The Damn Distraction!

RAGHAV'S POV

Mad Woman!

No one has dared to ask me such questions.

And she's different then anyone out there.

You know that!!

Whatever!!

It was one month and I didn't have much encounters with her. More because I kept myself busy with office and state works. I didn't want to get...

Accept the fact Raghav Singh Rathore.

Yes fine! I didn't want to get distracted.

She's a damn distraction. And I couldn't just , not notice her. I don't know how is it possible that she doesn't even try yet attract people around her.

Does that mean has she attracted you too?

Shut up Subconscious!!

Ugh! She's messing up my mind!

In last six years, it's for the first time that I've been getting distracted. And I don't want to. Because it's not good.

I shook away the thoughts and looked into the land papers sitting in the office room when there was a knock on the door.

"In" I commanded to find dad.

"Didn't go to office yet" He asked

"Will be leaving in some time." I replied pointing the papers in my hands and he nodded taking the chair in front of me.

"Rains are good this time Raghav. Government is doing it's work but, you should once hold a meeting with Farmers" Dad suggested

"Yes, I've been thinking about it. But how about like every year you do that" I asked

"But you're looking into state too. Why not you" He demanded

"Because the head of state is not me dad. It's You who's King " I explained

"People already see you as King" He said

"But I'm Not" I replied

"I've a solution for this" He said with a small smirk and I knew where it was going.

"You won't stop trying right" I sighed

"How can I ? It's my duty to put some senses in my son to get his deserving position" He said

"Ain't I doing good without being a king" I questioned

"You're doing excellent son but just think about this old man. He wants to get retired from this duty of King" He sighed

"Emotional blackmail, not working" I said and he huffed like a kid.

"You're very stubborn Yuvraaj. " He complained

"Got genes from you Maharaj " I shot back

"When can I expect to see you at my place" He asked sighing and I looked at him.

"The day I see my daughter's progress getting stamped that she'll for sure start walking, that day you can expect me at your place Dad" I told and he looked at me and then out of the window of the office room where Dr. Singh was taking physio sessions.

"Then I hope Janki just do it as soon as possible" He said tapping my shoulder while I looked out of the window to see her laughing half laying on the grass.

Well, if I keep away physio thing, she has made progress as Psychologist.

Megha never liked to go to Gardens but here she was giggling with her doctor in the palace gardens.

She's Something.

She's really something.

"Raghav.. " Dad snapped his fingers at me and I looked at him

"Yes" I asked when he looked at me and then at the one I was looking.

And then without uttering a word, just with a small smile he left.

I sighed knowing what thought just crossed his mind.

As I was done with the papers, I wore my coat and was going out when I heard the rains.

"God! Not again" I mumbled to no one specific but then a palace staff came running holding an umbrella and I remembered the day I met Dr. Singh in rain.

"It's okay. I'll manage " I said asking for the same and he nodded

As I was stepping out from the doors, I found Megha baisa and her caretaker coming towards porch where as the doctor still in lawn.

She had her arms open, head up and eyes closed.

And as I said, I couldn't just, not notice her smile.

"Dad" Megha spoke and I looked at her.

"You're smiling" She giggled

"Wh... No. I'm not" I said and looked straight.

I wasn't!!

"Whatever makes you sleep at night sweetheart" She shrugged

"Who taught you that" I asked a bit shocked and she pointed that one & only trouble.

I call her so because, she was really trouble as I've never seen or heard someone who slips their leg hitting floor so much , hitting on walls or any corners or else nothing but yet somehow falling every now and then.

I haven't seen that much, but heard that from everyone around.

She's a total clumsy!!

"Whenever I say her that I didn't do that or this after doing that particular thing, she bends down to me and says, whatever makes you sleep at night Sweetheart" Megha spoke and I sighed as I looked at her and then at some passing by staff who was looking at her.

Staring her!

And how dare they!

I took my phone out and dialled the security head of palace.

"I need three staff of palace to get their termination in an hour. You can find them via cctv in front gardens right now" I commanded and cut the call.

"Dad.. " Megha mumbled and I looked at her

"Yes baby" I asked

"I like her" She said and I looked at her and then at Doctor.

And truth was...

Shake it off Raghav.

But yet very silently I clicked her picture.

I headed near her with an umbrella to see her still enjoying her rain but then I put the umbrella in between us.

And when she realized no more water droplets falling on her she opened her eyes frowning and looked at me.

She was so close to me that I could even feel her breathing... Which fastened due to the proximity we had.

"Mr. J.. Yuvraaj" She whispered

She never completes that Mr. J... And I'm curious to know it.

"Enough of dancing in rains and grabbing unwanted attention Dr. Singh." I said to which she looked at me and I don't know what came in her mind she just took the umbrella from me.

"What the.. " I was cursing when she giggled

"Enough of dancing in rains and grabbing unwanted attention Dr. Singh" She mimicked me in front of myself and I glared her.

I still can't understand that this glare scares the shit out of people.

And this woman here was so unaffected by it. How!!

