—a cold corpse.

Mary was three years old at that time. She grew up without ever feeling a mother's nurture. She always came home from school crying because she was bullied and called motherless. Dad was depressed then; all our business and property were almost gone. And the culprit of all this was none other than Demon. She blew up Mom's place.

I promised my friend Carl that I would become strong and make Demon pay for what she did.

When I was ten, a man visited the house and talked to my father. It seemed like their discussion was important because they had men in black guarding the room.

When they came out, they spoke to Carl and me about becoming masks.

Being a mask was my only way to face Demon, so I didn't think twice and accepted the offer. In exchange, I asked to be the leader.

Under my leadership, I became not only the leader of the masks but also one of the four rulers. I controlled the East part of the underground.

As time went on, I grew more excited to meet Demon, but she was elusive. She would cause chaos in the underground and then vanish as if nothing happened.

I watched her fight once, and I have to admit, I was scared.

She killed my mother, but I couldn't act on my desire to kill her without a plan, especially knowing how strong she was.

Then... she disappeared for several years after securing her position as one of the leading figures.

Until she suddenly reappeared in the Caribbean and declared that she would take back the masks.

Those masks belonged to Luci, and now that she had passed away, they should go to the authority. Demon had no right to them.

She began to sow evil, running illegal activities and killing without remorse. I can't count on my hands the number of people she killed. She is a murderer and deserves to be put to death. Many people suffered, and my family was one of them. Since then, I promised that I would take revenge for what she did to my mother and for the people she killed.

---

"What if all she wants is to change the world? Like, you know, separate the good from the bad?" Hyra asked, her innocence clear in her voice.

I smiled a little. "She's really innocent," I thought.

"Demon is just a human, not a god. How can she separate the bad from the good? The only thing she wants is power to conquer everything," I explained.

"Maniego, what is your dream?" Hyra asked, playing with my hair.

This is a very random conversation, but as long as she is the one in front of me and talking to me, I will never be bored.

"I only want two things: the first is to kill Demon with my own hands, and the second is to marry you," I said.

Her eyes shone with admiration. "I can make one of your dreams come true," she said excitedly.

"I know, because you're the only girl I want to marry."

"Not that," she said.

"Huh?"

"Huh? Oh! Ahahaha, lunch time is almost over—" She stood up, but I pulled her back to me and, without hesitation, claimed her lips.

I couldn't help it; her lips seemed to be calling me.

"Don't leave me yet," I begged.

"Then let's stay here and make me happy," she said.

"Make you happy? How do I do that?"

"Undress in front of me," she teased with a mischievous smile.

Hyra's request caught me off guard, but the playful glint in her eyes made me laugh. The tension from earlier melted away as we shared a moment of light-hearted banter.

"You're unbelievable," I said, shaking my head with a smile.

"Only for you," she replied, winking.

We settled back into a comfortable silence, enjoying each other's company amidst the tranquility of the botanical garden. The sun began to set, casting a warm glow over us. In that moment, all thoughts of revenge and danger faded away, leaving just the two of us and the promise of a future together.

Hyra's fingers gently trailed through my hair, sending a shiver down my spine. Her touch was soft, almost reverent. I leaned into her hand, closing my eyes and savoring the feeling of being close to her.

"You're really something else," I murmured, my voice husky.

"And you love it," she teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

I couldn't argue with that. There was something about Hyra that drew me in, made me forget the darkness in my life. I reached out, cupping her face in my hands, and pulled her closer. Our lips met in a tender kiss, slow and sweet, as if we had all the time in the world.

Hyra responded eagerly, her hands sliding up my chest to wrap around my neck. The kiss deepened, becoming more passionate. I felt a surge of desire, a need to be closer to her, to feel her warmth against me.

Without breaking the kiss, I gently pushed her down onto the soft grass. Hyra giggled softly, her eyes never leaving mine as she lay back, pulling me down with her. I hovered above her, our breaths mingling, and for a moment, we just stared at each other, lost in the intensity of the moment.

