Monica woke up from her sleep vomiting her guts out,she feels so weak and sat down on the floor of the bathroom heaving heavily while trying to regain her energy back, her phone started ringing and she crawl out of the bathroom to the room picking her phone,she met the caller ID is Lola

"What's up babe!"She heard Lola's cheery voice and smiled,it's obvious Lola is in a great mood

"I'm fine"Monica replied breathlessly

"You don't sound too good"Lola said and she nodded before remembering she's on phone call

"Yeah, it's like I got malaria"Monica says

"You should visit a doctor dear"Lola said her voice full of worries,Monica smiled

"Enough about me,tell me why you called"Monica said and Lola giggles

"You won't believe it, my mom likes Joel so much even Tolani,they say he looks cool and handsome,your dad is okay with him too imagine the way mummy was gushing over my brand new car,I purposely took it down to Lagos because of her"Lola said and Monica chuckled

"You're really having a great time there"Monica said and Lola smiled

"I am I won't deny it,the wedding is set to be around May,you know Christian's wedding is in two months time and we have to do it one after the other"Lola said

"It's true though. You just reminded me I need to start getting ready for Christian's wedding,I know that day is going to be a boom"Monica said and Lola bursted into laughter

"Of course,trust our family especially aunt Victoria"Lola says

"That reminds me, how's Jide? I heard his father is busy trashing for him to come over to his place"Monica said and Lola chuckled

"You know Jide is stubborn,he didn't even look bothered at all"Lola replied and Monica sighed

"Okay! We will talk later"

"Sure!"Lola said ending the call.

Monica groggily dragged herself to the bed wondering where Daniel is,sleep took her few minutes later.

Bianca sat down in Kenny's sitting room looking sad, Kenny's eyes landed on her several time and couldn't take it any longer

"Please stop"Kenny told her make up artist who stopped immediately "what's wrong with you? You don't look too good to attend this party"

"It's about Daniel I don't know what to do,I told you how I met him making out with the lady"Bianca said and Kenny sighed

"And I told you we are going to deal with this lady calm down please"Kenny said looking worried

"How can I calm down when someone else as taken what I want the most,Monica or whatever her name is I swear I will deal with her mercilessly"Bianca said

"Excuse me please"Kenny's make up artist said and they both look at her

"What is it?"Bianca asked in not so friendly manner

"I know this lady you're talking about"the make up artist said and everywhere went silent

"What's your name?"Bianca asked

"My name is Sarah"Sarah replied smirking,she felt this is an opportunity to deal with her sister for always stealing her spotlight

"How do you know the person I'm talking about?"Bianca asked giving her all her interest

"Well... I know Daniel is the son of the CEO of Oge and Sons industrial enterprises,he is still going to school and he is in his final year and I know Monica. She's a lecturer,she lectures Daniel"Sarah said shrugging. Bianca and Kenny's eyes went wide

"Don't tell me she's in my school!"Bianca said angrily "so she is even closer than I thought"

"Tell us more about her don't worry I will pay you double or triple for the make up"Kenny said and Sarah smiled

"She is staying in the school lodge,she's older than Daniel too"Sarah said

"It's obvious she's older than Daniel if she's a lecturer"Bianca said smiling "now I got a lead"

"Of course you do"Kenny said smiling "thank you so much Sarah for this precious information,I'm going to be needing you and I promise you to pay you lots of money"

"Mummy! Daniel is really breaking my heart,I found out this lady is older than him,she's his Lecturer"Bianca said and Mrs Ogechukwu groan

"What is wrong with Daniel?! We have already start sharing the wedding card and he thinks that's the right time to play around!"Mrs Ogechukwu said clearly angry. She grabbed her phone immediately dialling Daniel's contact

"Hello mummy!"Daniel's says after picking the call up

"I want to see you right now"Mrs Ogechukwu said with a commanding tone

"Mom I am..."Mrs Ogechukwu cut him short

"I don't care about whatever you're doing,come straight away!"Mrs Ogechukwu said ending the call

"What nonsense! I thought the university is disciplined how come a lecturer can have an affair with a student!"Mrs Ogechukwu said angrily and Bianca smiled,this is all she needs

"I don't know how it happened, I'm sure if the VC is aware of this she won't let it go just like that"Bianca said and Mrs Ogechukwu nodded

"I know the VC,she's a good friend of mine. I will talk to her after taking the necessary steps"Mrs Ogechukwu said and Bianca smiled widely, at least she's winning.

