Monica woke up having a dream where Daniel told her he loves her very much,she chuckled yawning. She stood up from the bed to meet herself alone in his room,she went to the bathroom and performed her morning rituals before heading to the sitting room,she could smell an aroma of a cooking food. She smiled and went over to the kitchen to meet Daniel seriously cooking

"What are you doing chef?"Monica asked standing akimbo. Daniel turn around and smiled before carrying her up,she let out a yelp and he gently placed her on the kitchen island.

"You should stop carrying me like a baby"Monica feigned annoyance and Daniel bursted into laughter

"I'm preparing us breakfast and I can't stop carrying you like a baby cause you're my baby"Daniel says giving her a simple kiss in the lips,he wanted to turn away but Monica wrapped her legs around his waist drawing him closer,she pull his shirt and landed an heavy kiss on his lips,she bit his lips and Daniel path his lips open,Monica slowly stroke his tongue before breaking away

"Early morning dose"Monica said and bursted into laughter,Daniel was in daze

"You had never kiss me that way before"Daniel said shaking his head still having the sensual aftermath feeling of the kiss

"I am a very good kisser"Monica flirt and Daniel chuckled

"Let's get your stomach filled"Daniel said and Monica nodded

They ate silently and went back to the room cuddling

"I want to cook for you"Monica said and Daniel smiled widely "I'm serious Dan! I'm getting better"Monica whined and Daniel bursted into laughter

"Dan?"he asked and Monica look away shyly, Daniel draw her closer making her to face him

"I love the nickname Moni"Daniel said and Monica smile went wider "I was planning on taking you out on a date but I wouldn't mind eating your food instead"

"That's cool"Monica clapped "what about tonight huh? Lemme show you my new acquired skills"Monica said and Daniel bursted into laughter

"New acquired skills? Or the skills I impacted in you"Daniel said and Monica rolled her eyes

"I will be going"Monica said and Daniel whined

"I love this position"Daniel says

"Is this position that will make you pass your exam right? You know the school exam is in less than a week"Monica said and Daniel nodded "don't expect me to give you extra mark,I will be looking for an opportunity to fail you"Monica added and Daniel's head lolled back breaking into laughter

"So you're this greedy,you want to put me in this school with you forever huh?!"Daniel said and Monica shook her head laughing

"I'm leaving"Monica said standing up and Daniel nodded standing up too

"Let me drive you back"Daniel said and Monica nodded no

"I'm going to Lola's apartment"Monica says

"It doesn't matter,I will drop you few blocks away"Daniel said and Monica nodded, They left the apartment and Daniel drove Monica to Lola's apartment stopping few blocks away.

Monica came down from the car waving Daniel good bye before walking to Lola's apartment,she knocked on the door and Lola came to open it,Lola doesn't look good at all and she wasn't even trying to hide it

"Hey babe!"Monica said and went over to hug her

"Hi"Lola replied forcing a smile and the main door suddenly opened revealing Sarah who is holding a polythene bag

"Hi"she said and Monica waved her "I will be going to the kitchen"Sarah said heading to the kitchen and Monica felt she's acting weird

"Did you talk with Joel again?"Monica asked and Lola gave her the bad eye

"Don't mention his name again"Lola replied rubbing her hand on her forehead,Monica raised her hands up a sign of giving up

"I will just go and help Sarah in the kitchen"Monica said and Lola nodded

"I need to take my bath anyways"Lola said and Monica left her going inside the kitchen,she met Sarah chopping carrots

"What are you preparing?"Monica asked

"Rice"Sarah replied

"Anything I can help you with?"Monica asked

"I saw you coming out of Daniel's car"Sarah said ignoring the question Monica asked

"What?!"Monica asked not believing what Sarah said

"I said I saw you coming out of Daniel's car"Sarah said and they heard Lola's voice

"Are you sure it's Monica you saw?"Lola asked not believing what Sarah said

"I came down from someone else car,how did it belongs to Daniel?"Monica asked frowning slightly getting irritated,Sarah is really getting on her nerves