"I love you," I whispered, my voice filled with raw emotion.

"I know," she replied, her voice equally tender.

I kissed her again, more urgently this time. Her hands roamed over my back, pulling me closer. The world around us faded away, leaving just the two of us, wrapped in each other's arms. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting the garden in twilight, we let our love for each other guide us, exploring and cherishing every touch, every kiss, every moment.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"What's going on at this meeting, and why is Master the only one absent?" Carl asked while facing the twelve elders.

They were in the Vixen because of the sudden meeting called by the First Elder.

"I called you because of an important matter," said the First Elder.

"If it's something important, why isn't Master here?" Jarvis asked.

Everyone fell silent and waited for the elders' response. They wondered if this was important, then Ice should be there.

"We elders have decided to replace Ice as the First Mask and remove him as one of the rulers."

"HUH?" Nathan stood up from his seat and approached the elder who spoke, grabbing him by the collar. "Do you hear yourself? None of us can do what he did, and that title is already attached to his name."

"I understand how you feel. Ice is a good leader, but these past few months he has been neglecting
everyo—"

"Shut the fuck up, you old man. If you don't shut up, I'll blow your fucking mouth off," Nathan interrupted, his voice filled with anger.

Everyone stopped and turned their eyes to Nathan. They were all amazed by his outburst.

"If you want to defeat Demon, you must trust Master. He is the only one who can defeat that fucking Demon," Cyrus added, then approached Nathan.

"We won't agree to what you want. Ice will be king, and that's what will follow," Nathan said with a serious face.

"Pffft—" Everyone looked at the Second Elder. "But you are not the one to decide on that matter," he said with a silly smile while looking at Nathan.

Nathan clenched his fists and restrained himself from punching the Second Elder. The Second Elder noticed this, so he thought of a way to annoy him even more.

"If I'm not mistaken, Claire Marasigan is already engaged to Ice, but Ice is still seeing other women. He's not giving off a pleasant image," the Second Elder said, enjoying teasing the Masks. "He gives men a bad image."

All the masks were pissed off by the Second Elder.

"I came here because I thought there was a meeting going on, but it seems that I found something different," a voice said.

Everyone, except Nathan, bowed to pay respects to Vladimir.

"I'm sorry for what you saw. I didn't expect your presence either, Lord Vladimir. We were talking about something important," the First Elder said while staring at the floor.

"Then why don't you discuss that important matter with me?" Vladimir sat in the empty seat and signaled the elder to begin.

"We talked about removing Ice as the leader of the masks and as one of the rulers," the First Elder began. "He wasted many chances to catch Demon. It's been more than three months, but they still don't know where the White Monarchy is hiding. Isn't it his duty to keep the country at peace? But Demon is destroying it little by little, and he is not taking any steps to catch Demon because he prioritizes useless things! Demon is dangerous, and so is the White Monarchy. If we can't get ahead of them, we might not be able to do anything," the First Elder explained.

"Are you afraid of what Demon can do?" Vladimir stood up and faced the Masks. "I'll tell you one thing: if you can't kill Demon, she herself will kill you," he said calmly. "I'll give you one month. Within one month, you have to kill Demon because if not, Ice will be unmasked."

"It's not that easy," Jared murmured, his hands shaking.

"You have to choose: will you kill Demon, or will Ice be unmasked?" Vladimir had a silly smile on his lips that he had been wearing for a while. "By the way, elders, I'm here to tell you that I want you to announce the marriage of Ice and Claire as soon as possible."

Nathan was startled by what he heard. He didn't want anyone to interfere with Ice's decision to choose a partner.

He stood up and faced the elders. "We're going to kill Demon, but in return, let Ice choose the person he's going to marry. He is the youngest among us, but he deserves the position of king. None of us can do that duty. He is the rightful king of the underground," Nathan's words were full of sincerity as he stared into Vladimir's eyes.

