Lola looked worn out and tired, she sighed repeatedly taking her phone to call Joel, it rang severally without him picking up, Joel have been giving her the cold shoulders. She decided to text him

I'm bleeding, no one's here to help me. I fell on the bathroom floor

She sent to Joel and within a minute her phone started ringing, she smiled triumphantly at least Joel is not has hard as he played out to be, she smiled taking the call

"What happened?! What's wrong?! Is it that serious?!"Joel bombarded her with questions

"Just come!"Lola use her weakest voice

"I'm on my way right now, just please don't loose consciousness okay. I love you"Joel said sounding seriously worried

"I love you"Lola said before the call came to an end. Lola snorted happily waiting for Joel to come over to her apartment. She started pacing around impatiently when she heard a honk, she smiled fully knowing it's Joel. The door suddenly bursted open and Joel entered in a defending pose. He slowly relaxed his body after his eyes landed on pacing Lola

"I thought you said you're bleeding?"Joel asked frowning. He hates the fact he was easily tricked by Lola

"I need your help"Lola said breathlessly "you weren't picking my calls"

"Of course I wouldn't pick your calls till you learn to change"Joel says frowning "you made me leave in the middle of checking my patients"

"Will you forgive me?"Lola asked

"I won't forgive you Lola till you learn how to change, you need to change that aspect of you seriously"Joel said and Lola sighed

"You don't even call me Lola, where the heck did Katerina went to?!"Lola asked breathlessly

"She went away the moment she's start behaving like someone I don't know"Joel said and Lola sighed tapping her forehead repeatedly

"I'm sorry"she took a step closer to Joel "I just realise my mistake, it almost cost me Monica"Lola said quietly and Joel's eyes went wide

"What happened to her?"Joel asked

"She's been missing for a week now"Lola replied and Joel's eyes went wider

"Damn! What happened?! Any clues?"Joel asked sounding worried

"No clues yet, I'm scared Joel"Lola said breaking into tears "what if I never see her? What if I never get the opportunity to apologize to her for abandoning her the time she needs me the most? Oh my God! I just realized how much of a bad friend I am, Monica was there for me in my worst days"Lola said breaking into heavy cries

"It's okay"Joel said drawing her closer to himself, he hugged her slowly patting her back while Lola let out her emotions, she cried raw not minding someone is there to watch her "the most important thing right now is to find her, who do you think that can be of help?"

"Daniel!"Lola said acting like a scientist who just found a solution to a problem "he's the one that can help us"

"Good! You should contact him"Joel said and Lola nodded frankly searching for her phone, she saw her phone laying on one of the sofas and took it dialling Daniel's contact immediately

"Hello"Lola heard Daniel's voice after picking the call

"Daniel!"Lola said breathlessly "we need to look for Monica, I'm getting scared"she says her worries voicing out in her tone

"Where are you?"Daniel asked

"I'm my house"Lola said

"I'm coming over"Daniel said and Lola ended the call. Lola turn to look at Joel who gave her an expectation look

"What did he say?"Joel asked impatiently

"He said he is coming over"Lola said closing her eyes. She felt Joel standing at her back slowly massaging her shoulder, her shoulders sagged relaxing. "Thank you" she breathe out, few minutes later Joel stopped turning her around to give her a simple kiss on the lips

They suddenly heard a knock on the door, Joel went to get the door, Daniel and Jacob went inside.

"Lil cousin!"Joel said smiling at Jacob who smiled back at him

"Bro!"Jake said giving him a manly hand shake. Daniel and Joel exchange a short greeting before making their way to meet Lola, they sat on the sofa

"What should I get you both?"Lola asked

"We are fine"Daniel and Jake said simultaneously

"Okay.... So about Monica"Lola said looking at Joel who gave her an assuring smile "do you suspect anyone that could have abducted her?"

"Well..."Daniel licks his lips "I suspect my parents, I confronted them about it but they denied"

"Hmm, I don't even know what to think anymore"Lola said sighing

"What about Bianca? She's a suspect too"Jake said shrugging and everyone's eyes landed on Daniel who only shrugged

"Did you confront her about this too?"Joel asked

"No I didn't, Bianca is all bark without bite. I had known her for long"Daniel said and Jake rolled his eyes

"You can never say you know"Jake said

"It's true"Joel said

"We have to be sure about whatever we decide on before taking steps"Lola said and they nodded.

"You have to talk to that Bianca"Jake said and Lola's phone started ringing

"It's Sarah!"she said and everyone went quiet

"Please let me go!"Monica plead, she feels so weak barely able to lift her fingers

"Will you keep shut! It's like you have a lot of energy to disturb, we will make sure to keep you quiet forever if you don't shut up" One of the kidnappers said and hot tears left Monica's eyes, she only wishes someone could come and save her, if only she had known, she would have stayed far away from Daniel as far as possible.

