Sebastian stood there looking at hunter feeling uneasy especially as hunter was smiling at him.

"Hey" Sebastian said

" hello smythe" hunter said still smiling but Sebastian could tell it was a fake smile as he noted a smirk within it.

"Can i help you with something" Sebastian asked.

" i realise last night i was rather rude when you came over to bring the tray back and as an apology i want to invite you to dinner this evening." Hunter said

"That would be great thank you" Sebastian said mainly because he wanted to make sure rachel was alright.

" great shall we say seven " hunter said

"Yeah that's fine thank you" Sebastian said

" well i will see you then bye smythe" hunter said walking away whistling Sebastian couldnt help but think hunter was upto something or had an hidden agenda.

LATER

Sebastian made his way over to their house holding a bottle of wine he was cursing himself for having agreed to this as yesterday his presence hd made hunter seem angry with rachel.

He knocked on the door and waitdd hunter opened it a moment later.

" come in" he said Sebastian walked in the smell wafting through the house from the kitchen was incredible. Hunter had clearly seen him notice it.

" yes rachel is an amazing cook " hunter said

"I brought this " Sebastian said handing him the bottle of wine.

"Thank you come through" hunter said Sebastian followed him into a living room.

"Would you like a scotch we will have the wine with dinner" hunter said

"Ok" Sebastian said he had noticed a photograph on the wall of rachel and hunter taken on a beach and what got Sebastian's attention was they both looked blissfully happy and a little younger than they are now.

" that was taken on our honeymoon" hunter said having seen him looking at the photograph.

" how long have you two been married" Sebastian asked

" almost four years" hunter said Sebastian nodded.

" you never thought of getting yourself a wife" hunter asked

"I have focused on my career" Sebastian said hunter nodded.

"You should consider it we men have needs after all" hunter said handing him his scotch.

" how did you two meet" Sebastian asked

" we have known each other all our lifes my parents died when i was a young boy rachel's parents were their best friends so they tuck me in and raised me." Hunter said.

"Im sorry for your loss" Sebastian said

"So whats your story what brought you to westerville" hunter asked

"My father is a very successful lawyer and while i wantedto follow in his footsteps i didnt want to be in his shadow"  Sebastian said hunter nodded.

"Dinner is almost ready " rachel said appearing in the doorway.

" follow me" hunter said and Sebastian followed him through to the dining room feeling more confused about Rachel and hunter by the second.

A few minutes later he nd hunter were sat at the dining table as rachel brought their dinner through.

" thank you" Sebastian said to her as she placed hus infront of him she smiled and nodded before going to get her own plate.

Once the three of them were sat around the table hunter started asking him about himself some more.

" i know i asled what brought you here but why westerville is there something or someone who made you choose this place" hunter asked

" no i saw the house at a property auction and fell in love with it and after growing uo in new york the idea of having a garden and a porch swing was very appealing to me" Sebastian said

" it is a stunning town" hunter admitted.

"What brought you guys here" Sebastian asked he saw rachel look at hunter.

" similar to you really rachel's father is a doctor and i followed in his footsteps i guess having grown up in asmall town rach and i wanted a change wanted to make our own life somewhere else" hunter said Sebastian had a feeling this wsnt the whole story.

" i see" Sebastian said

" so when do you think your law firm will be up and running" hunter asked

" im hoping next week i need to get a secretary and some furniture first" he said hunter nodded.

" i might be able yo help you out with the secretary part" hunter said

" oh" Sebastian said

" my secretary dianna is a twin her twin sister quinn is looking for a new job and she is a trained secretary" hunter said Sebastian wondered why hunter was trying to help him out he couldnt shake off the uneasy feeling he had.

"Thats great" Sebastian said

" if you want i will get her to call round your office tomorrow " hunter said

"Yeah thanks" Sebastian said as rachel got up and cleared their plates.

"That was amazing" he said as she tuck his plate.

"Told you she was an amazing cook i lucked out marrying her didnt i" hunter said once rachel was put of the room.

"Yeah" Sebastian said

" although i must warn you" hunter said Sebastian looked at him.

" rachel has an obsession with new york with broadway and given she knows your from there she will no dont try to talk to you alot about it so if she does let me know. You dont have your own wife to put up with soyou dont want to be bothered by mine" hunter chuckled Sebastian had a feeling that this warning was nothing to do with new york but was hunter's way of saying she is mine so stay away.

Rachel walked back into the room carrying desert.

"Thank you my love" hunter said as she placed his dish infront of him.

" so have you any plans for the house " hunter asked

" the house" Sebastian asked still thinking about hunter's warning.

" its a little run down i wondered if you thought about restoring it" hunter said

" yes actually i do want to restore it i think it will look lovely when its done" Sebastian said

" roses a garden should have roses" rachel said Sebastian looked at her as it was the first time she had joined in the conversation.

" our garden is something of a hobby for rachel" hunter said

"I dont know the first thing about gardening i mean i know what grass is but besides that im hopeless" Sebastian said.

" i can help you with your garden" rachel said Sebastian didnt know what to say and as it was he  didnt need to say anything.

" your aready so busy with ours my love im sure smythe can get a gardener " hunter aid rachel nodded.

They made small talk for tbe rest of the meal and then as Sebastian walked back home that night his head was spinning. It was weird but the more he found out about huner the more confused he got.