Vladimir smirked, then left the place. "Let's see how long you can last."

---

As Vladimir exited the room, the tension remained visible. The elders exchanged glances, unsure of how to proceed. Nathan's words hung heavy in the air, a testament to the loyalty and determination of Ice's followers.

Carl, trying to lighten the mood, clapped Nathan on the back. "We've got a month. Let's make it count."

Jarvis nodded. "We need to strategize. Demon won't go down easily."

Nathan took a deep breath, his resolve hardening. "We'll gather every resource, every ally. Ice's leadership is worth fighting for."

The room slowly came back to life as the Masks began discussing their plan of action. Determination replaced doubt, and unity replaced discord. They would face the challenge head-on, for Ice, for the underground, and for justice.

Outside, Vladimir paused, a satisfied smile on his lips. The seeds of conflict were sown, and now it was a waiting game. "Let's see how they handle this," he thought, disappearing into the shadows of the evening.

ICE'S POV

*Cuddle*

*Cuddle*

We ended up cuddling each other. We decided to skip class and head to my unit. Hyra is wearing my t-shirt, and she looks sexy in it.

"Come here, let me pet you," she said, now petting my head.

"Hyra, have you ever liked someone?" I asked, curiosity getting the better of me.

"Oh yes, but he doesn't like me," she answered without hesitation.

Wait... What? Who the fuck is that?

"What? Who wouldn't like you?"

"You're right, but I think he's weird. Who doesn't like the most beautiful creature? He's the only one," she replied.

Every time she receives praise, her confidence grows. She is full of herself.

"How about you? Have you ever loved someone?" she asked suddenly.

"Not yet. I just learned love since I saw you," I admitted.

She looked at me as if she was disgusted with me and acted like she wanted to throw up.

"What is that for?"

"So you're still a virgin?" she asked, catching me completely off guard.

"What the fuck! Where did that come from? I... I mean, does that matter?"

"No, in that case, I'll teach you," she said, pushing me down and straddling my stomach.

"Hyra, you don't have to—ahhh!" I moaned when she started moving her hips up and down.

She moved her hips while staring into my eyes.

This is bad.

"Maniego, let me ask you... Do you love me?"

Do I have to answer her question? Isn't it obvious?

"At first, I didn't like you because you were strange, but I didn't know that I would fall for you so much that I couldn't go back to my old self," I confessed.

She smiled and rubbed my lips gently.

"What if I told you to forget Demon and come with me? Would you agree?"

Join her and forget Demon? The Demon who caused all the suffering in my family? The Demon who is the reason why we could not spend time with Mom? The Demon who I hate?

How can I forget her so easily?

"I can only be satisfied if Demon is gone. The moment I kill her, everything will be fine, and nothing will stand in our way," I said firmly.

"So you don't agree to my offer?"

"As a Mask, I have a duty to fulfill."

"Then there's nothing I can do," she said brightly, then hugged me. "I hope you won't regret it."

"RINGGGGGGG!"

I didn't hear the last word she said because my phone had been ringing for a while. Nathan is calling. This is the 65th time he has called me today. Did something happen while I was gone?

"Hell—"

"You have to declare war against the White Monarchy!" Nathan's voice startled me.

"Can you tell me what happened?" I tried to stay calm, but Nathan had no intention of slowing down.

"If you want to be with Hyra, you have to defeat Demon first."

It looks like something really happened that I don't know.

"That's what I plan to d—"

"If you wanna be with Hyra... kill Demon first, along with the whole White Monarchy."

But this man hates violence.

"It's rare to hear that from you."

"We don't have time left. If you can't kill Demon, you will be stripped of your power as a Mask, and you won't be able to be with Hyra."

It looks like the elders did it. Meeting without me, huh!

"Did Lord Fukushima agree?"

"He gave the elder permission to do that," Nathan replied, then I heard a deep sigh on the other line. "Where are you? Can you go to the underground right now? Let's talk about what's going to happen."

