MTM#XIII: SHE'S HERE II
THIRD PERON's POV
"Chechechewing gum, chechechewing gum," the girl sang over and over as she walked down the dark alley, holding an umbrella. The rain poured heavily, masking the sounds of the city around her.
"Hey, pretty girl, can I have your number?" a voice called out.
The girl stopped and looked back, disgusted by the sight of five men following her.
"Miss, don't look at us like that. We're not bad people, you know," said one of the men, stepping forward. The girl stepped back.
"Are you planning to harass me?" she asked.
"Of course not. We just want to play, right, guys?" The four men nodded in unison.
"I don't have time for you," she replied, turning around, but one of the men continued to follow her. She stopped and, without hesitation, kicked him backward. The man flew three meters away from where he had stood. The remaining four men gasped and glared at her.
"Attack her at the same time; it's just a girl," commanded their leader.
The girl with the umbrella yawned. "That's good. Attack all at once so this can end quickly." A sly smile spread across her lips.
"AHHHHH!" The first to attack was a bald man with a large build. He could easily shake a normal person, but this girl was anything but normal.
"If you beg, I'll give you another chance," he said, smiling at the girl with the umbrella.
"But Demon doesn't beg." With that, she quickly stabbed the end of her umbrella into the bald man's throat. Another man tried to stab her, but she saw it coming. She grabbed his eye and pulled it out.
"ARGGGGHHHHHHHH!" the man screamed as blood poured from his face.
The other men stood in shock, hesitating before charging at her together. Demon swiftly sidestepped their attacks, her movements fluid and precise. She disarmed one of the men, snapping his wrist with a quick twist before driving her umbrella into his chest. The man gasped, falling to the ground.
One of the remaining men attempted to grab her from behind, but Demon ducked, pulling out a hidden blade from her boot and slashing his Achilles tendon. The man collapsed, clutching his leg in agony. The last man, seeing the brutality unfold, turned to run, but Demon was faster. She threw her blade, hitting him square in the back of the knee, causing him to fall to the ground, writhing in pain.
With all five men incapacitated, Demon stood amidst the chaos, her umbrella dripping with blood. She looked around, a satisfied smirk on her face.
"That's brutal," said a man emerging from the darkness. He held a handkerchief and used it to wipe the blood from Demon's face. Despite the heavy rain, they ignored it.
"The sound of them begging is music to my ears," Demon said cheerfully.
"And for that, I'll give you a reward." The man pulled Demon closer and kissed her in the middle of the downpour.
JARVIS's POV
"Guys, have you heard the news?" I put down the magazine I was reading to look at Joshua, who had just arrived. He was sweating and panting, clearly having run from the entrance of the university.
"Which news channel? 24 Oras or TV Patrol?" Jared asked innocently.
"Looks like Demon wants everyone to know she's really here," Nathan commented, sipping his tea.
"The people Demon killed are some of the most wanted in the country. They've been evading the law for years," Carl added.
SKY's POV
They were talking about the murder that had taken place not far from the university. The recent events were spiraling out of control, and if this continued, it would affect me significantly.
"Fix yourselves, break's over. Let's get back to class," Nathan said, straightening his tie. To this day, I still hadn't confronted Nathan about his sister Hyra.
"Nathan, you just got here a while ago. Have you met Hyra yet?" Jared teased me.
"NO" Nathan replied. "Let's go!"
I grabbed my bag and followed them. As we walked, we were suddenly attacked by women.
"KYAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
They screamed and pushed each other, trying to take pictures of us. Don’t they know that what they're doing violates university rules? They can't get within a meter of the elite or take our pictures.
"STAY AWAY FROM OUR WAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE PUNISHED," Nathan threatened, but it seemed to be ignored.
AIRAM 's POV
"KYAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!"
I peeked out the window when I heard the shrill screams and rolled my eyes at the sight of the elite boys surrounded by women. Aren't those women afraid of what might happen to them? They could be expelled from the university for this.
"I don't have a good feeling about this," Krystal whispered, standing up and forming her fingers into a gun. "BANG!" she whispered.
"AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
I stood up, shocked by the scene below. A woman lay on the ground with an arrow pointed at her head. I looked at Krystal, but she just shrugged and returned to her seat, indifferent.
"Krystal, you killed her," said Abby, her eyes filling with tears. We all saw what she did.
"Nonsense. Do you really think she did that?" Megumi said rudely, crossing her arms and legs.
I sighed and sat back down. There was nothing we could do.
I'm sure Zeke will be busy again, and I'll lose time with him because of the weird things happening at this university.
SKY's POV
"FUCK!"
I pulled my hair in frustration. A series of bad things were happening at the university. If the elders found out, I could lose my position.
I checked the surroundings again. Based on the arrow that hit her forehead, it came from the north part of the university, from the engineering building 200 meters away. How did she do that? It's a bullseye.
The culprit was a girl, according to the CCTV footage Carl examined.
Is that Demon? I can't think of anyone else who could do that. She's good at long range.
"Sky, here!" Stanley handed me a few papers.
"What is this?" I asked, looking at the contents.
"That's the identity of the woman who died. She has no record here, which means she's not a student. She's a spy from the Admiral Mafia."
"In that case, she also did the earlier attack?"
Stanley nodded. "Yes, she planned to gather us in one place and blow us up. She's not just the Admiral's spy; she's also a suicide bomber."
