The drive to Lola's apartment was silent. Monica busy thinking about what she's going to tell Lola while Daniel watched her secretly,the way she bit her lips is really turning him on. He focus on his driving instead,he didn't want to put the two of them in danger because of his foolishness.

They pull inside the apartment and turn off the car ignition. Monica turn to face him feeling highly nervous of meeting Lola,she doesn't know how she's going to explain herself

"Thanks for taking care of me"she said and Daniel nodded

"I will wait for you,if everything goes smoothly I will take you back to your apartment"

"You don't have to,you have done enough"Monica said smiling and came down from the car. She started walking slowly to Lola's apartment her hands shaking. She's never being this scared of Lola like the way she is right now.

Daniel didn't move,he kept on watching her till she entered the apartment,he saw it in her eyes she's scared of meeting Lola,so he decided to stay and watch what goes down.

Monica entered the apartment,Lola isn't in the sitting room and she went straight to her room and met her coming out of the bathroom. Lola had a sky blue towel wrapped around her body and a small towel on her hand,she stopped walking when her eyes landed on Monica

"Lola!"Monica started she didn't know what to say

"I'm sorry Monica! I didn't know what came over me and I left you in the club"Lola rushed out and Monica stood stunned. She was all the way scared of how Lola is going to react but she didn't expect this reaction. Her mind came to a rest at least Lola ditched her too thesame way she ditched her at the club

"Wait what happened?!"Monica asked slightly frowning

"Well I met this guy... We talked and dance and... I didn't know... I ended up in his apartment"Lola said feeling abash

"Wow!"Monica's eyes went wide "you got laid!"

"Oh my God! Monica! Don't say it like that!"Lola said covering her face up with her towel

"This is surprising! Who's this nigga and how come? I always knew you're not a one night stand type of person"Monica said still stunned. This is not how she expected the afternoon to go

"Ehhh.... What about you? Looking at your face alone when you came shows you have something to tell me"Lola said trying to turn the table

"Uhm!"Monica started and remembered she didn't hear the car drive out of the compound "excuse me!"she says running out of the sitting room

She met Daniel standing beside his car leaning on it

"You didn't leave?"Monica asked

"I wanted to be sure everything is alright"Daniel replied and his eyes went from Monica to someone standing behind her, Monica turn to see Lola standing wearing a short flared gown. It's obvious she didn't wear anything beneath

"Barrister!"Daniel said grinning confusing Monica

"Oh my God! Chisom! What a pleasant surprise"Lola replied suddenly feeling self conscious. She had never dressed like this in front of any of the Ogechukwus

"You know him?"Monica asked

"Yes! I'm his dad private lawyer,I have been working for them for the past two years now"Lola said and Monica nodded

"Come"Lola invited him in and they went inside her sitting room.

Daniel took in her sitting room and thought it's comfortable enough,Monica went inside her old room and took a red jogger and a white round neck top she purposely left at Lola's place. She wore it removing the uncomfortable gown.

She came back to the sitting room and met Daniel and Lola talking casually though Lola had change from her ridiculous gown to a black jeans trouser and a button up shirt

"Oh Chisom is just telling me how he took you from the club,like seriously?! When did you start drinking so heavily?"Lola asked and Monica took the farthest sit away from Daniel

"Everything has a beginning"Monica replied nonchalantly and Lola knew immediately something is up,she decided to drop the topic

"He told me you're his lecturer,that's nice please be nice to him"Lola said and Monica scoff

"Thanks for taking care of my cousin,I really appreciate it any useless man could have gotten her in the vulnerable state and take advantage of her"Lola told Daniel who smiled

"It's okay, I will get going"Daniel said standing up and Monica did thesame. She walk Daniel out of the house to his car

"Thanks for today"Monica said and Daniel smirked

"Yes Miss lecturer"Daniel said in a mocking tone

"Hey! You better stop it I'm still going to deal with you if you disobey me in class"Monica said frowning

"Then I will just blackmail you with a certain video,imagine the school authority finding out"Daniel said casually entering his car leaving Monica's mouth wide apart. He revised his car and ride out of the compound.