"Right now?" I looked in Hyra's direction; she was fast asleep.

"Are you and Hyra together?" I didn't answer, but he already knew what that meant. "We will wait for you," he said, then hung up.

I went to Hyra and kissed her forehead, then down to her lips. I thought she was asleep, but she responded to the kiss.

"Kiss me more, Maniego," she said between kisses.

I climbed onto the bed and lay on top of her. As she requested, I kissed her deeply and passionately, savoring every moment. Her hands roamed over my back, pulling me closer, as if she never wanted to let go. I could feel her warmth, her breath mingling with mine, and the intensity of our connection grew.

"Hyra, you drive me crazy," I whispered against her lips.

"Good," she murmured, her voice filled with desire. "Because I want you, all of you."

Her words ignited a fire within me. I kissed her again, my lips trailing down her neck, savoring the taste of her skin. Her body responded eagerly, arching against me, craving more.

I slid my hands under her t-shirt, feeling the smoothness of her skin. She gasped as I explored her body, every touch sending shivers down her spine. Our kisses grew more urgent, our movements more desperate.

"Ice," she moaned, her voice filled with longing.

"I want you too, Hyra," I replied, my voice husky with desire.

We moved together in perfect harmony, lost in the moment. Every touch, every kiss, every caress brought us closer, until there was nothing left between us but pure, unbridled passion.

ZEUS'S POV

"So, all this time, Lukas is the son of the person who helped Demon?" Venom asked in disbelief.

"Are you surprised too?" Viper replied calmly, sipping his tea.

I looked around and saw the mess in his room. After he poured out his anger on the things in his room, he called me and told me to make him tea. Now he sipped it slowly, as if nothing had happened.

"Then what else are you doing here? Shouldn't you be taking Demon back from him now? What if Demon falls because of him? What about our plan?" Venom pressed.

"You worry too much about useless things. Hyra is not that naive. As you know, she will not abandon what she has started," Viper said, sipping his tea again. "And one more thing, Maniego will not just give up his position for someone."

"I do not understand," Venom said, confused.

"Hyra wants to always be the first choice, and in Ice's place, he wants to put aside everything except killing Demon. Hyra wants her to be Ice's priority, but killing Demon is Ice's first priority," I explained to Venom.

"Hyra thinks of herself as high and almighty, so she won't choose someone who only thinks of her as second," Viper added.

"Are you telling me that Hyra won't choose Ice?" Venom was still confused.

"Exactly!" Viper put down his cup, then peeked out the window where he grinned and looked at us. "Speaking of the devil, she's here."

THIRD PERSON'S POV

*BOOOOGSSHH*

The door flew open, and the next thing they saw was Demon attacking Viper.

Viper didn't avoid the attack, so they both fell to the ground. Zeus hesitated, unsure whether to help them or not.

"YOUUUUUU!!" Demon looked pissed off.

"What can I help you with?" Viper said, lying on the floor with Demon sitting on his stomach, her hands squeezing his neck.

"Who would you choose? Me or—"

"I will choose you again and again. I will choose you even if I am against anyone. I will choose you even if everyone does not like you. I will choose you because you are you," Viper declared.

Zeus and Venom exchanged glances. They knew Viper was only saying it to calm Demon down, but the line was still so cheesy it gave them chills.

"Are you telling the truth?" Demon asked, tears in her eyes.

Viper gulped, then looked away before answering, "Ye-ah!"

"So, you love me?"

"Not a chance."

"WHAT?"

"What?"

"But you said you would choose me over anyone."

"That's true, but I didn't say I love you."

"What? That's rude."

Demon returned to her normal self, thanks to Viper.

ZEUS'S POV

"Why haven't you told her yet?" I asked.

We were currently on the rooftop, both releasing stress by smoking.

Viper blew out smoke, then leaned against the railing. "There's time for that."

"Are you waiting for them to declare war?"

"You're smart, Zeus. Hyra is lucky to have someone like you by her side. Please die."

