The lecturer's lodge is everything and more Lola thought of. She helped Monica to pack her things to the lodge, the floor was tiled with dark red tiles,the wall painted with two colours. The upper side is cream and the lower side is coloured lilac,Lola place her hand on the wall feeling it and found out its oil paint

"The sitting room looks amazing"Lola said and Monica gave her the 'I know right' look

"You have to see the room,it's wide"Monica said and they went inside the empty room,the floor is tiled with thesame tiles as the sitting room but the room was coloured on purely cream,it was done with ordinary paint

"The room is wide"Lola agreed too "let's see the restroom"

The room had two doors one that led inside the room and the other that led straight to the rest room,the toilet and bathroom were merge together. The floor and wall was tiled purely white,the white closet look so clean like it hasn't been used before, there's shower and tap in the bathroom with a beautiful basin. The bathroom is wide enough to fit in three people

"This people try o"Lola teased and Monica laughed

"The apartment looks cool, wait let me add life to it soon"Monica said gushing at her new apartment

"I thought you said you will move over to my place soon"Lola said giving her the teasing look

"Shey ma no get my place too ehh"Monica asked standing akimbo making Lola to burst into laughter

"I already predicted this anyways"Lola said shaking her head.

Lola helped her arrange her things though Monica had tried buying some few things before the week ran out.

"All good and done, I should prepare you food that last a life time"Lola said and Monica gave her the baby face

"I'm so going to miss your food,I'm going to miss waking up and meeting breakfast already prepared"Monica said and Lola gave her the dirty look

"Don't go and learn how to cook well,you might marry anytime soon"Lola said and Monica chuckled

"When I don't have a man I'm in relationship with? Forget marriage o! It left my mind the moment Michael decided to call everything off"Monica said slumping on her bed

"You have to forget about Michael,at least he didn't go as much as disgracing you to the world,forget about him"Lola said doing thesame thing by sitting beside Monica

"As if it's simple? Have you forgotten about Fred?"Monica asked slightly annoyed. She hate the fact how everyone asked her to forget about Michael after everything that happened between them.

He was her first love,her first boyfriend,he took away her virginity and she remembered vividly how she once did an abortion for him,she had done everything he asked and now she feels stupid. How can she forget such person just like that.

"Hey! Monica! I'm just trying to make you feel better"Lola who knows Monica and knows she getting riled up said

"Then don't!"Monica snapped standing up rubbing her hands all over her face. That feeling, that feeling she hates so much is pulling her in again. She groan falling on the bed

"Monica!"Lola said getting worried. She should have known better,Michael is a sore topic to her

"I was so stupid!"Monica said breaking into sob making Lola to momentarily hate herself "I did everything he asked of me,when he wanted to take my virginity I gave myself to him without arguing,when he asked me to abort the pregnancy I did it without hesitation,I remembered how I bled I almost died thinking he worth it but he worth nothing,he worth nothing!"She yelled

Lola grab her immediately pulling her into a bone crushing hug, she's just like her cousin sister broken yet with an happy facade,Monica sob loudly making Lola to remember her time with Fred,how they started their relationship when they met at law school. How he lied about she's the only one for him,how she always tried to please him and now everything burning to ashes,she didn't know she's crying she didn't know when the tears fell and then she joined her cousin sister who's literally her best friend and cried her eyes out. They faced each other wailing crying their guilts and regrets out before sleep finally engulfed them

Lola felt something heavy in her hand and slowly open her eyes,the room got darker and she saw Monica's legs on top her hand. She smiled and carefully removed them,she wondered if Monica will ever change her sleeping habits,it all started right from childhood

She stood up from the bed and helped Monica in the right position,Monica only stirred on her sleep ignorant of what's going on. Lola stood up heading to the kitchen.

The kitchen floor was tiled with sky-blue tiles but the wall were tiled white,the kitchen is classy and cozy on its on way. Lola arrange the stuff she needed to prepare dinner for them. They haven't really arrange the kitchen and luckily for them they bought some food stuffs earlier in the day.

