TAE'S POV

FLASHBACK

"CONGRATULATIONS!" We all hugged and greeted each other. We're all graduates of senior high right now. They could all go to college and pursue their dreams. Well, except for me. Mr. Choi died and I almost didn't graduate. He was the one that paid for my tuition fee and other miscellaneous fees. His family migrated to the States.

I'm not going to go to college since my savings aren't enough. I'll just start working for me and my sister.

"Let's congratulate these three," Nayeon pointed Namjoon, Yoongi and Mina. Namjoon chuckled while Yoongi didn't give us any reaction. Mina blushed and covered her face with her hands. "The geniuses of our class."

"Congratulations, you guys." Jihyo greeted them. "Treat us!"

"Yeah! Treat us!" Jimin agreed. "Especially you, Mina! You're rich!"

"What the heck, Jimin?" Mina chuckled. "I have no money."

"No money? Really?" I wriggled both of my eyebrows up and down. Mina sighed in frustration. "I'm just kidding, you hot-headed penguin."

"You're pissing me off." Mina said. I laughed.

"That might turn into a fight if you don't stop teasing each other." Jin pointed me and Mina.

"I'm pretty sure that Jin will be a guidance counselor." Kookie joked. We all laughed at his statement. "What course do you guys want to take?"

"Business management?" Jin answered, unsure. "I don't know. I want to manage a restaurant someday."

"That's good!" Momo clapped her hands. This shikshin. "Whenever we come to your restaurant, you'll give us 100% discount!"

"No way, pabo." Jin laughed and Momo rolled her eyes. "I'll be bankrupted."

"Picture!" Mina's mom came in with a digital camera on her hands. We lined up and took a picture together. "Congratulations, guys!"

"Thank you, Mrs. Myoui." We thanked her.

"KYAAAAA! Taehyung oppa!" I turned my head to see who yelled my name. And there is this bunch of girls that crowded me immediately.

"Picture!"

"Taehyung oppa!"

"Kyaaaa!"

They all screamed. I signalled Namjoon and the others to help me. Since they are also handsome, I asked my fangirls to take pictures with the others instead. I got out of the crowd and watched my friends get crowded by my fangirls.

"Wow, it's a school holiday today, but your fangirls went here to take pictures with you," Dahyun said and we chuckled. "How handsome."

"Thank you," I smirked.

"Not you! Jimin!" He pointed at Chim that is taking a selca with the girls.

I frowned. "I hate you."

"Hate me, too." I rolled my eyes at Dahyun. How sarcastic is she?

"Tae! I have something to say," Mina made a gesture that probably says that she wants me to go to her.

"What is it?" I asked her and walked towards her.

She tiptoed to reach my ear and whispered, "After our celebration."

"What do you mean?"

"Our flight to Japan. Just like what I promised to you." I looked at her surprisingly. Nervousness climbed up to my heart.

"I'm out of words." I said. She giggled. "Are you sure, Mina?"

"Don't you trust me? After our dinner, we'll go straight ahead to the airport. Japan is waiting for us." She said. "Are you nervous?"

"The heck, yes." I nodded. "What if I'll see Sana?"

"Of course, you'lll see her. We'll go to their school tomorrow, silly." She smiled, her signature gummy smile. "Where's your unnie?"

"She's on her way--"

"Taehyung!" Speaking of my sister. She walked towards us and gave me and Mina a hug. "Are you guys waiting for me?"

"Yeah, what took you so long?" I asked her. She gave me a teasing smile and a stupid face.

"The line for the cashier is so long. My legs hurted!" She cried.

"Why would you line up for?"

"I bought this. My graduation gift for you," she showed me a blue box. My eyebrows crossed. I took it from her. "Open it!"

I took the lid off and gave her an expressionless face when I saw nothing inside the box. "Are you joking me, noona?" Mina was also surprised when she saw nothing inside.

"Take the foam off, alien." Alien. That was Sana's nickname for me before.

I took the foam off and then got shocked when I saw a key inside. "What's this?" It's a stupid question that made her roll her eyes.

"It's a motorbike key, pabo!" She smiled. I faced her, still shocked of her gift. "Are you happy?"

"I am extremely happy." I smiled sincerely. I hugged her. "Thank you, noona."

"Anything for my dongsaeng," she giggled and escaped from the hug. "When will be your flight?"

"Mina said it will be after the celebration." I answered her.

"Yeah, and we have to hurry." Mina said. "You can come with the dinner, if you want, unnie."

"Is it alright for you?" Noona asked and Mina answered her with a nod. "Alright, let's go, then!"

"We will just bid our goodbyes to our friends." I told her.

"Okay, but make it fast!" She yelled as she walk away from me. I went to my friends bid them good bye. They will see me after 3 days. Well, I'm staying in Japan for 3 days. And I will make the best of those days.

I'm coming, Sana.

"Wake up," I heard Mina said. I opened my eyes and yawned. "We're here." I sat properly and looked outside the window.

We're in Japan!

"I can't believe it! We're  really here!" I said in excitement. Mina laughed at me.

"Relax, Tae. I have something to show to you," she fished her phone and showed me something. "This is BYP-Japan's site. The headline says that tomorrow is the senior high's graduation day."

"What time?" I asked her.

"8 in the morning," she answered. "You still 7 have hours to prepare for tomorrow." She chuckled. It only took us an hour to get here, but I fell asleep.

"I can't wait to see her," I told her. "I can't wait to see Sana."

"So do I." She smiled. "I'll come with you tomorrow."

