Natsu was slammed against a tree hitting his head hard against the bark. He slid down the surface of the tree, looking up at a very tall man with black hair.  "W-why are you doing this?" he growled as fiercely as he could, but honestly, he was scared.  The man evilly grinned.  "Good night my child," he whispered.  He placed his pointer finger on Natsu's forehead.  Before he could even fight the urge, the salmon-haired boy's onyx pupils darkened and rolled behind his eyes before he slumped into unconsciousness.  "We'll meet again." And with that the being flew off with his dark dragon-like wings.

        The pink haired boy woke up in an unfamiliar forest. There was a sharp pain in his head. "Ah...ow!" he said quietly while putting his hand on the spot where it ached. Where was he? And for that matter who was he? He suddenly felt very alone afraid.

        "NATSU!" A loud male voice called.

        "NATSU!! Where are you???" said a female voice afterwards.

        'Is that my name? Who is that? Ow!' the pinkette wondered. He tried to get up in case he needed to defend himself, but his leg buckled under him and pain shot up his left leg and he fell back down. 'Crap!' he rubbed his head again.

        "NATSU!!" the voice called again, this time louder. The pinkette almost freaked out completely.

        'This is it! I'm going to die! I'm too young to die -wait- how old am I?' His mind swirled with questions and each question brought another sharp pain with it. Before he knew it he was crying and holding his head with both palms.

        "There you are! Thank goodness!" The pinkette jumped and turned to see a half-naked man with dark blue hair and a pretty girl with long flowy black hair looking at him. "Are you alright?"

        "W-who a-are y-you?" the pinkette asked in between sobs. The 2 people looked at each other in worry.

        "You're kidding, right?" the male said, looking less than impressed. the pinkette shook his head slowly. He still had his hands on the sides of his head.

        "I'm Gray, and this is Jessie. We're friends of yours. We're in the same guild." Gray pointed to the mark on his chest and Jessie pointed to her cheek. She then pointed to the mark on the pinkette's arm that was covered with mud and blood.

        "See?" The pinkette flinched away from Jessie. It was more from terror than anything else. Gray sighed.

        "I'll be back; I'm going to get Lucy and tell her you're alive." The pinkette tilted his head. Who was this 'Lucy'?

When Gray saw his confused expression, he sighed again. "Lucy is your girlfriend Natsu. Don't you remember anything?" Jessie punched his arm rather hard when he said "girlfriend ".

        'Natsu...is that my name? It must be, he keeps calling me it,' thought Natsu. 'Wait, what if it's an insult!' Another sharp pain raced through his head, and fresh tears streamed down his face. 'Why did it have to hurt so bad?'

        "Natsu...are you okay?" Jessie asked with concern.

        "N-no...it hurts!" Natsu replied between tears. The world started spinning, and Natsu suddenly collapsed on the ground.

        "Natsu!" they both ran to him. He had blacked out.

        "Now what?" asked Gray.

        "Guess we've got no choice but to carry him," replied Jessie. "We need to tell the rest of the gang he's alive, and to get him to the infirmary to look at....that." She pointed to his leg, which was twisted in a very weird manor.

        "Y-yea, someone should probably look at that," said Gray, trying not to throw up. Gray then ran towards where everyone else was waiting. Jessie turned to her friend with worry etched on her face. 

        'Oh Natsu...what happened?' She thought as she brushed a pink strand of hair away from his face. 'What kind of monster could do such a thing to someone like Natsu..?'
