"Monica!" Daniel calls and Monica turn to look at him, she's already bathed clad on a new clothe, she's wearing a dark blue trouser on a multicoloured polo shirt

"Yes?"She replied

"What's wrong with you?"Daniel asked

"I'm fine seriously, I just want to see my son"Monica replied and Daniel nodded

"Our son"he corrected and Monica rolled her eyes "Lola is aware that you're here in Abuja, junior already visited her"Daniel said and Monica's heart skipped a bit

"She saw my..."looking at Daniel's change of facial expression, she corrected herself "our son?"

"Yes! She saw our son and she's dying to meet you. I think it's time you meet your family, they all miss you including your mom especially, I talked to her recently"Daniel said and Monica's eyes went wide

"You talked with my mom?"Monica asked and Daniel nodded

"Please make time for them, they're your family and they love you a lot"Daniel said and a tear escaped Monica's eyes

"It's been years!"she said

"I know but please let's take Daniel over to Lola's and then you can meet your family before going back down to port Harcourt"Daniel said and Monica nodded wiping her tears away, she can't keep on running away from her family. It doesn't make her look any good, Daniel tried hugging her but she stepped away

"Don't hug me!"Monica said giving him the evil eye

"What about us?"Daniel asked trying to hold Monica's hand but Monica slapped his hand away

"What about us?"Monica asked back

"You want to turn a blind eye on what happened yesterday's night?"Daniel asked

"Please lead the way"Monica said gulping walking away. Daniel sighed and followed her up, he opened the car door and Monica entered, Daniel entered too driving out of the enormous compound.

The ride was silent with Monica's face on the window looking out on the city while Daniel gaze was moving from the road to her, he really wants to hold her hand and tell her his feelings never change, he's just surprised on how he can keep loving someone who left him for almost eight years ago

Daniel's family house became visible and he honked on his car, the gate man rushed to open the gate for him and he drove inside the compound, he parked his car in the garage looking at Monica. Monica felt his eyes on her and turned to look at him

"We are taking Daniel from here and my mom is inside"Daniel said and Monica nodded feeling nervous "she don't hate you anymore"Daniel added and Monica looked away coming down from the car.

Daniel led the way and they entered inside the sitting room, the first person their eyes set on was junior who was busy playing with Precious and laughing out loud. Monica watched him in awe realising how much she misses him and can't do without him. Junior suddenly saw them and shouted

"Mummy!"he came over running to hug his mom, Monica's face bursted into a smile carrying her baby up

"I miss you so much Akin"Monica said and Junior smiled brightly

"I miss you too mummy"he says kissing her cheek making everyone to chuckle. Junior came down from Monica's arms and went over to hug Daniel immediately

"My big boy!"Daniel said pinching his cheeks.

Monica's eyes fell on Daniel's mom who just joined them in the sitting room and looked down, Mrs Ogechukwu came over to them

"Monica!"she called and Monica looked at her "I'm sorry"

"It's fine ma. Thanks for taking care of my... Our son"Monica said and Daniel smiled at how Monica quickly corrected herself

"I should be the one thanking you, thanks for giving him a chance to life, I really appreciated your efforts"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Monica nodded, the older woman draw her in an hug, Monica hugged her back and Daniel's joy knew no bound

"I should get us something to eat. You wouldn't mind joining me in the kitchen Monica, right?"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Monica nodded following her to the kitchen.

They started preparing the dish silently when Mrs Ogechukwu broke the silence

"Monica!"she called and Monica turn to look at her

"I'm sorry"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Monica opened her mouth to talk, Mrs Ogechukwu stopped her "I have learnt over the years that when there's love, age or whatever other factors doesn't matter, I should have supported my son when he choose you but I was a bad mother, I'm sorry for all the pain I have caused you please forgive me"

"It's fine ma seriously. It's something of the past and I harbour no ill feelings towards you. I perfectly understood what you did, you only want the best for your son and you're not a bad mother"Monica said and Mrs Ogechukwu smiled

"Are you two back together!"Mrs Ogechukwu asked

"No we are not, I only came down to see junior"Monica says

"You should reconsider him please, Daniel still loves you and it's quite obvious. He haven't been able to let go of you after all those years"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Monica snorted internally, was she talking about same person that she saw a lady texting him for sexual pleasures

"Ma'am you're wrong"Monica says smiling

"I'm not dear, I'm sure my son wants you back"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Monica nodded, she's not ready to start arguing.

After spending almost two hours with Daniel's family, she found that they're cool and very easy to relate with. She left with Daniel and junior going over to Lola's. Monica was nervous throughout and Daniel can see it but he decided to ignore.