"You need my help?"Jide asked his brow quirking

"I seriously need your help please"Sarah said sitting down on the floor, Juliet repeated the same thing

"What is it?"Jide asked sitting up in his bed

"It's like I might know where Monica is and it might be my fault"Sarah said and Jide's brow quirk

"Tell me all you know"Jide said and Sarah started telling them about everything that happened since she met Daniel, Jide didn't for once interrupt her, he listened carefully while Sarah did the talking

"First of all I didn't expect that from you, that's too low of you"Jide said trying to control his anger, Sarah's face fell immediately and she starts playing with her fingers, she can't lie. She regretted all she has done

"What should I do?"Sarah asked wiping a lone tear that escaped her eyes, she's not use to be kept on her place or harsh time being used on her and also receiving those for more than once in one night is enough to get her crying

"We have to save sister Monica!"Juliet said looking scared, Jide scratched his head before giving them a sinister smile

" You have the lady's contact?"Jide asked

"Yes"Sarah replied

"Call her! Tell her you wanted to ask about the latest update and use whatever style you can use to talk to her to know if she kidnapped Moni"Jide said and Sarah nodded

"But the time is gone, what about tomorrow?"Sarah asked

"Tomorrow is good"Jide replied. Sarah and Juliet stood up deciding on going back to their room "wait behind Sarah, I have a lot to tell you"Jide said and Juliet look between Sarah and Jide before walking away

"What is it?"Sarah asked

"You need someone to teach you what you don't know, sit down"Jide said leaving no room for arguement, Sarah knew she's about getting a hell lot of lecture from Jide, she sat down on the floor immediately

Waking up in the morning and finished performing her chores, everywhere was unusual quiet, she haven't set her eyes on her mom or dad neither have she seen Aunt Miriam and Victoria

"Boluwatife!"she called aunt Victoria's last born

"Yes sister Sarah"Boluwatife replied stepping closer to Sarah

"Where's everybody?"Sarah asked, by asking about where is everybody Boluwatife knew Sarah is asking about the elders in the house

"They're talking in daddy's room"Boluwatife said and Sarah nodded

She went back to the room to meet Juliet coming out of the bathroom, clad only on a white towel, she took her phone immediately dialling Bianca's contact after several rings. Bianca picked the call, she put it on speaker and record immediately. Juliet quickly came to sit-down beside her listening to the conversation

"Hey!"Sarah said in a carefree voice

"Sarah! How are you?"Bianca asked

"I'm fine, how's everyone?"Sarah asked

"They're all fine, what's up?"Bianca asked

"I'm good, I just wanted to ask if Monica isn't giving you headache anymore"Sarah said chuckling trying to sound convincing where as she's anxious inside

"Oh that imbecile!"Bianca said with so much hatred "Daniel kept on following her around and I kidnapped her, my men are dealing with her now who knows she might die anytime soon it's not like I care"Bianca said and Juliet covered up her mouth with her hand immediately, her eyes going wide while looking at Sarah who feels like fainting

"That's good at least don't kill her you don't want to get your hands stained with blood you know, just teach her a lesson to leave your man alone"Sarah said chuckling, while a tear escaped her eyes, her heart busy beating erratically rendering incoherent prayers to God

"I don't care about staining my hands Sarah, she should just pray I don't decide on that anytime soon. I know you're calling because of your balance"Bianca said laughing

"Yeah of course, I kept to my own side of the bargain!"Sarah said laughing along

"Okay well... I will send it to you, thank you so much Sarah. I wouldn't have been able to do this without your help"Bianca said sincerely

"You're welcome dear"Sarah said and the call came to an end

"We need to show this to Jide right now!"Juliet said and they rushed out of the room barging on Jide's room, Jide frowned slightly

"You could have knocked"Jide said "you! why are you only on towel in my room"Jide asked after his eyes landed on Juliet, Juliet became self conscious immediately and went back to her room, she changed into the first clothe she see which is a short gown and rushed back to Jide's room

"You have to listen to this"Sarah said and Juliet nodded. Sarah played the recording to Jide. He's eyes went wide immediately it came to an end

"This is serious and we have to show this to your dad"Jide said and Sarah nodded frankly. The trio left the room and knocked on Mr Korede's door.

"Come in!"they heard his voice and Jide opened the door entering the room before the rest did.

"What's it?"Mr Korede asked

"I have something to share with you sir and please before y'all get angry at Sarah, we should consider saving Monica first"Jide said and the elders looked at eachother "play the record"Jide said and Sarah did her hands shaking

Everyone listened to the record attentively without even making a sound, the record came to an end and all eyes fell on Mr Korede, they looked worried especially Monica's mom, she already started crying

"We are going to Abuja"Mr Korede said "before that Jumoke! I need you to explain to me the meaning of what's going on"
