Jimin's POV

"Right, let's get to work shall we." Taehyung piped up.

I sighed while nodding.

"That is such a poor attitude, I can assure you that it can be quite fun to work on the farms." Taehyung harped on to try and boost my mood.

"How?" I questioned.

"Well there's lots of cute animals on the farm that you can pat and be up close with." Taehyung explained while distributing some hay with the rake.

I joined him with my rake before speaking, "Sounds an utter delight, animals that can shit on you, sit on your foot, and charge at you." I said sarcastically.

"Well well well, aren't you a ray of sunshine," Taehyung began.

"I thought maybe you were just grumpy yesterday, but are you always this grouchy?" Taehyung finished saying as he put down his rake.

I scoffed, "I am not grouchy."

"Oh, so you just have a poor attitude towards everything?" Taehyung shot straight back as I watched him heave one of the hay bails down off a stack of other hay that was inside the barn.

"I do not have a poor attitude." I huffed while pouting.

"You are so negative, Jimin." Taehyung started.

I stood with my mouth agape as he continued talking.

"You didn't like my dancing, and you are displaying animals negatively. If you actually enjoyed your life, you may actually be a happier person." Taehyung commented.

Who does he think he is? My therapist?

He doesn't know shit about my life but yet he's making so many assumptions about me.

"Hold up, who said I am not enjoying my life?" I asked while cocking my eyebrow.

This however made Taehyung stop what he was doing to make eye contact with me.

"Me. I mean sorry if I am incorrect or for understanding you differently to others. You just sound like such a negative rich person who is ungrateful for your surroundings," He began.

"Just sounds like you are not willing to open your eyes to the freedom of beauty that surrounds you, or to explore things that make you happy." He explained, his eyes watching my facial expression very closely.

I turned away from him to continue raking.

"I do not wish to speak about my happiness with you. I barely even know you." I concluded.

Taehyung took his time responding back to me as he used his rake to break apart the hay bail.

"Well if you change your mind, I'd be happy to listen." He said calmly as he began to rake the hay across to the other side of the barn.

I watched his back as he moved the hay in shock.

I do not understand why this male is constantly so nice to me, even when I do not wish to like him.

I did not come to the farm seeking a therapist, friend, or lover, but there is something quite calming about Taehyung that is enticing me.

It's as though he has the patience to deal with my antics, and genuinely wishes for everyone to have a happy life.

"More raking or we will be here all day!" I heard him call from the corner of the room.

He didn't turn to face me, however he must have realised there was no sound of hay being moved on my side of the barn.

"You'd be here longer if I wasn't here to help." I stated.

"Yeah but you are a distraction and it costs me time having to show you what to do so keep at it." He shouted.

I rolled my eyes while raking the hay again.

I guess I am now a slave for a hot farmer.

Once the hay was distributed, we moved onto a hutch on my aunt's side of the farm.

However I sighed as we walked inside and there were a bunch of chickens.

Taehyung seemed to notice my hesitancy as he climbed over into the pen with the chickens while I did not.

I watched as Taehyung walked over, opening a gate so that most chickens walked outside to the small patch of grass.

"Don't like chickens?" Taehyung called as he leaned over the pen to grab a bag that sat on a wooden desk in the barn.

"Not overly." I said while hesitantly climbing over the wooden fence to get into the chicken pen.

"Okay well, I'll feed the chickens to occupy them, you just need to grab their eggs from their hutches. There may be a couple chickens still in there though." Taehyung hummed.

"I don't gotta put my hand under them right?" I asked while my insides began to panic.

"Normally I'd say yes, but I'll let you off for now. Any is better than none." Taehyung told me as he lifted a heavy bag of chicken food over to a troth.

As he began feeding them, I grabbed an empty bowl from a desk and gently collected eggs from the missing chicken parents that were sitting inside wooden hutches.

I did not dare go near the ones with chickens still sitting on them.

My heart was racing as I heard Taehyung's voice behind me as I grabbed the last one, "Good job." He cooed while I stood up straight.

One of his hands gracefully held onto my hip while his other hand reached around me to grab the bowl out of my hands.

His deep husky voice was enough to make me freeze, especially at how close he was to me.

He didn't even need to stand that close to me considering most of the chicken pen was empty now.

He especially didn't need to hold onto my hip when his objective was to grab the bowl I held.

But I suppose that is the Taehyung effect.

He makes you swoon because he's a hot young farmer who's happy as anything.

"Let's go." Taehyung softly whispered as he stood behind me, knowing I'd frozen while deep in thought.

I could already feel my heart beating out of my chest as I felt his larger hand let go of my hip to grip my wrist to pull me over to the edge of the hutch to leave.

What is this god damn man doing to me? I don't swoon for men. Even if I wanted to, I really cannot afford too.

AU - What ya thinking? I'd flip out if Taehyung put his hand on my hip, or even got close enough to whisper to me... Do yal see Jimin falling already? But do ya reckon Taehyung know's what he's doing??? What yal thinking? I'd love to know!!!

Hope yal are all taking care of yourselves tooo! Byeeee for nowwww!