The plane took off and the passengers were told to get off. I followed Mina and her parents' lead.

I woke up at 6 AM in the morning to prepare myself. I am very much excited for this day!

I went downstairs and looked for ingredients. I want to cook breakfast for the Myoui family. This is just my payment for them since they treated me more than what I deserved. Especially Mina. She's really my friend.

I was preparing the table when I saw Mr. Myoui came donwstairs.

"Good morning, sir." I greeted him. His smile got wider.

"You prepared all of these?" He asked and I nodded. "Wow, you shouldn't have."

"It's alright, sir. I just want to repay you." I told him. "For being kind and all."

"I bet these are great," he said. "I'll call the two."

"Take your time, sir." He walked upstairs and after minutes, he came down with his wife and daughter.

"Good morning," I greeted them. "Please, have a seat." We sat and started eating.

"Wow, these are great!" Mrs. Myoui exclaimed. "How did you learn to cook?"

"Self-learn, ma'am. I have to learn by myself, since I'm living with myself." I told her.

"What time will you go?" Dr. Myoui asked.

"7:30 AM?" Mina answered. "We'll be there before 8 AM. Tae wants to see Sana."

"I hope it will go well." Mrs. Myoui said.

"I'll bring you kids there." Mr. Myohi said. "I have to go to the hospital."

"Then you guys must hurry. It's already 6:50 AM."

We got off Dr. Myoui's car and thanked him after. It only took us less than an hour to get to Osaka. We came from Kobe because that's where Mina lives. Me and Mina entered the campus.

Nervousness is eating my heart. I am shaking and started to doubt.

"Maybe we should back out," I told Mina. She looked at me weirdly. It's like she's telling me that I'm saying a very stupid decision. "I-I am not very sure about this."

"C'mon, Tae. Don't be such a coward at this time." She said. We tried discovering the place. There are many people already. There are students all over the campus. And each and every one of them is looking at us.

"Do you see her?" I asked Mina.

"No, not yet." She answered. I turned my head around to look for Sana. I still can't find her.

"Maybe they're still not here." Mina told me. "Are we going to stay here for a day?"

"I'll talk to Sana." I replied. "Therefore, we'll stay here. Is it alright for you?"

"Yeah," she nodded. "Are you still taking your meds?"

"Sometimes," I answered. "It's because I'm not depressed anymore. I don't want to overdose myself with it."

"That's good."

"All senior high students, please line up in the middle. The ceremony will start in 2 minutes." We all turned our heads to the teacher. She's holding a microphone.

And just what like she said, the senior high students lined up in the middle together with their parents. I looked for Sana again in the crowd.

"Find a squirrel-looking girl." I told Mina.

"Do you think I'm a pabo? Of course I know what Sana looks like!" She hit me in my arm and I just laughed at her. Teasing Myoui Mina is fun.

We heard the chant of the graduation song. The students started walking.

"There's Sana!" Mina whispered, pointing someone. I followed her index finger. I saw a girl with brown hair. I knew it was Sana.

She is the only one that has that back profile.

Me and Mina sat aside and listened to the graduation ceremony. I never looked away from Sana. Seeing her, even if her back profile is the only one I'm seeing, makes me so happy. My heart is jumping.

But still, even though I want to talk to her, I don't know what should I say. Should I just greet her with a simple "hello" or "hi"? Should I surprise her with something more?

Stupid, Tae. Of course, she'll be surprised even if you just say "hello". I thought.

I rubbed my face against my hands in frustration. I breathed deep and thought of something more.

"Hey, they are done!" I heard Mina whisper. I didn't notice that the ceremony is already done. I stood up and looked for Sana in the crowd. I saw her with her parents, taking a picture.

"C'mon, Mina," I held Mina's wrist and dragged her towards Sana's direction.

I stopped when I saw something.

Sana is with a man. She kissed his cheeks and hugged him afterwards. The man left her, waving his hand.

My world stopped. My butterflies died. My humming went out of tune. My heart broke.

"Tae?" I heard Mina say. But I didn't bother to look at her. I stared at Sana.

She's already happy. Even when I am gone.

"Let's go, Tae." Mina grabbed my wrist and dragged me away from Sana.

Although we already reached their house, I still can't explain what I'm feeling.

Should I be mad? Should I be lonely? Should I be happy now that there is someone who could be with her? Should I be happy now that she's happy?

I locked myself in a room, thinking about what I saw. It keeps on coming back into my head. I can't stop it.

I cried an ocean for that night.

The next day, I went out of the Myoui's residence. I went to a convenience store. I ate my breakfast there.

But little did I know, there's Sana and the man--again. They are having breakfast. I hid; I don't want to be seen by her.

I covered my head with my jacket's hood and lowered my head down.

"Wait here, Ryu." I heard her say. I stood up and went to the trash can to take out my trash. I walked by the hallway and she bumped into me. My heart raced.

"Oh, I'm sorry," She said. Sorry for what, Sana? Sorry that you didn't say you have someone better than me? Sorry that you're hurting me? Sorry that you left me? "Excuse me, sir. You're blocking the fridge's door." I stepped back and used the other way around to the store's door.

I looked back and she continued on eating with that Ryu.

Mina was very anxious when I left. She was very nervous when she didn't see me inside their house. I explained to her what I did when I was outside. Except for the Sana thing.

"Mina, could I go back to Korea?" I asked her permission. She looked at me with her innocent eyes.

She sighed, "I'll ask my mom."

"I want to go back today, please. Nothing good happened to me here." I begged her. "Please, Mina."

"Okay. I'll book a flight." She told me.