Monica went back to meet Lola who is in the kitchen busy getting her ingredients ready to prepare pancakes

"Chisom is a good boy"Lola started without sparing Monica a glance

"Who is Chisom?"Monica asked confused

"Oh! I mean Daniel. He's a good boy"Lola said sieving the flour she's planning to use to prepare pancakes

"He is thesame student I was talking about,just too bad he met me at the club"Monica said sitting on one of the stool

"You should count yourself lucky,some people would have taken advantage of you"Lola said and Monica snorted

"He can't take that kind of advantage of me cause I'm older than him but he could take other advantages like blackmailing me"Monica said,she tried taking the vegetable oil from the upper cabinet but her hand wasn't reaching it. Lola smiled and took it with ease

"Spec of being tall"Lola said winking at Monica who only roll her eyes "just count yourself lucky Monica,some guys don't care if they're younger than you to take advantage of you" Lola said stopping, letting her word sink in "what happened at the club, I know you Monica you're always the responsible one of the two of us"

"You won't believe it Lola! I met Michael in the club"Monica said and Lola turn immediately

"What the.... How? I thought he is living in the rivers"Lola said

"I thought so too,now that I'm getting over him he came around again! After good three years,what's his game? He came over to me and told me he will be seeing me soon"Monica said feeling terrible again. She would have getting herself drunk if there's any drink around

"Calm down Monica! Let's not talk about him,he is your past and will ever remain so. Help me get this pancakes ready"Lola said and Monica nodded. She felt it's useless thinking about someone like him

They prepared their pancakes and ate it eagerly,Monica decided to return to her lodge and Lola decided to follow her,it's the weekend and she had nothing doing in her own apartment.

Monica finished her lecture with her eyes on Daniel who was busy taking note. The students starting leaving the class one after the other while Monica arrange her stuffs. Her eyes landed on Daniel who was walking out of the class

"Daniel! Daniel!"Monica yelled and Daniel turn scowling at her

"What?"he asked furrowing his brow and use that moment to place his two hands at the pocket sides of his jeans trouser. This movement made his muscles flex making Monica to gulp. God! This is her student for God's sake.

"You didn't submit the essay I asked you to submit"Monica said not understanding while her body reacted that way to Daniel. She felt disgusted immediately

"Essay?! Are we in secondary school?"Daniel asked frowning

"At least show me some respects! I'm still your lecturer!"Monica said frustratedly

"Lecturer!"Daniel said mockery

"We have to talk"Monica decided to tell him the main reason she called him. She didn't actually care about the essay

"Talk about what?"Daniel asked

"The video"Monica said playing with her fingers,she's so scared of this getting to the school authority. The university is very disciplined and strict

"My friend is waiting for me,if you will excuse me"Daniel said walking away. He didn't know what possessed him to lie about the video,but he wasn't ready to tell her it's false and he decided to use that information to his satisfaction.

Monica watched him walk away and groan,she needed to act fast before she looses her dream job. She cursed herself for letting loose like that at the club.

At five pm Monica was done for the day in the university,she went back to the lecturer's lodge and had a nice shower,she changed to a wash blue jeans trouser on a pink and white strap button up t-shirt. She prepared herself a late lunch and sat down slowly munching on her food when an idea came to her. She wrapped up what she was doing fast and left the lodge.

The cab successfully took her to Daniel's apartment and she knocked on his door,she suddenly became nervous after knocking on the door but felt like she needed to do this,Daniel who was shirtless only clad on a jogger came to open the door. The knock wake him up from his perfect sleep.

"What are you doing here?"he frowned

"We need to talk"Monica said but Daniel remain quiet watching her like she grew a second head "please let me in"Monica added and Daniel nodded opening the door wider for her to step in.

She entered the house and Daniel locked the door behind him. Monica took a seat and Daniel sat down on a sofa facing Monica's. He waited for her to talk but her eyes were trained on his chest,she gulped after seeing his sexy abs. Daniel is a walking sex god and he needed to be arrested for this. He can't just be roaming freely confusing the females and of course those men that find their fellow men sexy

"You wanted to say something"Daniel said jolting Monica back to the real world

"About the video"Monica started

"Are we having this talk again?"Daniel asked groaning

"Please you have to delete the video,think about my career please"Monica plead

"You should have thought about it when you were wasting yourself in the bar"Daniel said smirking and stood up trying to walk out on Monica, she stood up immediately grabbing his hand

"Please"she pleaded and Daniel's eyes fell on her lips. He almost kissed her but control himself taking a step back

"Leave!"Daniel said sternly. They have to be miles apart before he does something he will regret later. Monica didn't take the hint and step closer to him

"Please Daniel! Whatever you want just delete the video!"she said going emotional,a tear escaped her eyes and that melted Daniel's heart.

He draw her closer to himself wiping away the tears,he wasn't aware of what he is doing. He rub her cheek soothingly and Monica closed her eyes enjoying the sensual feeling. The world around them evaporated before a shrieking sound of a ringing phone pull them apart.

Monica swallowed and took her phone,her hands shaking she didn't understand what just happened and how they get to that extent

"Hello"she says after picking the call

"Where are you? I'm in your apartment"Lola said

"Be there in the next few minutes"Monica said ending the call. Awkward silence ensured and Daniel coughed,he didn't know what led him to do that too

"I will delete the video"he says scratching the back of his head

"Thank you"Monica said feeling grateful before matching out of the house.