The car ignition came to an end and they came out of the car, Daniel led the way inside, Monica was anxious and scared of meeting Lola. Monica saw two fair in complexion kids running around the house, the female stopped running when her eyes set on Junior

"Akin is here"Elizabeth said

"Eliza!"Junior says and went over to hug her, Monica smile at this and suddenly her eyes moved up to see someone she haven't seen for years

"Monica!"Lola called her eyes going wide

"You got fat!"This was the first words that left Monica's mouth. She can't believe Lola that use to be very slim got this plump and her eyes landed on her stomach "you're pregnant too"

"Oh my God! Monica!"Lola cried and went over to hug her, Monica wrapped her hand around her immediately "it's been years!"

"You changed a lot, you got fat and you're pregnant too. Oh my God it's been years!"Monica said genuinely happy

"Elizabeth! Ezekiel! Come and greet Aunt Monica!"Lola called on her kids and Monica's eyes went wide, she hugged them immediately

"Wow! You gave birth to twins. You have a beautiful babies right here, how old are they?"Monica asked

"They will be six in three months time"Lola replied and Monica went to hug Lola again

"Wow! I really miss you Lola"

"I miss you more. Look at your son, so handsome. I'm so glad you didn't take on the decision on aborting him, he looks so much like his father"Lola said and Monica smile

"He didn't wanna take after my face" Monica said and Daniel wrapped her hands around her

"He took after me cause I have more good looks than you"Daniel said and Monica tried disentangling herself from him, Lola chuckled at this

"Joel have been busy with work. I'm sure he's happy to see you too"Lola said and Monica nodded, the door opened revealing a very tired looking Jake

"Monica!"Jake called and Monica smile at him, she remembered how he dropped her at her apartment before she ran away, she went over to hug him "how have you been?"

"Been fine, what about you?"Monica asked

"I'm fine, it's good to have you back"Jake said and Monica nodded

"Let's get in the kitchen, you have a lot to gist me about"Lola said and Monica nodded following her to the kitchen

"You banged her!"Jake said as soon as the two left narrowing his eyes at Daniel, Daniel chuckled

"We are making another baby"Daniel said and Jake snorted

"You wish! I'm sure She won't let you back into her life"Jake said and Daniel bursted into laughter

"Trust me Jacob, we are having another son soon"Daniel said patting Jacob's back "least I forget I saw Tolani's post on Instagram, it seems she's not head over heels for you anymore"

"You mean?"Jake asked looking slightly angry

"I saw her picture with this fine dude, it obvious they're in a relationship"Daniel says walking away. He knew he just got his friend restless

"I'm so sorry Monica! I realise how much of a bad friend I was"Lola said and Monica smiled

"It's fine Lola, I'm so happy for you. You got two amazing kids and life have been good"Monica said and Lola smiled

"I really missed you so much"

"Same here, how's everyone, my mom. My aunts, Sarah and everyone?"Monica asked and Lola chuckled

"Christian wife gave birth to triplet, three boys and lost his wife"Lola said and Monica covered her mouth up immediately, she remembered the good looking girl that her brother brought for introduction, she can't believe she's gone "he remarried two years back, his new wife gave birth to a fine little princess. You will be surprised Monica how she looks so much like you"

"Wow! I can't believe Christian lost his wife, what about Raphael?"Monica asked

"He's fine and not ready to settle down, Jide will be getting married soon. He recently proposed to his girlfriend, your mom and aunts are okay, your dad is not feeling fine for a year now"Lola says

"What's wrong with my dad?"Monica asked

"He has cancer of the throat, you need to see him. It haven't been easy for the family, Tolani just came back from Canada, she had a scholarship that took her there. Juliet got married to this old man and have a son now, Boluwatife currently reading radiology in University of Ibadan"

"Wow!  A lot really changed, I'm scare for my dad seriously. When did this happened?"Monica asked

"Over a year now"Lola replied shrugging

"You haven't mention one person"Monica said and Lola look at her "how's Sarah?"

"I don't know, I haven't been talking to her for like a year now, Sarah really became a tyrant and got in a relationship with Fred"

"Which Fred?"Monica asked her eyes going wide

"The same man that broke my heart, they had a daughter too. And I'm sure they're not together anymore, she's always travelling around with her baby"Lola said and Monica became speechless

"I need to see her"Monica says

"I can give you her contact that's if she haven't changed her line"Lola says

"I can't believe all this, what did my mom say?"Monica asked

"She tried stopping her but she was hell-bent on going on with Fred, I heard they had a bad break up and also we are totally cool now. The only thing is we don't talk like the way we do before" Lola said and Monica became quiet throughout, she was lost of word and knows she had missed a lot from her family.

They finished eating and Monica went inside to use the bathroom, coming out of the room Daniel blocked  her, she hits her back on the wall while Daniel caged her in between the wall

"Is this what was wrong with you this morning?"Daniel asked showing her the message in his phone

"Can you move?"Monica asked

"Nope! Not until you answer my question"Daniel says

"Stop being childish"Monica says

"You're the one being childish here"Daniel said kissing her earlobe, Monica involuntarily wrapped her hands on his waist

"You're jealous Monica and I love the fact you're"Daniel whispered on her ears
