You walked into the principal's office hesitantly glancing around. You hadn't been in here since the school protest to change the dress code. 

"Y/N. There you are, I have an important matter to discuss with you," Principal Metcalf sat in his chair and gestured towards the seat in from of him, "Please sit." 

"Listen, if this is about the arm wrestling thing, I'm not going to apologize. Women and men should should have equal rights, and women are just as strong, if not stronger, than men and if you think otherwise-"you started speaking angrily. 

"I don't know what you're talking about. This is about a tutoring job," Metcalf stated. 

"Oh...For who?" you asked.

"You! There's a student who has been struggling in math for awhile, Pedro Pena. He's from a foster family and he doesn't have a lot of friends. If you could help him, and maybe befriend him as well, I have no doubt he could do better in school. Socially and with education." 

"I don't know...my last tutoring job didn't go so well.'' You thought back to tutoring TJ and him taking all his frustrations out on you.

"Really? I think quite the contrary, Mr. Kippen was actually the one who recommended you." Metcalfe said seriously. 

"Wow...I find that very surprising,"you said shocked.

"Well you were his only tutor who cared enough to see what was really wrong and get him help. His entire attitude changed, from "can't do" to " can do." You smiled to yourself.  Even though you had been the one to figure out TJ's learning disability, you knew that the attitude adjustment was the work of Cyrus Goodman. "Anyway, we're really hoping you can help Pedro, see what's really going on. It's up to you, but remember everyone's got something they have to deal with. "

That decided it for you. You knew what it was like to have a problem you had to deal with. Your mom had been away overseas for almost a year and it didn't look like she'd be coming home anytime soon. You took a deep breath. 

"I'll do it."

A/N: I just want to clarify you aren't Buffy, so picture yourself as you. Marty won't be in  this story because I can't write him without Buffy.
