Sarah made herself comfortable in the sofa, Monica went inside to get her Fanta. She muttered a thank you and Monica took a sit

"Are you dieting?"Sarah asked

"No why do you ask?"Monica asked

"You got lean and ugly"Sarah murmured the last part and Monica couldn't hear her

"I don't know"Monica said shrugging, she hugged the pillow nearest to her taking the decoder's remote

"I will be going down to Lagos next week, before going back to school"Sarah said and Monica nodded gulping before speaking

"I need your help"Monica said and Sarah quirk her right brow

"What is it?"she asked

"I need your help with Lola. I'm sure she must have told you what happened" Monica said her gaze on the floor, she suddenly become self conscious and shy at thesame time. Shame was really eating her up

"Oh she did. I couldn't even believe it too when you're busy denying it before"Sarah said in not so friendly manner, Monica winced

"Well..."Monica licks her lips "help me beg Lola to forgive me, I know what I did is not befitting of me but please she should stop ignoring me and my calls"Monica said playing with her fingers. Sarah bursted into laughter

"I should help you?"Sarah asked and Monica shot her a look looking confused

"Yes please, I really need your help"Monica replied

"I can't help you Monica!"Sarah said and Monica's eyes went wide, she's surprised with the way Sarah called her name "after everything you have done to me right from childhood, you deserve to suffer too if not more than this"

"What did I do to you?"Monica asked looking confused "what have I ever done to you? I don't remember doing anything wrong to you"

"How they easily forget what they do to people"Sarah said chuckling angrily "you do remember Dayo right?"Sarah asked and Monica cracked her brain before the name registered

"Of course I remember, what do Dayo have to do with these?"Monica asked

"Dayo was my first crush! my first love! I was so stupid thinking I have an elder sister telling you about it only for him to start chasing you"Sarah said and Monica watched Sarah unbelievably. Dayo have been their childhood friend, Monica was fourteen years then and Sarah eight years,Dayo is thesame age with Monica. When Sarah told Monica she has a crush on Dayo, Monica laughed about it telling her her Prince charming will come soon. Monica told Dayo her younger sister has a crush on him, Dayo laughed about it waving it off

"I didn't date Dayo, he was my good friend! Oh God! I wasn't the one that dated Dayo"Monica said

"Who did?"Sarah asked with bloodshot eyes, she looks so angry and ready to kill

"It was Lola that dated Dayo, the dating didn't even lasted up to five months before Dayo left Lagos. We never saw him again"

"I don't believe you"Sarah said and Monica sighed

"Ask Lola"Monica said exasperated

"That's not only it what about Toyin? Dele? Emma? Giddy? What about them?! I told you I have crush on all of them only for them to start following you around, what about them?!"Sarah shouted

"I swear to you I don't have anything to do with that. I didn't date any of them even though they asked me out, I didn't tell them to come after me"Monica said bursting into tears "how can you harbour hatred for me for so long?"Monica asked pulling her hair as tears fell uncontrollable from her eyes

"Then Daniel! Monica?! Argh how can you again?! I have crush on him only for him to have something to do with you again, I don't understand seriously, tell me why the guys I like are after you if you don't have anything to do with it"Sarah says bursting into tears too

"I swear I have nothing to do with it, I didn't even know you like Daniel too. Oh God! Please believe me!"Monica said crying bitterly

"I'm having my revenge now, whatever you say right now are mere words. I helped Bianca to get to you and soon you will be receiving your sack letter, I also told them after they warned you that you're still seeing Daniel. His mom took action against you, I hope you learn after this"Sarah said and Monica's eyes went wide

"Sarah?! How can you do this to me?, You just succeeded in killing me. You know how it took me to have this job, how can you do this to me?!!!"Monica said bursting into louder cries "I thought we are sisters, remember I'm the only sister you have we are meant to support and raise eachother, I have never purposely done any evil to you even though you annoy me most of the time, how can you do this to me? Where was your guilty conscience huh?! Oh God Sarah! You just succeeded in killing me"Monica said in between sobs, she cried bitterly

"I will be going"Sarah said wiping her tears away. Monica cried bitterly, her hands shaking and also busy hyperventilating. She tried controlling her breathe but she continue hiccuping, she took her phone dialling Lola's contact severally but she didn't pick the call, everywhere started getting blur, she dialled Daniel's contact. She saw the phone ringing before darkness eloped her sight

Waking up in an hospital bed is something no one wants to experience,Monica eyes suddenly opens and could see the white ceiling, the smell of disinfectant is enough to tell her she's in an hospital. She saw a nurse in her room checking her blood pressure.