"I won't leave her side, I promise."

Viper grinned, then looked up at the sky and raised his hand as if reaching for the stars. "Their declaration of war will be our reason to fight them. Even Demon can't do anything about it. And when everyone is killing each other, I will tell her the truth. I want to see her reaction."

Viper grinned from ear to ear, excited. Imagining Demon's reaction brought him great joy.

"You are so cruel," I mumbled, then blew out smoke.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Checkmate!" The second elder hissed, having lost for the seventh time in a game of chess.

"Maybe you're cheating. Who can win a chess game seven times in a row?"

"Why don't you just accept that you lost seven times in one sitting?"

"Whatever. I'm going home. Probably the other elders are looking for me."

"What do you think of the two kings?" Vladimir asked, stopping the second elder from leaving.

"You mean Viper and the first Mask?"

*Nod*

"They are different. One can kill you for the world, and one can kill the world for you. They are interesting, aren't they?"

"Do you know why I chose Ice as the first Mask? It's because he's Sofie's son, and Demon can't touch him," Vladimir revealed.

The second elder flinched at this information.

"Ice will be the king of the underground in the future."

"I'm sorry, but Ice doesn't have much ability, unlike Viper who has already entered the battlefield. He was only included in the top 3 because Demon manipulated the list," the second elder explained. "Ice learned in a good environment, while Viper learned in a chaotic one where you have to kill to survive."

"That's why I want Ice to be king. He can apply what he learned in the beautiful environment you mentioned."

"Tsk!" The second elder clicked his tongue, knowing Vladimir was just playing with him. "In war, you don't need a good leader. You need a strong one."

"You are too serious, Uno. I want to tease you even more," Vladimir laughed. "Any news about the White Monarchy's plan?"

"Viper doesn't trust me, so he won't tell me the plan."

"It's okay if you don't know. And don't worry, I'll still take care of you when the White Monarchy falls."

"That won't happen because I'm sure you will all fall into his hands."

"Let's see, Uno. Let's see."

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Glad you're here," Nathan said, patting Ice's shoulder. He sat in front of him with the twelve Masks by his side.

Along with Joshua and Brizon, who still had bandages, and Dos, who did nothing but come because of Jarvis' nagging.

"So what did you and the Elders talk about while I was gone?" Ice asked directly.

"Nothing, we just talked about getting your mask back," Jarvis said, earning bad looks from everyone for his direct response. "But of course, we don't agree."

"I'll explain," Carl said, and everyone agreed. "The Elders want to remove you from being a Mask because of your carelessness. But when we kill Demon, they will put you in a higher position. All we need to do is kill Demon. That's all," Carl sounded desperate.

"After you defeat Demon, Lord Vladimir also promised to let you choose who you will marry. In short, you can be with Hyra and not Claire," Joshua added.

Ice's face lit up, filled with courage because of what Joshua said.

"Now we need a strong plan to defeat them," Kevin said.

"Aren't there a lot of people who hate Demon? Why don't we come together to defeat her?" Cyrus suggested before sipping tea.

"That's gayshit. Why do we need someone else? Wouldn't it just cause a bigger mess?" Jared spoke nervously.

"No! We will do whatever it takes to defeat Demon," Ice replied, making Jared even more stunned. "We will use those people to defeat Demon."

"But that's what Demon is doing. If we do that, we are no different from her," Jared said, anxious and sweating profusely.

"Like I said, I'm ready to do whatever it takes to defeat Demon," Ice repeated.

Jared slowly shook his head and leaned against the wall. He looked to his side and saw Sky, who was quietly listening—or rather, not listening, as he had earphones plugged into his ears.

Sky didn't want to get involved in the conversation about Demon because he wasn't sure if his suspicions were true.

Suspicion of Demon's true identity.

**NEXT DAY, ON THE UNIVERSITY FIELD**

"GOAL!!!!"

"Nice one, Takashi!"

