Stepping out of the car, a feeling of nostalgia hits Lola. She chuckled and Joel's eyes landed on her

"What's funny?"Joel asked

"I just got to know how much I miss home,if only you know what Monica and I did in this community when we were quite younger"Lola said giggling and Joel smiled "you don't look nervous meeting my family"Lola asked with one of her brows quirking

"Trust me I am"Joel said climbing out of the car. One look at the massive local house is enough to tell Joel it's a very loud and extended family type of house. The children where busy playing when they drove in, the play ended when their eyes landed on the beautiful car

"Sister Omolola!"Tolani shouted running out of the house,she bombarded her sister with a terrible and bone crushing hug

"Oh my God! I can't breathe, Tolani release me!"Lola said and Joel chuckled,Lola glared at him. Tolani chuckled and release her sister from the hug

"Mom told me your result is out"Lola said and Tolani nodded happily. Her WAEC result was supposed to be out since August but her school result was withheld and it was just released lucky enough for her she cleared all her papers

"Good afternoon"Tolani greeted Joel with respect

"How are you?"Joel asked smiling. He was busy enjoying the exchange between the two siblings and didn't mind he was totally ignored

"I'm fine"Tolani squeak. Lola chuckled and they walk inside the house. Lola can see her mom really prepared down for her,a lot of things had change in the sitting room. Her mom and the rest elders of the family came,she knelt down immediately greeting them. They exchanged pleasantries and welcomed Joel with open arms

"You're welcome my son. Lola told us a lot about you"Korede her uncle who is also Monica's dad said and Joel smiled

"Thank you sir"Joel replied. They were well seated in the living room after being welcomed with an enormous lunch. They talked for awhile with Joel making his intention clear he wants to marry Lola

"We have to meet your family"Korede said and they all nodded "your family and mine will meet up and talk,then we will set the date"

"And we don't want the date to be long, like asking us to give you a year time"Aunt Miriam said and they all chuckled

"Maami!"Lola said shaking her head. She can see how desperate her mom is to see her getting married

"I wasn't planning on wasting her time too, I was planning in two months time"Joel said and Korede shook his head in disagreement

"One of my child will be getting married in two months time and it won't be easy to plan two wedding at once"Korede said and they all nodded in agreement

"In four to five months time then. Around may"Joel said and Korede nodded

"Anyways that's okay,it's enough time to prepare and meeting your family is important,we can't just give you our child without knowing where she's going to,you said you're a doctor right?"Korede said and Joel nodded

"Yes sir"Joel replied and his eyes landed on Lola who was busy smiling. She appreciated the way her family welcomed Joel,they acted as if they knew him for a very long time.

Daniel watched Monica warily,any person who doesn't know the two will think he's contemplating how to murder her,he sigh and checked the time on his phone, it's after twelve and Monica is still sleeping. She's just lucky they are currently on a holiday.

"Moni! Baby! Wake-up"he tapped her gently,Monica only stir on her sleep turning to the other side

"Let me feed you"he says and Monica nodded. Daniel cut from the fried egg picking it up with a fork and place it on her mouth, the egg felt like chalk in her mouth,she chew slowly and swallows gagging,she stood up rushing into the bathroom and vomitted her stomach out,Daniel rushed inside the bathroom with her holding her hair while gently tapping her back. She finished vomiting and went back inside

"The way you vomit easily nowadays for the past two weeks,you sleep a lot too"Daniel says and Monica frown immediately

"So?"she asked

"Are you pregnant?"Daniel asked and Monica bursted into laughter

"Stop being delusional Daniel. I'm on pills,I think I might just be sick,to clear your doubts I finished my period a week ago"Monica said and Daniel nodded

"What do you want to eat now that you have succeeded in vomiting the egg I took my precious time to prepare"Daniel said and Monica smiled

"Pancakes with tomato sauce"Monica said and Daniel stared weirdly at her

"Pancakes and tomato sauce?"he asked, he wasn't sure he heard her well

"Yes, I'm craving that"Monica replied licking her lips,Daniel shrugged heading to the kitchen,Monica followed and sat on the stool watching him perform wonders. "I will do it and do it again! So it's because of her"Bianca said giving Monica a distasteful look, the her coming out of her mouth sounded like something irritating "you are acting all this weird"

"Thank God you just realised it Bianca and now get out of my apartment! I don't want to have anything to do with you"Daniel said full of anger

"Daniel! How can you do this to me! To us! Our wedding card has been printed!"Bianca said bursting into tears. Monica's head hung low immediately,she felt like she's doing something wrong. She's not supposed to be in relationship with a man that already has someone he is getting married to

"That's your doing,my parents and yours doing. I have no hands in that. I already told you I don't want this,I don't love you and you can't force me to love you"Daniel said and Bianca's wail got louder, she didn't care she looks like a kid

"So is her you love right?"Bianca asked and everywhere went silent,Monica raise up her head to see what Daniel will say. Daniel sighed before replying

"Yes I love her, I love her so much that I can't imagine a life without her"Bianca got furious and went closer to him landing an heavy slap on his face

"I promise you Daniel, you're going to regret this decision you made today. I will make sure of it"Bianca said before sauntering away

Daniel went over to Monica to help her up immediately,Monica winced and stood up locking eyes with Daniel

"I will get old first and your parents..."Daniel cut her short sighing

"God! Who said you will get old before me,I'm going to take good care of you that you will always look young,I don't care about whatever my parents say. All I need is your support,I need you by my side"Daniel said the last part in a whisper "tell me you love me too"

"I love you"Monica said breaking into a smile,Daniel bursted into laughter and Monica became confused "don't tell me you were joking about all that?"Monica asked but Daniel shook his head in disagreement calming his laughter down

"I was scared you don't feel thesame"Daniel said wrapping his hands around Monica's waist "I thought you will just slap me and tell me do I look like your mate"he draws her closer "telling me you love me is all the motivation I need Monica! You are my motivation and I promise to give you a good life, all you need to do is to trust me"Daniel says in a whisper giving her a short kiss

"I promise"Monica said and Daniel smiled wider