Sitting down at the receptionist area of the hospital,she waited for her test result,Monica is not feeling too good and she thought she has either malaria or typhoid,she visited the doctors who conducted a test on her and ask her to wait for her result. Her phone suddenly start ringing

"Hello dear!"she says as soon as she picks the call up

"Babieeee....."Lola dragged dramatically making Monica to chuckle "I'm back home"

"I will come over soon!"Monica says

"I will be waiting for you"Lola replied and the call came to an end

"Miss Korede Monica Wunmi!"she heard her name being called and went inside the consulting room,the doctor smiled at her as soon as she entered the room,she sat down on one  of the chairs

"Your result is out"The doctor said and Monica nodded "the result showed you have malaria,you're exposing yourself too much to mosquitoes"

"I thought as much,I don't need to be admitted right?"Monica asked

"No you don't need to,I will just prescribe the drugs you need to use and please make sure you use them so that you won't risk the health of the foetus"The doctor said and Monica got confused

"Foetus? What do you mean by that?"Monica asked her heart beating erratically almost coming out of its ribcage

"You're eight weeks pregnant, congratulations Miss. I'm sure you have start experiencing the early signs of pregnancy"The doctor said and Monica felt her head spinning,she grabbed the table immediately to balance herself. How can she be pregnant for eight weeks without her knowing

"Eight weeks?"she asked her eyes glistening,she thought she was careful using pills and her menstruation never stopped,how come she's pregnant

"Yes my dear"the doctor replied

"I can't be pregnant,I'm on pills and my menstruation always come on time"Monica said and the doctor chuckled

"The blood you're seeing is not menstruation,it's implantation bleeding"the doctor said and Monica's hand started shaking

"The pills?"she asked

"It happens, birth controls might fail anyone at a certain point in time"The doctor said and Monica nodded

"Thank you doctor"she said and stood up,she left the hospital feeling drained. She slowly went back to her apartment and fell on the floor crying heavily. How can she be reckless again and get pregnant? Even though Daniel confessed his love for her she's sure he is not ready to be a father neither is she ready to be a mother. Abortion is not even in her list too, after what happened to her before she swore never to try abortion ever again.

Hearing the sound of a knock in her door, her eyes slowly opened and she saw everywhere was bright,she didn't know how she fell asleep only to wake up to meet another day,she yawn standing up from the floor and went over to open the door,she met Daniel standing and smiled wearily

"Babe!"Daniel said engulfing her in an hug "you weren't picking up my calls"

"I was sleeping"Monica replied walking inside the sitting room,Daniel close the door and went over to meet her

"What's wrong with you?"Daniel asked. Monica contemplated on telling him she's pregnant but kicked against the idea,she's too scared to let him know yet and she has to make a tough decision on that one

"I'm fine"she replied smiling warily

"Okay"Daniel said smiling buying what she said "I just came down from my dad's house"Daniel said and Monica's throat went dry immediately

"Okay..."Monica replied she's not really sure on how to reply to that

"Mom was on my neck because of Bianca"Daniel said chuckling only making Monica feel much more uncomfortable,Daniel noticed this and his face fell immediately,he grabbed her hand drawing her closer to himself

"You shouldn't be like this,I will choose you over and over again over anyone,I just want you to always remain by my side"Daniel said and Monica got emotional,she blamed it on the pregnancy

"I don't want this type of life for you"Monica said and Daniel smiled warily "your parents and you not being in thesame terms"

"They will come around"Daniel says and Monica nodded no sighing

"When did you fall for me?"Monica asked

"I don't know but I do know the last thing I want is you not by my side"Daniel said and Monica look away contemplating on telling him she's pregnant "look at me"Daniel commanded and she obeyed

"I love you alright? That's all that matters"Daniel said and Monica nodded tears falling freely from her eyes,Daniel landed a kiss on her mouth and the door suddenly opened. They took few steps away from eachother immediately

Monica saw Lola on the door and winced,she prayed Lola didn't see her kissing Daniel

"Hi"she greeted awkwardly trying to break the silence

"Hi"Lola's voice sounds faint

"I will see you later"Daniel said walking out of the house,Lola watch him walk away before her eyes landed on Monica again.

"Lola!"Monica called

"Are you sleeping with Daniel?"Lola asked dropping her bag

"Lola!"Monica said again wincing

"Don't Lola me and just say the truth!"Lola yelled angrily

"I... Ye.... I.... Uhm...."Monica couldn't form a whole sentence

"You're sleeping with him"Lola said her eyes going wide "where's your sense of reasoning? Oh God! Monica! I never expect something like this from you"Lola said angrily and Monica bursted into tears

"Where is your shame? Daniel has a fiance and the truth is even if you think of ending up with him which is disgusting it will never happen,I thought you're wise"Lola said shaking her head

"Lola you won't understand! It's not how it seems"Monica said crying profusely

"How does it seem? Huh?! Answer me!"Lola yelled at her

"Calm down please!"Monica said still crying, she was already planning on telling Lola her mistake and how she got pregnant but she can't do that anymore when Lola is busy judging her,she's sad and disappointed at thesame time though she understands she's angry

"You really disappointed me Wunmi! I never expected something like this from you"Lola said before barging out of her apartment. She fell on the floor crying bitterly

What am I to do with this pregnancy?
