"cry baby!"Divine said pulling his tongue at Desiree

"I will tell daddy when he comes back from work!"Desiree shouted bursting into loud cries

"Drama queen she have start crying again"David said shaking his head while taking a bite from the apple he is holding

"Will you two stop bullying your little sister?"Monica scold them and everywhere became quiet immediately "Diana grab me the electric grater"Monica said and Diana huffed

"Oh mummy! I'm going out with Daniel!"Diana whined

"Grab me the grater this minute!"Monica said and Diana huffed stomping over to where the grater is and handing it over to her mom

"Mom?!"they suddenly heard Daniel's voice and all eyes fell on him

"Junior!"Monica said and Daniel rolled his eyes

"Mom! I have told you several times to stop calling me that, I'm eighteen for God's sake, my name is Daniel not Junior"Daniel said and Monica chuckled

"Pain of bearing dad's name"Divine said and high five David, Daniel rolled his eyes ignoring them

"Thank God you're back, we should get going"Diana said

"Let me have a shower and change first"Daniel said and Diana nodded. Daniel was about going when his eyes landed on the food his mother was preparing

"Mummy! You're cooking so much today?!"Daniel said and Monica smiled

"We are having the family over"Monica said and Daniel squinted

"The family?"Daniel asked

"Mummy is having a get together dinner party"Divine said and bursted into laughter,his mom gave him the stink eye and he shut up immediately

"You mean Eliza is coming over too?"Daniel asked his eyes going wide

"Yes with her parents and younger ones"Monica said and Daniel's eyes got wider

"You better tell her to stay away from me when she comes, I don't want her around me!"Daniel shouted, David and Diana bursted into laughter. Divine and Desiree that didn't understand what's going on too started laughing

"You will treat her right when she comes, she's your cousin sister!"Monica said sternly

"You should be saying that to her mom, you should be the one telling her she's my cousin sister so that she can know her limits with me!"Daniel yelled "I will be heading to my room"Daniel said calmly this time around walking away, Diana followed him immediately.

"Knock! Knock! Knock!"Diana said and Daniel turn giving her the stink eye

"You have already entered the room so why are you saying that?"Daniel asked while removing his t-shirt

"You should be use to Elizabeth by now"Diana said shrugging

"I can't be use to her when she keeps on crossing over the line"Daniel said grabbing a towel

"Like how she kissed you last week on your eighteenth birthday? I know she's your first kiss"Diana said wriggling her brows

"Can you get yourself together? And who told you she's my first kiss? And how did you see that?"Daniel asked huffing

"We all know we had never seen you with any girl before,you rarely smile at them and also I saw you guys kissing when I wanted to come inside your room,you should be happy I didn't tell mom about it"Diana said shrugging

"Get out of my room"Daniel said and Diana chuckled "right now!"

"Did I hit a nerve?"Diana asked laughing.

"What do you know? You're just thirteen"Daniel  said and Diana  bursted into  laughter

"We are in the twenty first century and I'm in  Jss3 how do you expect not to know such,big bro?"Diana said wriggling her brows

"Get out! I mean it"Daniel said and Diana kept on laughing,Daniel got angry went closer to her dragging her out of his room,Diana kept on laughing while she climbed down the steps.

"You have ugly eyes"Divine said and Desiree started crying,Diana heard and rolled her eyes. The two immediate siblings are always like that

"Her eyes is big like frog eyes"David said and Divine started laughing

"Like sister Diana and brother Daniel's own"Divine said and Diana went closer to them drawing Divine's ear

"Repeat what you just said?"Diana said but Divine kept on shouting,Desiree started laughing

"Diana! Oh my God! This children will not kill me"Monica shouted and Diana chuckled heading to the kitchen

"You're supposed to be helping me with these foods"Monica said and Diana sighed

"I don't like cooking"Diana said and Monica gave her a disapproving look

"I'm handing over the kitchen to you on your sixteenth birthday"Monica said and Diana's eyes went wide

"Mom! You're talking about in three years time"Diana whined

"Yup! So start learning"Monica said and Diana had no choice but to help Monica,Monica had a triumphant smile on her face.

"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!"she suddenly heard Divine and Desiree shouted and knew her husband is back from work

"Daddy is back"Diana said smiling jogging out of the kitchen to meet her dad. Monica chuckled at the way Daniel won the heart of her children,she went to the sitting room and met them wrapped on Daniel's body,Desiree was busy reporting Divine to her dad who wasn't paying attention but pretended he was

"Sweetheart"Monica said and Daniel dropped the kids and went over to hug her,he gave her a small chastised kiss.

"How was work today?"Monica asked

"It was tiring but okay,hope the children didn't give you headache?"Daniel asked

"You know your children by now"Monica said and Daniel chuckled.

"Let me freshen up"Daniel said and Monica nodded,Desiree started crying that her dad should pick her up,she have always been a daddy's girl. Monica smiled when Daniel picked Desiree up.