"Dr. Singh. What are you doing. I'm getting drenched" I chided

"Yuvraaj kabhi kabhi ye prince banne ki jagah ek normal insaan ki tarah jeeke dekho. Zindagi achi lagne lagegi (sometimes instead of being a prince, live like a human being. Life will feel good) " She said and I looked at her.

"Ms. Wagh, take Megha inside" I commanded and she nodded doing the same.

The security already did the work as I couldn't see anyone else then me and her.

And I looked at Dr. Singh, who was unaware of her surroundings.

The white top which she was wearing was becoming translucent and it....

Stop it Raghav Singh Rathore !

"It isn't safe for you to get drenched in rain like this Dr. Singh" I whispered removing my coat and handed her that when she realized what I was talking about and she instantly turned taking my coat and wrapped it around herself.

"I...I'll return it after washing" She mumbled and was about to go when I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me such that she bumped into my chest.

"Yuvraaj " she whispered and I looked at her.

"What" I asked

"What are you doing. I could've got hit" She questioned looking at me with her confused almond eyes.

Normal person, would've been hell scared right now but she, is just she.

"How is Megha doing" I asked

"You know you can ask me that sitting properly on your chair or couch" She asked a bit annoyed and a small smirk left my mouth.

"Since prince are abnormal, this is what abnormal people do" I said and she looked at me a bit surprised and then wriggled in my arms when I left her and stood two steps away.

"How is she doing" I asked and till now the rain too had stopped where as I for the first time was drenched completely in rains.

And I sneezed before she could speak.

"She's pro.. " She tried to speak and I sneezed again when she giggled.

"Looks like Yuvraaj is sensitive to natural environment" She mocked and I raised my brow to another sneeze.

"Move inside Yuvraaj or else, tomorrow you'll scold me for getting you a flu" She mocked once more

"You shouldn't mock a Prince so much" I muttered as I felt cold.

"Bye Yuvraaj." She smirked and left from there and I sighed looking at her.

What are you doing Raghav!

Do not Mess!!

She's your daughter's doctor who is here just for two more months.

Don't mess up!!

Sighing and sneezing again and again, I stepped inside to see mom coming.

"Raghav, what, you drenched" Mom asked a bit shocked

"I.. " Sneeze

"I'll need your stro.. Strong ginger tea" I sneezed to which mom chuckled nodding while I went to my chamber entering my room.

Taking a warm bath and getting ready in my normal kurta and pajama, I went out to see Dr. Singh talking to Megha sitting on the couch with a cup of tea.

"Mom, chai" I called and a palace staff handed me the same.

"Megha baisa now solve it as I told" Dr. Singh said Megha handing her the Rubric cube and she nodded as she pressed her wheel chair and went.

"The bitter coffee replaced by Chai. Not bad" She teased and I raised my brow

"Perks of being a normal human being" I replied and she giggled

Damn her Giggle! It's a music to aching ears.

And damn you Raghav. Just shut up!!

"Megha is progressing Yuvraaj. The psychological sessions are going really good. Megha is opening up. There are a few specific things, which since I'm not allowed to ask her, or I don't even know about yo... I mean about her" She was speaking when I looked at her.

"I'm sure you have your reasons. Your family has reasons but Megha needs a clean slate in mind and for that, she needs to overcome everything. Since I'm not allowed, I would request you to take out some time from your schedule and talk to her about them all. Answer some of the questions which she never asked, or else which she even don't know are there in her life. She's just a kid of 6 Yuvraaj. She deserves a lot " She whispered and looked away, rubbing her hand on her eyes and I still looked at her.

Did she.. Cry!

"Are you crying? " I asked

"No. And your chai is getting cold" She pointed

"Do You Think I Care About This Right Now? I'm listening you Dr. Singh. I need you to complete everything you were saying. " I stated and she sighed sliding the cup near me.

And I don't know why I obliged to it and I took it.

Just damn Why!!

"About physio things, the sessions are going great. Most important thing, she's showing little interest and that's helpful. But, we need to check the progress. Though I've almost all machines here but I'll need.. " She was saying when I spoke

"Just say the name. It'll be here before you wake up tomorrow" I said and she looked at me a bit surprised but then nodded.

As she gave me the name, I sent it to Mr. Diwaan.

"It's.. Not from India" She told and I looked at her.

"What my money will be of work, if it can't provide my daughter something she immediately needs for getting treated" I spoke and she looked at me and then smiled.

"You're a Good father Yuvraaj" She mumbled and stood up just to...

Right!!

"Tell me again , how come you're a doctor" I asked while she rubbed her ankle which she hit by the center table while adjusting her specs on her nose.

Cute!

"Bye Yuvraaj " She huffed and went away while I sighed as a small smile came on my lips.

I decided to work from home itself and went to my office room and started working on some files.

As the day progressed I got a message from Mr. Diwaan that the machine which had been ordered has reached half the way from Germany and would be in India tomorrow morning at 5 am.

In evening, I saw Dr. Singh, mom and Megha in the garden talking and laughing and honestly, I've never seen my family that happy.

And I've never seen you this light hearted Raghav!

No one asked advices Subconscious.

Listen to the advices Raghav, they're for your good.

Shaking away the thoughts as usual, we all had our dinner and I left for my chamber with a lot in my head.
