TAE'S POV

I opened the piggy bank I have in my room. I became bothered when I noticed that it became lighter. It's not as heavy as it is last month. Maybe when I started courting Sana, it became lighter.

And then I found some paper moneys and some coins inside. This is not what I expect of. I expect that it will have lots of money.

Maybe I can't pay for the dormitory fee for this month.

Someone knocked on the door so I immediately hid it and opened the door. It's Sana.

"Good morning," she greeted and entered my room while holding a tray of breakfast.

"What is that for?" I asked her. I walked beside her and fixed my bed. "It's early."

"I figured out that you're not having breakfast yet, so I made one for you." She chuckled. This squirrel.

"What's that?"

"My best dish."

"Spring rolls?" She nodded. I pinched her cheeks because she's so damn cute. "Kyeopta."

"Ya! Don't pinch my cheeks! These are precious!" She held my hands and stopped me from pinching her cheeks.

"More precious than me?"

"Of course!" She said and threw my hands. "Just eat, Tae. Good morning." She said and placed the tray beside the side table.

"Why are you walking away?" I asked her because she's beside the doorway already.

"Calm down, Tae. I'm not leaving you. I'll just get your milk." She said and smiled. And then she walked downstairs.

While Sana is getting my milk, my phone rang. My sister is calling!

"Noona!" I greeted my sister. "I missed you so much! Why did you call?"

"T-Taehyung..." my eyebrows crossed when I heard her voice. It's like she's struggling because of pain. "...c-can I s-stay with y-you?"

"Why, noona?" I asked her. I'm sensing a bad thing.

"P-Please, T-Tae, just give m-me the address first. I-I wanna get out of this h-hell." She pleaded, so I gave her the address immediately. She thanked me and I told her that I will fetch her but she refused.

"But, noona--"

"P-Please, Tae. I-I'll be fine. Expect me tonight." And she ended the call.
"Tae," Sana entered my room. "Here." She handed me the glass of milk.

"What took you so long?" I asked her and placed it aside.

"I saw you talking to someone. I gave you privacy." She smiled. "I'll go now. I have to do something."

"Okay. Thanks."

"No problem," she said and exited the door. And I started eating.

"Chim," I called Jimin.

"Tae! Why did you call?" He asked.

"Do you know any job openings?" I asked him and the other line became silent. "I know it's surprising, but please help me."

"Why? I mean, why are you looking for a job?" He asked me.

"I'm getting broke." I frankly said. I heard him sigh, "Help me with this, Chim."

"Why are you broke? You have your piggy bank, right?" He continued asking.

"Yeah but the money is not enough. I have to pay for the dormitory fee by the end of this month, Chim."

"How did you lose all of your earnings, Tae?" He's concerned for sure. "Is it because of Sana?"

"Possibly." I nodded.

"Tsk, bro! You're just courting Sana, right? Don't spend your money for nonsense things!" He said, I became silent. It's true. I almost spend everyday for her. "You're just courting Sana, but then you're getting broke already. What more if you two became a couple? Remember, Tae, your grandparents are farmers. You grew up with them, and you know how hard it is to become a farmer. You have nothing back then, except for your family Do you wanna go back?"

"No, Chim. But I will not forget where I came from." I sighed. "So, are you going to help me?"

"I know a coffee shop." He answered. "Let's meet at 10 AM."

"Okay." And then I ended the line.

"Please wait here." The waiter said. Jimin and I sat down on a couch. Jimin led me to a coffee shop as soon as we met.

"Why did you bring me here, Chim? I have no budget for this." I told him.

He smirked, "Calm down, Tae. We're not eating lunch here. We're waiting for my eonnie's friend."

"Who?"

"You'll see." He said. After some time, a man so tall came to our table.

"Mr. Park!" The man said and Jimin stood up next to him. They hugged. Jimin looked like a dwarf.

"Mr. Choi," Chim said. "This is my friend, Kim Taehyung." I stood up and shook hands with Mr. Choi.

"I thought he said Kim Taeyeon." He laughed. "She's my colleague."

"I've heard of her, sir." I smiled.

"Please, let's sit down." I sat down beside Jimin and Mr. Choi sat down infront of us.

