RAGHAV'S POV

The world lives on hope. But year by year my hopes were dying, I didn't have any hope but she evoked it.

As the monitor beeped with graph, my hopes raised. I was hoping again for my daughter to stand on her legs.

All Thanks to Dr. Singh.

But right now....

What revealed in front of me made me uneasy as well as angry.

What was the need to go!

She can call her parents here! She can call her family here. I would've arranged the best function here for the festival.

But why she needed to go!!

I tried focusing on my work in office room but damn, she was a distraction!!

I looked at the time and it was half past two in the morning.

Sighing I rubbed my eyes and went to terrace for a breath of fresh air.

As I went, I saw someone's back and it didn't took me a second to know who she was.

Dr. Singh was there, her back facing me while she was standing near the wall gazing the moon.

"Dr. Singh" I spoke going near her when she shrieked in horror and was about to fall when I held her hand and pulled her to me.

She panted in fear and I could.. Feel her fastened heartbeats.

"Sush.. Calm down. It's me" I whispered and she looked at me.

"Yuvraaj!! What the.. I was almost going to fall off the terrace in horror" She chided

"I won't have let you" I replied and her eyes travelled to her hand which I was holding and I.. Removed that.

"What are you doing here" We both asked at the same time.

"It's my palace. I can do anything, anywhere at any time" I spoke

"Yeah Yuvraaj" She mocked

"It's almost 3 am Dr. Singh. What are you doing here" I asked again

"I wasn't sleepy. And.. I like gazing stars and moon. Since there are clouds, stars aren't much visible so I was just admiring moon" She told and I looked at her.

"It can rain anytime. You need to leave in morning right. If you fall ill, you're not going" I said

"What! It's not raining yet Yuvraaj" She stated

"Ya fine! " I said and she looked at me for a second and then was about to pass from near by when I spoke.

"What's the need to go" I said

She looked at me shocked and well, I was surprised myself that I said that.

"I've my family there Yuvraaj. I miss them. And I want to see them" She replied

"So.. Call your family here. Megha.. Yes! Megha is comfortable near you only. Not any other doctor" I said

"But Megha told me that I should go and enjoy. She'll be fine for a week" She stated looking at me.

"Can't you just listen and stop. No one denies me" I snapped and she looked at me.

"I've said your thousand times before too, I'm not a person habituated to listen to orders. And you should stop doing that Mr. Rathore" She spoke and I...

I Hated That Formal Mr. Rathore used by her.

"You're Not Going" I stated

"What the hell. Who are you to stop me? You don't have any right to stop me Yuvraaj." She snapped and I glared her.

If getting on nerves had a name! It was hers!

I rubbed the rim of my nose in anger and picking her up in my arms, I threw her in the pool.

She shrieked as she landed in the pool and I looked at her as she put her face out of the water.

And I knew the next she was going to do was to scream, hence I went inside the pool and pulling her closer to me, I put my palm on her mouth.

She wriggled with another hand when I pulled her closer to me and twisted it to her back.

"Don't shout" I warned and she looked at me angrily and the next I know was...

"Aahh" I hissed as she... Bit my hand.

"What are you? A kid of two" I snapped rubbing my hand

Wild cat!

"And what are you Yuvraaj. A psycho" She angered

"I just said, you're not going anywhere. What is it that is hard to understand" I asked

"But why! Why can't I go" She whisper yelled on my face

"Because I said so" I stated

"And again, who are you to order me" She asked and I looked at her hairs wet in water, water droplets running down her face and her lips, parting as she spoke.

She's beautiful!

Stop it Raghav!

"I don't want you to go. That's it" I said

"Yuvraaj, in the morning you told me that I can ask for anything in this world, you'll give me. Be on your words Yuvraaj. I'm missing my family, I want to see them. I want to go to Delhi" She whispered and my hold on her hand loosened

"You're clever Dr. Singh" I mumbled and she looked at me.

"You can't keep me like that Yuvraaj. You need to learn to respect my decision." She spoke

"One week Dr. Singh. I want you here back in one week." I stated and she sighed

"You're... You're literally annoying " She snapped and I looked at her amused.

"And if this, throwing me in pool gets me ill, I'll not come for two weeks, may be three" She added gritting and thumping her foot in water which was Very kiddish, she went out.

"And next time you put me into water, I'll... I'll file a case against you" She whined and a chuckle left my mouth to which she pouted.

You're cute!

And, after years, for the first time my heart was glad to have someone's mere existence in my life and I had no intention of letting that existence fade away.

I looked at her disappearing figure.

One week it is then Sunshine!!

Sighing I came to my room, changed and tried to sleep but it was no where near hence I went to library and started reading a book.

As I looked at the time, it was already 5 am and I went downstairs to see Mom and Nivedita.

And of course her.

"Raghav, you're up so early" Mom asked surprised

"Have been working. Didn't sleep" I said and looked at Dr. Singh looking every where other then me.

Okay. I'll.. Leave now. Tell Megha baisa that not to be naughty and skip sessions. And yes, all the best to her for exams" She told Nivedita while she nodded.

"Bye everyone" She said and the women bid her bye while I just looked at her.

As she left, I looked at mom.

"Is security with her" I asked

"Yes it is. Yash made it sure" She replied and I nodded going to my room back.

The palace looked... Well incomplete.

The dining table again looked empty.

No one was talking all day at the palace.

No one was bumping in to me. Or falling or else even hitting somewhere.

The days passed, everything was same yet everything was so different.

I everyday looked at the calender to see days, counting them.

And I somehow hardly passed seven days and there was no notice of her coming back.

And that made me impatient now.

"Shall I come in Yuvraaj" Mom's voice came as I looked up from a deal's papers in my hand in study.

"Mom. Please come na." I said

"Raghav, what has happened. I'm seeing you a bit annoyed since some days" Mom asked

"Well, I'm here too" Dad's voice came and I looked at him.

"It's nothing like that. Just annoyed on how people doesn't follow instructions" I muttered under my breath

"What? " Mom asked confused

"Nothing mom. Just estate pressure" I replied

"Well, Yuvraaj, we also have a pressure on us. Though you won't like to talk about it" Dad huffed

"No please. Elaborate Dad" I asked

"I'm kidding Raghav. Though you said that if Megha baisa shows even a little progress, I can see you at my place" He said

"I do remember. I said that" I accepted

"Though I know it isn't happening anytime soon" He sighed

"Or it may happen anytime soon" I spoke and he looked at me and chuckled thinking I was joking.

But when I looked at him with a serious face, he looked at me for a second.

"Are You Serious" he asked

"We can stop being dramatic here dad" I spoke

"Oh my God. Mahima ji, did you listen. He's ready to be king. He's.. Damn! After six years finally. Finally! " He exclaimed happily but mom looked at me.

"Wait a second Raghav. I'm your mother and one thing I know is, you never do things so easily" Mother spoke and I looked at her with a small smirk.

"Where's Megha" I asked

"Taking a nap I guess" She replied

"What's the deal Raghav" Mom again asked

"I'm ready to be a king mom. " I said

"And you know right what being a king means" She questioned

"I don't speak, till I know" I stated

"So you're ready to.. Get married" She asked a bit excited

"Yes" I replied and my parents looked at each other and screamed in happiness hugging each other.

"But... " I spoke and that was the moment when they both just looked at me.

"But what? " Dad asked

"I've a condition" I said

"I'm ready for any condition Son if you're ready to get married, make up happy and be the king" Dad gushed

"What's the condition Raghav" Mom asked

"I want to marry Dr. Singh" I said and closed the file in my hand standing up and left the office room.

They surely needed time to digest what I spoke.
