Chapter 19

~Jessie's P.O.V.~

"Because...I'm one of them," Angie whispered, making my eyes widened in shock.

"What?!" we all practically blurt out.

"How can that be??" Erza asked, clearly has baffled as we were.  Angie looked down in shame, and I gasped out loud.  How could I be so stupid as to not see it?!  Ugh, baka baka baka!!!

'What is it Jessie?" Lucy asked, weirded out that I was face palming myself.

"I'm such an idiot!" I growled to myself.  "I can't believe I didn't see it!"

"See what??" Lexi asked, practically lost.

"I'll let Angie explain," I replied, and we all looked back at the girl with fair skin, light blonde hair, and blue eyes.  "Or do you want me to?"

"No, I'll explain," Angie whispered, her head still down.  I could see her eyes were glinting with shame.  "It happened fifteen years ago, as the battle raged on between Sakura and Kurai.  Random blasts of magic spread out in all directions, hitting many innocent people.  Of course, I tried to run away and avoid all of it, but as I ran, a blast of dark magic from Kurai came out of nowhere and I...."  she trailed off.  I nodded in understanding.

"What happened next?" I asked.  Angie shook her head.

"Next thing I know, I wake up, and the whole village is destroyed, with no one in sight. I looked around to see if anyone was still alive, but I found no one.  Eventually I found a huge chunk of the ground not in pieces.  It had a very strong sealing spell on it, it was one of the spells Sakura had in her books.  I eventually went to the rubble of her house and searched around in her books, only to find out that she had......died."  Tears started to form in her eyes.  "And it wasn't because of the sealing spell..."

"Then what cause her to die?" Gray blurted out loud.  I punched him really hard on the shoulder.

"Baka!" I hissed.  "Don't you realize it yet??"  Gray, and everyone else, gave me a weird look.

"I was the one who caused her to," Angie said in a tone barely above a whisper.  Her voice was shaking and tears were starting to grow into a trickle.  "I was dead, but she casted a spell that returned me to life, costing hers.."  At this point she bursted out sobbing and cried into Gray's bare chest (because he had stripped it off earlier).

"If the village was destroyed, how did it become restored?" Lucy asked softly, as to not upset Angie even more.  Angie gently pulled away from Gray and rubbed her eyes.

"W-when the season c-change the v-village resets and becomes an-new," Angie said in between hiccups.  "T-the least I c-could do was make s-sure the last thing she wanted was absolute."  Everyone knew what she was talking about.  Natsu never remembering his past.  Lucy sat down beside her and tried to comfort her.

"It's alright Angie, it's not your fault..." Lucy said softly.  Angie's hiccuping sobs slowly stopped as Lucy wrapped her arms around her.  I took this time to take a quick glance at Natsu, who was still sleeping.  I frowned, still worried about the fact that I still felt strong dark magic emitting from him.  I haven't told them yet, but if it gets any stronger, he might not be able to resist it.  I turned back to Lucy and Angie, who had both been connected to Natsu.  Perhaps this wouldn't be the best time to tell them this, but when will I get the chance?  I mentally shake my thoughts away.  All that matters right now is that this is not the time.
