"DIE YOU DOOFUS, DIE!!!" Eugene screamed at his computer.

"Victor watch the filet! We don't want another burned dinner!" shouted Rosa. You smiled. Things were always so quiet at your house, the noise here was almost comforting. 

"Welcome to the house," Pedro grumbled. 

"PEDRO! You didn't tell us you were bringing a guess over señor. I'm so sorry, we would have cleaned up more if we had known," Rosa told you sincerely while shooting a pointed look at Pedro. 

"Oh no it's all right! I like it. Your home has such a good vibe, it's inviting," you said happily. 

"So...you're Pedro's tutor, correct?How's he doing?" asked Rosa.

"Yes! He's doing great, he's really smart actually, he just learns differently than other people so it takes more time," you said smiling.

"Well that's great to hear! I hope your staying for dinner, we have lots of food," Rosa said gesturing towards the dining room.

"I was hoping too! If it isn't too much trouble..."you said shyly. 

"Great! Well you can go sit in the dining room and I'm going to call the rest of the familia down," Rosa said sweetly. "FREDDY, BILLY, MARY COME DOWN, STEAK FILET IS READY! EUGENE GET OFF THE COMPUTER!" Rosa screamed. 

You went and sat down trying to contain your nerves about seeing Freddy again. Darla came rushing down and gave you a hug "Y/N! It's so good to see you again! Welcome  to our home! I'm sorry, if I knew you were coming I would've made you a sign," she frowned slightly. 

"It's all right! It's great to see you again too!" you hugged her back. (A/N: Oh my gosh you guys I can't even describe to you all how much I adored Darla in the movie.) Mary came down on the phone a few minutes later, talking 100 miles as hour. Billy followed quickly after and when he saw you he waved. "Well sure just leave the crippled kid in the dust so he gets the last burnt piece of filet," Freddy grumbled as he walked into the dining room. He pulled his chair out (which was right across from you) and sat down grumpily. When his gaze met yours,his entire facial expression seemed to melt away. "Hey!" he squeaked. "What are you doing here? Not that I don't want you here! Just um, how did tutoring go Y/N?" 

Your jaw dropped, "You...remembered my name!"

"Well yeah, I mean how could I forget the name of a pretty girl," Freddy smiled shyly. 

You blushed. "Thanks... Anyway, Tutoring went well!" You took a bite of the steak filet on your plate. 

Everyone stared at you. "What?" you asked through a mouth full of food.

"We normally say a payer before we eat, but it's okay! You're ew, you didn't know!" Darla said trying to sound encouraging. You stopped chewing, mortified, and mumbled a sorry. 

"Don't look so embarrassed! It's fine, I didn't even say it he first couple times I came here," Billy told you," All hands on deck," Billy said, everyone moved their hands to the center of the table like they were about to let out a WILDCATS! cheer. You smiled and moved your hand to the center of the table too. "Thank you for this food, thank you for this day, thank you for our new friend, we hope Freddy doesn't scare her away." Billy said. You grinned.

"HEY! I'm not that terrible!" Freddy complained.

"Just as long as you don't spout out random facts throughout dinner, especially about the Romans brushing their teeth with urine," Victor teased.

"Well it worked!" Freddy said, face red as a tomato. 

"I think that's cool! I love random facts, I tell them all the time and my friends get annoyed with me," you said, "Like, did you know that ostriches can run faster than horses and the males can roar like  lions?" you asked excitedly. Freddy grinned at you, Billy dropped his fork, Eugene muttered something that sounded a lot like "Great. Another one," Mary looked between you and Freddy before smiling knowingly,and Pedro just quietly ate his dinner like nothing happened. 

"That is...so cool! So I guess Supergirl should've gotten a super ostrich, not a super horse!" said Freddy.

You giggled, "I guess you're right."

 Supper continued uneventful as everyone was enjoying their delicious steak filet. Once you were all finished you sat down on the couch to watch some TV. You were in-between Darla and Billy with Freddy laying lazily across a chair nearby shooting jealous looks toward Billy occasionally. 

The first channel that turned in was a news channel. "It has been reported that three armed robbers are inside of a Menards holding the shopkeeper and two other employees inside and threatening to shoot them," said the news reporter. Everyone seemed to straighten up at that and then Billy shot a look at Freddy and the look crossed over everyone's faces like a game of telephone until all their gazes landed on you. 

"What?" you asked nervously, you didn't like a lot of attention. 

"You know I think we're all feeling pretty tired right now Y/N, maybe someone should was you to the door, I think we are all going to bed early tonight," Mary told you.

"Oh ok..." you said a little sadly but smiling still.

"I'll walk you to the door," Freddy offered already getting up. 

"Ok! Sounds good," you said, mood suddenly improving. You got up too and Freddy walked with you out the door and onto the porch.

"Thanks for coming over and having dinner! It was fun, maybe you could come over again sometime," Freddy said scratching the back of his neck.

"Sure! I'd love too! And thank you for having me! Oh can you thank Pedro for inviting me when  you see  him?" you asked.

"Sure! I'm sorry you couldn't stay longer but maybe on night when people aren't committing crime," Freddy said.