Her mind took her to the day she did her wedding when she gave birth to David, David is ten years old now and three years later she gave birth to Divine who is seven years old and three years later she gave birth to Desiree who is four years old. They all look like their dad except Daniel and Desiree who took her eyes. Non of the kids except Daniel who knew Monica isn't the biological mother of Diana, they all thought Monica gave birth to Diana after Daniel and she's the only one that look like her mom while the rest look like their dad, Daniel had made a promise never to let anyone knows Monica isn't the biological mother of Diana, Diana herself thinks Monica is her biological mother

"Let's head back to the kitchen"Monica said and Diana nodded.

It was evening time, little by little the family started heading in.

"Grandma!"Divine shouted when his eyes landed on Mrs Ogechukwu

"My son!"Mrs Ogechukwu said embracing him in an hug

"Grandpa"Desiree said and Mr Ogechukwu carried her up playing with her cheek,Desiree bursted into laughter

"Granny!"Diana shouted when she saw Mrs Korede who bursted into laughter embracing her in an hug.

"You're growing bigger everyday,I can't believe my little baby of yesterday is now thesame height with me"Mrs Korede said and Diana bursted into laughter holding her hand and also pulling her inside

"Lola!"Monica greeted and they hugged

"Where is my warrior?"Monica asked

"Are you talking about Ben? I'm sure he is with Kingsley"Lola said and Monica nodded and they engaged in petty talks

"Akin!"Elizabeth called and Daniel halted on his tracks squeezing his eyes shut before turning to look at Elizabeth

"Eliza"Daniel called coldly

"I didn't see you in the sitting room and I decided to check up on you"Eliza said

"You better stay away from me Eliza,this is your last warning"Daniel said and Elizabeth got heart broken

"What did I do? I thought you like me too"Elizabeth said with teary voice

"Like you too? Are you dreaming?"Daniel asked scoffing

"You kissed me back when I kissed you"Elizabeth said and Daniel laughed humourless

"I wasn't thinking when I did that, stop having ideas,I am your cousin brother it will be better for us if you start believing that"Daniel said and Eliza scoffed

"Your mom is my mom's cousin sister,you're not my cousin brother Akin! I have always liked you"Elizabeth said her eyes getting teary

"You're only sixteen you will grow out of this"Daniel said shaking his head

"I won't,I will always love you"Elizabeth said and Daniel scoffed giving her a teasing look

"In your dreams"Daniel said and they suddenly saw Diana

"Mom is calling the both of you, it's time for the dinner"Diana said and Daniel walk away leaving Elizabeth to watch his back,a tear escaped her eyes and she wiped it with the back of her hand. Diana pretended she didn't see this and they walk towards the dining room

"You still have that picture hanged on the sitting room?"Jake asked and they all bursted into laughter. It's the picture of when Monica went into labor and Daniel managed to kiss her to seal their marriage vows,they were surprised the photographer could snapped them at that crucial period and decided to enlarge it and put it in the sitting room

"It was all Daniel's fault,I told him to postpone the wedding"Monica said and everyone in the table laughed

"I was afraid you might run away"Daniel replied and everyone laughed again

"When I'm heavily pregnant?"Monica asked

"You shouldn't be blaming me here,you should blame David who decided to make a presence at that time"Daniel said and they all bursted into laughter,David covered his face up immediately

"Leave the poor boy alone"Christian said

"I can't lie,that is the most hilarious wedding I ever attended. The reception have to hold with the bride in the hospital giving birth"Tolani said and everyone laughed

"I was so scared,do you remember the way we rushed to the altar?"Lola asked

"Don't remind me please"Mrs Ogechukwu said and they started laughing.

"Excuse me"Monica said heading to the kitchen. She suddenly heard steps and turn around her eyes landing on Sarah

"Sarah"she called and Sarah smiled

"Diana is a big girl now"Sarah said and Monica look away trying to control her anger,after Sarah gave Diana to Monica she had never tried checking up on her ever again

"You could say that again"Monica replied sarcastically and silence reigned "ain't you going to let her know you're her biological mom?"

"No! Diana is yours and she will continue to be. Let her be,don't even try telling her anything"Sarah said and Monica sighed

"It's not like I'm giving her to you anyways,I have grown to get use to her. Not having her in my life right now will make me sick"Monica said and Sarah smiled walking away

Awhile later Monica joined everyone in the table and met them talking and laughing.

"Are you okay?"Daniel asked his wife

"I'm fine"Monica said smiling. Daniel held her hand giving her an assuring smile,Monica smiled back and look at her family in the table everyone talking and look happy.

Her heart beam with joy, she's happy her family look all happy and she felt more than blessed having Daniel at her side. She felt blessed having Daniel who is always difficult as a son,Diana who is always lazy to do anything concerning the kitchen as a daughter,David her nerdy son, Divine her troublesome son and lastly Desiree her drama queen and daddy's girl. Her life wouldn't be complete without them and she's more than grateful having them in her life
