Tami OC
This is Tami, my OC. She is the first child of Asgore and Toriel, Asriel's older sister. She was born when monsters still lived on the surface. She was part of an elite group of monsters ( Which forms into the Royal Guard when monsters are forced underground) chosen to protect the royal family, even though she was part of it. She wouldn't give up until her father let her in. Tami rose to become its leader, and the most feared monster warrior, even above her father.
Her staff allows her to use blue magic. It was crafted by the Royal Scientist for safety reasons. Tami had so much magical energy, it was literally seeping out her body. The staff stores some of it, transforming it from fire magic to blue magic. Her armor inspired Undyne's undying form.
I have a little story about her.
Tami was always skilled at magic. Once, when she was a child, she accidentally set her father's cape on fire. He praised her and began to train her in fire magic.
Tami always was scared, though. Scared of herself. She was so worried that she would hurt somebody, for no matter how much she trained, she could not control her magic.
But one day, someone approached her. He said that he could help her. She accepted, and he vanished for a few weeks, returning only now and then to look at her soul. She was confused, how could he help her without seeing her?
One day, he presented her with a stick that had a blue bulb on top. She glanced at him, wondering if he should get medical care. He explained it eagerly.
"Īt wiłl stóre yoür màgić änd łet yoū úse błue magįc frøm ìt!"
The following days she trained with it, enjoying the blue magic. She felt so much lighter as well, and things no longer randomly caught fire around her.
Many years later, Asgore ran up to her.
"The humans are attacking. They're trying to drive us into the mountain. We have to fight."
She bolted outside and was shocked by the scene. There was already a thin layer of dust covering anything. Tami glanced frantically around for her mother, and sighed in relief when she saw her defending the birth house.
She growled'"These humans have no honor!"
She charged into battle, sending the nearest humans flying away with her staff. She shot fire balls into the fray, drawing more magic from the staff. We have to draw them out. They had the advantage of surprise, but if we get them away from each other, we will win.
She signaled to Higgs, a snake-like monster who was her second in command.
"Separate them! Break up the group!"
He dove into the crowd and began spinning, activating his special attack. Tami held her staff in front of her face for protection. There was a blast from the center of the group, which quickly thinned.
With the humans spread out, she could clearly see how outnumbered the monsters were. It was hopeless. But Tami was determined. She would fight for her people and fight until her final breath.
So she fought. The battle was a haze of adrenaline and an occasional flash of pain. Suddenly, she found herself backed up against the mountain by six humans. She waved her staff, but their souls only blinked blue. She only had her special attack left. Tami panted, trying to bring up a wall of fire. She collapsed, exhausted.
She didn't want to use her special attack. She was always told that it was too dangerous, that it would release too much magic. No one knew what would happen. Tami had an idea of what would happen. Especially in her weakened state. She knew it would break her parents heart, but she had no choice.
She held up her staff and the humans paused, unsure of what she was doing. And before she could think twice, she swung with all her might the staff against the ground.
It shattered on impact. She screamed as the energy, kept from her for so long, flowed back into her. She felt a scorching heat radiating off her body. The humans ran, hair and skin burnt. She stumbled up, holding the remains of her staff, and headed to the larger part of the battle.
She could feel her body splitting apart under the stress of the magic. But she couldn't give up. With her last attack she would SAVE her people. She felt a strange sensation, telling her farther, just a little farther.
She fell, unable to go on. The grass beneath her was blazing, but she felt nothing. With one final battle cry she released all her magic into the world. She smiled sadly, though most monsters weren't that skilled at magic, they could not live without it. With one final breath, she realized that she was no longer scared.
The king roared, feeling the death of a nobel monster, the most skilled in battle, his daughter. He shouted, heart heavy with grief,"Retreat! Into the mountain!"
He knew that's what the humans wanted, to trap them there to kill them easily. But there was no point. Nothing to fight for. He was giving up.
---
A human warrior stared at the pile of dust with a broken stick on top of it. He sighed, having mixed feelings about the battle.
"They were only protecting their home."he murmured.
Femme, the leader, looked at him,"What was that O'Ryan?"
He looked up angrily,"They were only protecting their home! Why did we need to attack in the first place? They weren't doing any thing!"
"They were in the way. Humans and monsters don't mix. Now, we must end this now and forever."
O'Ryan stayed, watching the blue magic form a shield around the pile of dust. A barrier. He picked up the stick, feeling the magic still left inside of it. There wasn't much, but with, say, six other magicians, it could be magnified.
"No. We will trap them there."
"Are you crazy? Do you not see what the monsters did? Look at the dead!"
"It's nothing compared to what we did to them. They've been through enough. Let them survive. We can create a wall, the Barrier.
"Don't expect help from me!"
He gathered his fellow magicians and told them his plan. They agreed, not eager to kill more innocents. With the remaining magic from the staff, he formed the basis of the Barrier. Together, the seven humans sealed the monsters underground.
In a way, Tami did save her people. It was her staff, her lingering magic that sealed them underneath the mountain. She saved them from death, though they were trapped.
The whole kingdom grieved for the lost Princess, each in their own way. Queen Toriel focused on cooking, on feeding the underground, it wasn't that hard, the population had been reduced to less than half. King Asgore trained, both himself and others, vowing that monsters would never again have this happen to them.
Eventually, life returned to normal. Joy ran through the kingdom when Prince Asriel was born.
And when the first human fell, the underground was alive with hope.
Hope you enjoyed my OC's death! Expect more of her.