"You're really awesome, Takashi!"

"I LOVE YOU, TAKASHI!"

"GO! GO! TAKASHI!"

"TAKASHI!"

"TAKASHIIIIIIIIII!"

"Tsk, what the hell are we doing here?" Ice said irritably.

Today was Tuesday, and the Caribbean soccer team was having a match against another school.

"Mr. Fonacier said we need to support the soccer team," Megumi explained.

The entire elite class was on the field watching the match as Mr. Fonacier had requested.

"Our exams are coming up. Shouldn't we be studying instead of watching this stupid match?" Cyrus complained, clearly annoyed that the spotlight was on Conan Takashi from Section B.

"Conan Takashi is known as a fun student, easy to approach, and he has the highest scores in all subjects. That's why the elders love including him in the elite class. He excels in everything, which is why some of the elites resent him," Zeke remarked.

"There are 11 players in the game, why do I only hear Takashi's name?" Ice grumbled.

"That's because he's so great," a voice responded. Everyone turned to see Hyra in her P.E. uniform sitting on the ground.

"What are you doing there? It's dirty," someone said.

"No, don't come near me, I'm already dirty," Hyra retorted.

"It's okay, as long as it's you," Ice said, concerned.

"I said don't come near me," Hyra snapped, sending a chill through the group. Ice looked worriedly after her as she walked away.

"Some of us have never really liked her," Umber commented, watching Hyra go. "Where is Claire? She should always be by your side so that girl can't get close to you."

"Pfft—" Ice chuckled. "That's just like the Hyra I first met." Despite covering his mouth, his wide grin was evident.

---

"CARIBBEAN SOCCER TEAM WINS!"

"That was an easy win," Conan said as he passed by Ice.

"Don't get too full of yourself. Anyone can play soccer," Ice replied coldly.

"Oh, the entire Elite Class is here. Are you here to cheer me on? It's so heartwarming," Conan said cheerfully.

Ice and the other elites frowned at Conan's behavior. There was clearly tension between them.

"Show some respect when you talk to us," Cyrus said firmly.

"What? Why, who are you? The God?" Conan replied sarcastically, standing between Ice and Cyrus. "You're just a piece of shit in my eyes."

"YOUUUUU!" Ice grabbed Conan by the collar and lifted him up, veins bulging with irritation. No one moved to stop them. This showdown between the two most admired men in the Caribbean was too captivating to interrupt.

"You better watch your fucking mouth," Ice threatened, his grip tightening.

Conan smirked and shook Ice's hand off his collar.

"Enjoy it while you can, because your days are numbered," Conan taunted.

Ice tensed, ready to punch Conan, but Stanley intervened swiftly.

"You two are drawing way too much attention. If the elders find out, we're all in trouble," Stanley warned calmly, glancing at Conan, who smiled back at him.

"You could learn a thing or two about staying calm from the lower ranks," Conan grinned mischievously, leaving the Elite Students stunned as he walked away.

After Conan was out of earshot, Stanley took a deep breath, leaning against the wall. His hands were still trembling slightly, despite his outward calm demeanor. He knew the consequences if Ice and Conan clashed any further.

"I'll make sure to wipe that smirk off his face next time," Ice muttered, storming off with the others.

---

"WHAAAAAT? THEY DIDN'T KILL EACH OTHER?" Demon stomped her feet in frustration.

"There's no reason for them to kill each other," Zeus answered calmly, looking down from the rooftop where they could see the entire campus.

"Am I not enough reason for them to fight? They're both in love with me. To win my favor, they should be willing to fight each other to the death," Hyra exclaimed.

Zeus winced at her words. "You should come down. They might be looking for you."

"No, I'm going to stay here a little longer. I like this place. It makes everyone look like ants to me," Hyra replied defiantly.

Just then, unexpectedly, the door opened and someone entered.

"Hyra? Mr. Fonacier? What are you doing here?" Sky asked in surprise.

"Sky?"