Monica stirred on her sleep her eyes betraying her tired body opening itself up,she groan and felt pain on her throat,she had cried so much and now it's weighing on her body. She pushed her self up and went to the bathroom to wash her face and the drool away,on coming out of her room she sniff a very nice aroma

She hasten her steps to the kitchen and met Lola preparing dinner for them

"Jollof rice"she stated and Lola nodded

"How do you feel now?"Lola asked and Monica's mind took her back to what happened in the room and laughed. It felt like Lola had thesame thought and joined her laughing

"What a way of welcoming a new home"Lola commented and Monica nodded

"I feel so light like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders,do you?"Monica asked and Lola grinned

"You just made me remember something"Lola said smiling mischievously confusing Monica

"Pray tell what's that?"Monica asked

"We are clubbing tonight!"Lola yelled and Monica groaned

"Oh no! Don't do that!"Monica said and Lola giggled

"Of course I will so all you have to do is eat jollof rice,dress up, go to the club,drink a little go to the restroom hold your hair while you vomit your guts out"Lola said rubbing her hands together and Monica rolled her eyes 'so much for a lawyer'

"You got ways with words"Monica said when Lola turn back turning the rice on fire

"Anything for you baby"Lola replied turning around to send an air kiss to L
Monica who only giggled at her cousin's childishness

They ate their dinner and went to the bathroom to have a shower,Monica wore a short black gown that fitted her body like a second skin,the gown stopped above her knee the neck of the gown cutted in V shape showing enough cleavage but not too much

They took a cab that took them to Lola's apartment,Lola changed to a dark pink long gown that slitted at the front right to the middle of her thigh. They applied make up than usual giggling before the leaving the house.

They stopped at the club and went right in after the bouncer checked their ID card to ensure they're matured enough,Monica rolled her eyes at this and they entered the club welcomed with a deafening music. It felt like deja vu all over again,Monica spent a millisecond reminiscing the good days at the university,she remembered how she and Lola went wild at the university of Port Harcourt.

Lola grabbed her hand and made their way to the bar,they ordered for a drink,Monica decided to go slow she didn't want to get drunk

"You can actually find yourself a pretty man tonight!"Lola yelled over the music

"I'm here to have a good time not to find a man"Monica yelled making Lola to giggle,Lola took a huge gulp from her drink

"When last did you get laid?"Lola shouted and Monica groan looking else where making Lola to giggle "at least I got laid this year before the whole fiasco went down!"Lola yelled again and Monica thought about the last time she got laid,it's been three years and now she's practically a virgin again

Monica took another sip from her drink but Lola was already on her third drink,Monica sensed something is up. Lola is always good at hiding what she feels but Monica knew too well she isn't herself

"Let's dance! It's Timaya's song!"Monica yelled at Lola who giggled standing up. Monica wanted to stop her from drinking again.

They push themselves through the crowd and found their spot,they started dancing, twerking and doing all such of funny things. The moment was so good that it took their mind off things

"I will go to the rest room"Lola said and Monica got worried

"Should I follow you?"she asked

"I'm fine! Keep dancing"Lola replied sauntering away. Monica started dancing alone when she saw someone standing next to her trying to dance with her

"I pass"she said. She wasn't really keen on getting involved with anybody

"You got a nice shape lady, a beautiful girl like you shouldn't be left all alone"the man who wasn't taking the hint said pissing Monica up. Luckily for Monica Lola came back shoving the man away who raise his hands up in surrender before walking away. Monica lost the dancing spirit in her and went back to the bar to grab a drink though her eyes practically trained on Lola,she didn't want to loose her. Soon enough she saw someone whispering on Lola's ear and she giggled like an high school girl before they started dancing,Monica looked away ordering for a new drink

She took three sips when she heard a familiar voice chuckle beside her,she turn her head immediately almost hurting herself in the period. She saw the last person she ever thought of seeing this night and all the blood in her face drained immediately

"Fancy seeing you here"Michael her ex boyfriend said chuckling. Monica grab her glass cup with all her might almost breaking the glass cup into pieces

"I wish I can say thesame to you"she replied with so much venom and Michael laughed heartedly like she's making some kind of joke

"You didn't really change for the past three years Monica,you look hotter I can't lie"Michael said staring at her whole body blatantly without an ounce of shame. Monica got self conscious

"What do you want?"she asked regretting coming to the club. Maybe it would have been better for her if she would just had stayed at home and plan the classes she will be taking the coming week

"I just came to appreciate what I see,you look sexy"Michael bent and whispered on her ear sending goose bumps all over her body. He kissed her forehead standing up straight "we will see again,soon"he added before walking away and Monica felt sick. She became scared immediately, she wondered why Michael will just decide to show up after three fucking good years. She decided to drown herself with alcohol and ordered for more drinks her eyes way over looking out for Lola.