"You look pale. You need to rest," Stanley said, tapping my shoulder. "Go rest. I'll take care of it and report back to you later."
"You sure?"
"Easy peasy."
I laughed at his attempt to wink. I said goodbye and went straight to my office. I put a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and settled in to work.
---
A few hours passed.
"Tok! Tok!"
Can’t they read the sign on the door?
"Tok! Tok!"
I still didn't move, but soon the door opened, and Hyra entered with food.
I looked at my watch and was surprised to see that lunch was over. How long had I been here?
"My guess was right that you'd be here working," she said, tossing the papers on my desk and setting out the food she brought. Enough for ten people.
"Let's eat!" She smiled broadly. "We didn't finish our meal the other day because of the explosion, so let's continue now. I lined up too long just to buy this."
She was talkative, but I wasn't annoyed. I was happy.
All the weight I felt before disappeared when she arrived.
"What are you staring at? Eat before it gets cold. I know I'm beautiful, but don’t stare at me like that."
"HAHAHAH"
I laughed and messed up her hair.
"Woah! You laughed." She pointed at me, covering her mouth with one hand. Her reaction was exaggerated.
"Yeah, thanks to you," I smiled.
I was surprised when she suddenly stood up, sat on my lap, and kissed me.
Her lips were addictive, and I moved her waist closer to me, deepening the kiss.
"More, I want more," she said between kisses, starting to unbutton my uniform.
This is bad. Nathan will kill me.
"We can't do this."
"But whyyyyyy?" She pouted.
"I like you, so I won't do this until you like me back."
–
When Hyra left I immediately returned to the work I had left behind.
Demon's attacks were not just random acts of violence—they were targeted strikes aimed at destabilizing everything we had worked so hard to build. Each incident sent shockwaves through the campus community, leaving behind a trail of fear and uncertainty.
I paced the room, running scenarios through my mind. How had Demon managed to evade our security measures? Was there a leak within our ranks, or was she simply that skilled at staying one step ahead?
Nathan and the security team were working tirelessly to track her down, but every lead seemed to slip through our fingers. Each attack left us with more questions than answers, and I could feel the weight of expectation bearing down on me.
Outside my office, students hurried past, their faces tense with worry. Some whispered about the latest developments, while others sought solace in the familiarity of their routines. I envied their ability to carry on as if life hadn't been turned upside down.
Hyra's presence was a comfort amidst the turmoil. She remained steadfast by my side, offering support and practical solutions. Her determination to help bolster our defenses gave me a glimmer of hope, but deep down, I knew that defeating Demon would require more than just increased security measures.
The attacks had taken a toll on morale. Trust among students and faculty was fraying, and rumors swirled unchecked through the halls. As heir, it was my duty to restore that trust, to reassure everyone that we were doing everything in our power to keep them safe.
But with each passing day, my frustration grew. I was trapped in a constant cycle of reacting to Demon's moves, always on the defensive. I longed for the opportunity to turn the tables, to outmaneuver her and bring an end to the terror she had unleashed.
Yet, for now, all I could do was wait. Wait for the next attack, the next challenge to our resolve. And hope that our efforts would eventually lead us to Demon, before she struck again with devastating consequences.
ICE's POV
I was on my way to Sky's office but stopped when I saw Hyra coming out. She had a wide smile and waved at Sky.
What’s going on between those two?
"What is your relationship with Sky?" I asked, surprising myself.
"We're friends," she answered quickly.
"Have you kissed yet?" What's wrong with me? Why am I asking these questions?
"Of course, and not just him. I've kissed Brizon, Jarvis, and even Stanley," she said proudly.
"Are you like that with all men?"
"Only the handsome ones," she replied innocently. "I have important things to do. Bye."
Does she have a split personality? One day she's kind, the next she’s a stranger.
Wait... Why am I thinking about this?
THIRD PERSON's POV
"Where's that wicked woman?" Cris could see the veins bulging on Conan's face. He was annoyed that Hyra was still not there, three hours late.
"I'll look for her," Cris suggested.
"No need, she's already here," Conan replied.
Cris looked out the window and saw Hyra approaching them. Conan got out of the car and met her.
Suddenly, "SWOOOOOSH!" Conan lifted Hyra and jumped to the right, narrowly avoiding an arrow that almost hit her.
They were saved by Conan’s superb reflexes.
"What's that?" Hyra asked, still in Conan's arms.
"We are being attacked," Conan replied. He looked at Cris, who immediately understood and took out his laptop, checking the blueprints of the university. He quickly calculated the trajectory and speed of the arrow.
"SWOOOOOSH!" Another arrow flew towards them, but Conan caught it mid-air, his palm bleeding from the force.
"Conan's hand is bleeding. The culprit must be nearby to throw with such force," Cris muttered to himself. "This attack isn't like the previous one from 200 meters. Only one person can do that, and it’s not this attacker." Cris smiled, solving the puzzle. "CONAN!" he yelled. "THE CULPRIT IS WITHIN 80 METERS!"
"He can't escape," Conan said, placing Hyra in the car and sprinting towards a building 80 meters away.
Thanks to his athletic build, Conan reached the building quickly. He began opening doors one by one until he found the room.
"You made it hard for me to find you," Conan smirked at the woman with her back turned. "Fake Demon."
The woman laughed and turned to face him.
"We haven't seen each other in a long time, Your Majesty," she said, kneeling before him.