"Nurse!"she called with her hoarse voice. The nurse turn to look at her immediately "water"she said and the nurse nodded in understanding giving her a cup of water she fetched from the table water beside her bed

"How are you feeling?"the nurse asked

"I'm fine"she replied after taking the water sitting down. The door suddenly opened revealing the doctor

"Who do we have here"the doctor said smiling "how are you feeling now?"he asked

"I'm fine sir"Monica replied

"You should take care of yourself more dear, you shouldn't risk the health of a growing baby. Your baby is really growing healthily"The doctor said and Monica forced a smile

"Who brought me here?"Monica asked

"A gentle man"The doctor says

"His name is Daniel"the nurse replied and Monica's heart skipped

"Hope you didn't tell him I'm pregnant?"Monica asked

"No..."Monica cut the doctor short

"Thank you doctor, I don't want him finding out"Monica says

"Okay... We will keep that confidential"

"Can I go home now?"Monica asked standing up

"I have to run some tests on you first"The doctor said and the door suddenly opened revealing Daniel with a polythene bag. The nurse and doctor excused them

"You got me so worried, what happened to you?"Daniel asked sitting on the bed

"How did you know?"Monica asked ignoring his question

"You called me and I picked the call, you weren't talking and I got scared. Thank God I followed my instinct and came over only to meet you on the floor already fainted, I have to rush you to the hospital"Daniel says

"You carried me?"Monica asked

"Of course I did"Daniel says

"Thank you"Monica said and Daniel sighed "where's my phone?"she asked

"Here!"Daniel pull it out of his jeans trouser handing it over to her. She went through her call log expecting to meet Lola's missed calls but she didn't find one, she gulped fighting the threatening tears, Lola really hurt her and she can't believe she can ever do something like this to her

"What's wrong with you?"Daniel asked

"Nothing"Monica replied forcing a smile "I should get discharge I want to go home"Monica said and Daniel nodded

Sarah wasn't feeling comfortable at all, she feels fulfilled and bitter at thesame time. She stood up from her bed and went to have a cool shower. Her mind wandering around Monica, she sighed wearing a black ripped jeans and an handless button up multicoloured shirt.

She went to the sitting room to meet Lola watching a movie in the television,Lola was clad in a night wear

"Big sis!"Sarah called and Lola smiled at her

"What is it?"Lola asked

"Well..."Sarah licks her lips sitting down on one of the sofas "have you talked with my sister?"she asked

"No. She called today but I didn't pick, what's up?"Lola asked

"Nothing!"Sarah replied shrugging facing the television. She would have loved it if Lola had talked with Monica, she's getting slightly worried and she don't like the fact she's worried

"I'm going out, I don't think I will come back today"Sarah suddenly said standing up. She isn't comfortable at all

"Where to?"Lola asked

"To a friend's place"Sarah replied grabbing her phone and her purse before walking out. She was walking on the street without any direction, thinking of what to do. Her mind wasn't at rest at all remembering what her mom once told them

"I'm glad to have the four of you. I want the four of you to always love and support eachother, help eachother always. Don't do anything that could cause harm to any of you"their mom said looking at her four children "Christian take Raphael as your best friend and brother. Monica take Sarah as your best friend and sister too. I shouldn't never hear that you hurt eachother wether I'm alive or not please"

"Of course mom we love each other, we also got eachother"Christian said laughing, Raphael who heard his elder brother laugh giggles going over to seat beside him

"We love eachother and I love Sarah most"Monica said playing with Sarah's hair. Sarah pouted trying to arrange her hair

"That's good my children. Now you're just kids time shall come and you will grow up facing difficulty, your siblings might annoy you or do something you don't expect, you shouldn't hate them because of that"Their mom said and they nodded

"Dayo is here!"They heard Lola whispered and Sarah stood up immediately running out of the room to meet Dayo

"Silly girl"Their mother said and they bursted into laughter

Sarah didn't know when she started crying, a booming sound draw her and she turn around to see a club at the other side of the road. She doesn't even know where she's currently in, she crossed the road to the other side watching the front of the club warily. She haven't been to a club before though she do eavesdrop whenever Lola and Monica comes back from school gisting about the club they went to, she had always wanted to go to one but she had never had enough encourage to, maybe it's the home training she got, she just couldn't place a name on it

Her legs involuntarily dragged her inside the club, she watched everyone warily, she almost covered her ears with her hands as the booming music was affecting her. She turn around looking at all the familiar faces before she landed in the bar. She took a seat sitting down.

The bartender smiled at her and she tried returning it

"What do you want?"The bartender asked

"Do you have malt or coke? Any soft drink?"Sarah asked and she suddenly heard a voice chuckling beside her

"A malt in the club really?"the voice said and she turn around to see it was Fred

"You again? Psycho!"Sarah said and Fred bursted into laughter

"Give her something not too strong"Fred said and the bartender nodded. Sarah watched him warily, she snorted and found herself smiling
