~Kazumi POV~

I walked down the hall silent as ever. I silently snorted. As if I had a choice. School just ended and I was dreading going back to my silent apartment.

"Kazie! Wait!" A voice yelled out. My shoulders stiffened. Few people called me that. And one of them is...

"Hiro." I muttered before breaking into a run. I don't care if it's cowardly. I was scared to see him and the others. The only reason they were taken was because of me.

Tears blurred my vision but I fought them.

I was no longer the cheerful girl who sang and danced at every opportunity or who talked nonstop about insignificant things.

I was silent and depressed girl who barely clung to her sanity. Who had scars marring her skin. Who had to a therapist every week in order to fight off suicidal thoughts.

After all who would stay with me besides my oldest friends? I'm just a basket case.

A hand gripped my arm forcing me to stop. I refused to look at him, fear of rejection clenching my heart.

"Stop running will you? We both know in the end I'm going to catch you." his words brought a blush to my cheeks but I still struggled. "Just stop." he said wrapping his arms around me. Slowly my struggles reduced.

"Just let me hold you like this."