You frowned, "You mean when you all are feeling less tired right?" you said confused. 

"Right! I mean-of course why else? It's not like we're crime fighters! Not that we're crime commiters either! I mean, good night!" Freddy stammered.

"...Well all right," you said slowly turning around. "I'll see you at school tomorrow Freddy!" you waved bye and started walking down the steps.

"Bye Y/N," Freddy said wistfully. 

You started walking home and then realized you weren't holding your backpack, "Oh no! I must've left inside," you ran back quickly. You noticed the door was unlocked and just walked inside seeing your backpack by the couch. "There it is!" you smiled, picked up the backpack, and     you were about to walk out when you heard a loud shout from the backyard. "SHAZAM!" was what it sounded like. You knew you should walk away, it was rude to just invade this sweet family's privacy,but your curiosity just got the better of you. You slowly walked to the back door and cracked it open,looking outside.

 You gasped at the sight. Six superheroes including the Red Cyclone stood in the yard, their backs turned away from you. "I feel bad we had to send her away on such short notice, but this sounds pretty dangerous," said the Red Cyclone, 

"Yeah. But hey at least I didn't scare Y/N away!" said a superhero in a light blue suit. You frowned. Why would a super awesome superhero scare you away? And moe importantly, how did he know who you were?

"No. But you might've if you oggled at her any longer," said a female superhero in a red suit. 

"I wasn't oggling! I was just watching to see if she was enjoying th food! I wanted to be a good host!" Captain Blueberry insisted. That is what you decided to  call him  until you knew his real name. 

"Wait til Andi hears this..." you thought realizing suddenly that Gus was right. All the superheroes suddenly whirled around and looked at you looking terrified and shocked. You covered our mouth, significantly too late, realizing you had said your last thought out loud,and pretty loudly at that. 

"Um, hi! Listen I'm sorry I was just grabbing my backpack and I thought I heard a yell outside and I just wanted to see what it was and then you all were here and I thought I heard my name come so I listened but I'm leaving now!" you said in a rush. 

"It's  all right. I mean anyone would do the same thing if they heard a bunch of SUPER attractive, SUPER dope superheroes talking about them right?" asked the Red Cyclone teasingly. 

You nodded, but something about the way he sai, cockily yet thoughtfully reminded you of someone..."Well sorry again for interrupting your crime fighting evening! Have fun fighting bad guys or whatever it is you do, I got to get home." 

"Run as fast as an ostrich!" yelled Captain Blueberry. You stopped in your tracks as suddenly everything clicked into place. 

"How did you know ostriches run fast?" you asked accusingly.

"Um...I have super intelligence?" Blueberry answered nervously visibly saying to sweat.

"Uh huh. Well it's a pretty random fact, not many people know it, it's normally TOLD to them by someone," you said slowly walking towards the blue superhero. 

"Well yeah, I have a super smart friend," Captain Blueberry lied.

You sighed, "I get it! Knock it off already! I know it's you Freddy!" 

"W-What? NO! I have no idea this Freddy Freeman you speak of," he said, not dropping his act.

"Intersting. I never told you his last name,"  you whispered leaning in. 

"All right! It's me! I'm so sorry for lying to you, I hope I haven't betrayed your trust but we've never told anyone before and whoever we did tell would be in danger and the last thing I ever want to do is put you in danger!" Freddy gushed. 

"It's ok. I understand. Well, no actually don't. When? How? Why are you all superheroes? And why are you all grown up?" you asked, the reality  of the situation hitting you hard.

"There was this wizard, he had all these amazing powers, but he was growing too old and weak to use them. So he took me off a subway and told me to grab his staff and say Shazam, and when we say that, we turn into these superhuman  adult versions of us! Anyway, we had to fight this one really bad villain and his seven sins, well I did. But I couldn't do it alone, I needed help, from my family. So I shared my powers with them, we stopped the bad guys which was freakin awesome, and now we fight crime when we have time." Billy (or you assumed he was Billy based on earlier) said. 

You breathed. "Sorry, this is just a lot to take in all at once."

"I know it's scary and confusing and you probably want to talk through it, but we really have to go kick some ass right now, soooo...maybe tomorrow?" asked Freddy.

"Ok, tomorrow is good," you nodded still feeling light headed. You started to walk back inside to the door.

"oh, and Y/N?" asked Billy.

You turned around. "What is it?"

"Please don't tell anyone about you know, THIS. It's just the more people who know the more danger we're in and all the people around us so could you keep it quiet for now?" 

"Sure, of course! Kick their butts!" you smiled and waved goodbye walking through the door. "Goodnight everyone!"

"Goodnight Y/N!" everyone yelled back.

You started onto the side walk, walking home, backpack on your back, just thinking over your crazy evening. From  Freddy calling you a pretty girl to finding out the boy you were tutoring and his entire family were superheroes, you were the most confused then you had ever been in your entire life. But also more excited and hopeful for the future then ever before...

This chapter is longer than all my other ones because there was so much to include in it and I didn't want it to feel super rushed.  That made it take longer, but don't worry!
