Its two days since jesse st james had been to see him and Sebastian had been on edge very second since worried about rachel worried about the unsuspecting patients that hunter was treating. He wanted to shut the place down but he worried what Hunter would do.

He was still waiting for thad to get back in touch he wondered if quinn had actually posted the letter to him or not.

Quinn had also made him on edge she would from time to time enter hi office and attempt conversation with him then would ask a rather weird question about his family or his career or his life here in westerville. He was now more certain than ever she was a spy and was thinking whether or not to fire her. He wanted rid of her but that would make hunter aware that he was onto him and he couldn't have that.

After a long day at work Sebastian was ready to head home he had a nice bottle of scotch waiting for him.

He left his office and was ready to lock up.

" i wonder could i not stay late mr smythe i have some work to do and i..." quinn said

"It can wait i will lock up" Sebastian said

"Okay " she said looking defeated before grabbing her coat and leaving Sebastian followed her out and locked the door he was pleased it was friday.

" hello smythe" hunter said behind him Sebastian turned and saw hunter and rachel stood there both smiling only rachel's  looked genuine hunter's couldnt have looked more false.

"Hello" he said to them.

"So first week over and done with" hunter said nodfing to the office building.

" yeah" Sebastian said

" bet the cases of the people here are pretty dumb new york must be more exciting" hunter chuckled.

" oh i dont know about that some of them seem to be pretty interesting " Sebastian said

" good we wouldnt want him to get bored and leave town would we rach" hunter said rachel didnt say anything.

" im surprised you didnt go to new york to run your clinic more people means more money" Sebastian said

" i want to help people its not about money" hunter said

" same" Sebastian said

"Right well we best be off" hunter said and took hold of rachel's arm and led her away down the street.

Sebastian had all on not to run after them and pull Rachel from his clutches she didnt deserve a husband like that.

Sebastian watched as they disappeared into a restaurant and turned and headed to his car.

Once he was home he saw something that made him smile as stood on his front door was thad.

" thad" he said getting out of his car.

" seb" thad said Sebastian let them in and went into the living room and poured them both a scotch.

" your letter was pretty interesting" had said after they had briefly had a catch up.

" yeah did you look into him" Sebastian asked

" i did" thad said

" i found out he isnt actually a doctor" Sebastian said

" i know thats why i came to see you and that isnt the only thing he is faking" thad said

" you mean there is more" Sebastian asked feeling worried.

" yeah there is more he spent eight minths in a psychiatric hospital suffering from ptsd" thad said

" i know that much when was he discharged " Sebastian said

"Thats just it seb he wasnt he escaped" thad said

" seriously" Sebastian said sitting up straight.

" yes he disappeared pretty well as it was almost a year before i found anything else on him and that was his wedding certificate he got married in new york" thad said

"New york but rachel told me she had never been to new york" Sebastian said

" thats just it he didnt marry  rachel in new york" thad said

"You mean he has been married before" Sebastian asked

" yes he was married to a girl called felicity only briefly before she died" thad said

"She died" Sebastian said

"Yes she fell down a flight of stairs" thad said

" do you think it was an accident " Sebastian asked thinking hunter must have been involved.

" no i dont because six weeks later is when he married rachel who he had grown up with as a young child and then lost touch Then they met again.

" surely rachel wouldn't have married him if she knew about his first wife or that he isnt a doctor" Sebastian said.

"What is rachel like" thad asked

"She is lovely and ..." Sebastian started to say.

"Hold on did Sebastian smythe the guy who doesnt do feelings just call this woman lovely you like her" thad said

" no i dont" Sebastian said

"Seb" thad said

"Even if i did she is still married" Sebastian said

"I have a few contacts that are still to get back to me so we have to be patient we dont want him running do we" thad said Sebastian shuck his head.

Sebastian filled thad in on jesse st james and the plan involving a miss mercedes jones.

" so for now we wait but we also need to figure out a plan to get rachel away from him" Sebastian said

" seb you need to prepare yourself for the fact that she might not want to leave him he is still her husband" thad said

"Thad you agree with me tbat his first wife died suspiciously" Sebastian said

"All im saying is we dont know how much of this she is aware of"  thad said

" rachel is innocent in all this there is no way she would or could be involved" Sebastian said thad nodded.

Both their minds were racing and Sebastian set about making them both dinner they spoke of new york after that and their childhood.

That night as Sebastian got ready for bed thad was in the guest room next door he looked over at the clarington house.

" i will get you free of him rachel" he said out loud.