"So, what business did you bring here, Jimin?" Mr. Choi asked us.

"Mr. Siwon," Jimin said and held my shoulder. "My friend here needs a job."

"Oh? Really?" I nodded. "Great. I just fired the laziest employee we've had here last night."

"W-What?" I stuttered. Did I hear it right? He fired someone?

"Yeah." He nodded. "I don't acknowledge lazy employees inside my coffee shop. If you're not lazy, maybe you'll last."

"I-I'll be the best employee here, Mr. Choi Siwon." I assured him.

He smiled, "Gladly." He stood up. "Come here tomorrow morning."

"Yes, sir." I stood up and shook hands with him. "I will not fail you."

"You better not." He chuckled. He handed me a paper and I took it. "Bring these requirements tomorrow. Okay?"

"Yes, sir." I nodded and smiled.

"I better go now. My wife is coming," he said and walked out.

Jimin stood up and smiled, "You're welcome, dude."

"Thank you!" I hugged him and we went home.

Taehyung-ah! Come home! Someone is here!

6:58 PM

I saw Sana's text. I walked faster towards the building. I brought dinner for us.

I didn't expect noona to be this early.

I pressed the doorbell and the caretaker opened it for me.

"Taehyung! You have a visitor inside." She said.

"Yes, ahjumma. She's my sister." I smiled and entered the building. I'm expecting to see her in the living room with her bags, but I didn't found her there.

I walked upstairs towards my room. I will find her there. But as soon as I was about to open my room, I heard her voice.

"T-Thank you..." I heard her said. I don't know where did that came from. I don't even know if it was true or if I was just hallucinating. "Taehyung?" I heard her said once more. She called me. But where is she?

"Noona?" I whispered. The heck! Where is she?

"Taehyung-ah!" And then I heard Sana's voice. And then I felt someone shaking me. I turned to face that guy and it turns out that it was Sana. And I can't believe that she's with my sister right now.

"Noona!" I hugged my sister. I missed her so much. "How are you, Noona?" I escaped from our hug and faced her. But I was bothered to see bruises and wounds on her face. She barely has a blackened eye. I held her face and looked at each and every wound and bruiser there is, "What happened, Noona?" She didn't answer, but I saw her cry. Which made my heart melt. I can't stand seeing my sister crying.

"Tae, get her inside of your room first." Sana said and helped me with my sister. I made her sit on the bed.

"W-Wait, I'll get first aid kit--"

"I already gave her first aid," Sana cut me. I faced her and thanked her. "It's nothing," she smiled. "All you have to do now is comfort your sister. It seems like I have to go."

I hugged her, "Thanks a lot, Sana."

"Yeah, comfort her, now." She escaped from our hug.

"I love you." I whispered. She just smiled and exited the door.

I squatted to level my sister who is sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Noona," I called her. I tucked her hair behind her ear. "Tell me what happened, noona."

"A-Appa," she began crying. "H-He's drunk again, Tae. Whenever he comes home from farming, he's always drunk. And then h-he'll start beating me up. He's b-blaming me because of mom's d-death." My mind went blank. Appa is beating up noona. What the heck? "P-Please let me stay here for a w-while, Tae."

"You'll stay here forever, noona. You will not go back there." I promised her. "I love you, noona." I hugged her and kissed her temple.

"I-I'll clean myself up." She stood up. "Thank you, Tae." I opened her bag and looked for her bathrobe. When I found it, I gave it to her and she's off showering.

I exited my room first and knocked at Sana's door. I opened it and I saw her reading a book on her bed.

"Good evening," I smiled and placed the paperbag on the side. It was the dinner I brought.

"Is she alright now?" I can see her concern for my sister.

"Yeah," I nodded. I opened the paperbag and gave her ramyun. "Dinner?"

"Invite your sister, Tae." She said and closed the book. She stood up and walked towards me.

"She's taking a bath." I told her. "Will we wait for her?"

"Of course." She said.

"Wait here." I said and went to my room. As soon as I entered my room, my sister is done bathing. She already have her pajamas on.

"Noona," I called her. She looked at me and half-smiled. "Let's eat dinner at Sana's." She nodded and we went to Sana's room.

We sat down and started eating.