"It's Daniel I saw o!"Sarah said shrugging and Monica's anger rises

"Hey! Sarah you better watch your mouth before I watch it for you,just because I speak with you freely doesn't mean we are mates and better respect where you belong to,even if you saw me on Daniel's car what's your business,I should be the one asking that kind of question if I see you on his car. Respect yourself o! Better respect yourself o before I use mouth finish you!"Monica said angrily and Lola sighed

"Sarah you heard your elder sister,she's not your mate and be careful with the way you talk to her"Lola said and Monica walked out of the kitchen angrily

"I was...."Sarah wanted to defend herself

"You're not anything, I have known you since and I know you have little respect for your elder sister"Lola said and Sarah sighed. Lola left the kitchen to talk to Monica.

Sarah chuckled at the way her sister denied what she saw,she came down from a cab after going to the market to meet Monica coming out of a car,she peaked and saw Daniel on the steering wheel.

Her sister denying it alone have gingered her to found out what's going on before leaving for school

"Monica!"Lola said and Monica glanced at her "I'm sorry for the way Sarah talked to you"

"It's fine"Monica said smiling

"Okay then!"Lola said and went to the bathroom to have her bathe. Monica suddenly heard a knock on the door and went over to open the door,she met Joel standing outside and asked her to come in

"Hi"Joel said and Monica smiled

"Hi"she says

"Where is Katerina?"he asked

"She's in the bathroom having a bath"Monica said and Joel gestured to the sofa "sure"

"Can you please tell me what's really going on, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your last conversation with her, you guys were just too loud and I'm sure she is not ready to give you a listening ear"Monica said and Joel nodded in understanding

"I knew Fred this year"Joel says

"Really?"Monica asked

"Yes, I was planning on building a very big hospital and bought a very big plot of land,some fraud wanted to steal it from me and I needed a lawyer to help me win the case I already took to court. That's where I met Fred and we became close"

"Okay"Monica said urging him to continue

"One certain day he told me about his ex Fiance that broke off with him because of what he did,I'm sure you know and I never met this lady. I met Lola later and fell in love with her only to found out she's Fred ex Fiance,I was afraid to tell her because I was scared she will end everything with me"Joel said and Monica sighed

"You shouldn't have hide anything from her"Monica said

"I was planning on telling her after making her my wife"Joel replied

"It doesn't mean. You're suppose to build strong relationship in trust"Monica said and Joel groan

"I realised how wrong I am now. Fred got to know I'm with Lola and that didn't settle well with him,that's why he is doing all this lying to Lola to separate us. He only wants her back because he's family is on his neck to get married"Joel said and Monica nodded

"How true is this?"Monica asked

"Listen"Joel says bringing out his phone,he played the call record he recorded between him and Fred

"How was it? To feel what I felt"Monica heard Fred's voice

"I didn't call you for that. I just want to tell you I will be inviting you over to our wedding,which I promise you will be happening in less than two months time"Monica heard Joel's,she heard Fred bursting into laughter

"Are you delusional or what? I'm sure she had broke off her engagement with you,that's what she's good at"Fred says

"Hope you will attend our wedding when it's time. I will be giving you the VIP invitation card"Joel says and everywhere went quiet,Monica thought the record has ended and she suddenly heard Fred's voice

"You know you can't marry her"

"Who told you I can't?"Joel asked

"Cause I'm going to destroy it. If I don't get her as my bride I repeat no man will ever do. You can save our friendship right now by ending whatever you have with her"Fred said and Joel bursted into laughter

"I will be sending the invitation card when it is ready"Joel says and the recording came to an end

"Oh my God!"Monica said covering her mouth up as soon as the record came to an end

"See Monica"Joel said licking his lips "I need your help on this,I want Lola to believe me. I want her to know I didn't play her and I never plan to"Joel said and Monica sighed

"Okay....."Monica started but Lola's voice cut her short

"Who let him in!"Lola shouted

"Katerina!"Joel said standing up

"Don't Katerina me and get out of here!"Lola yelled and Monica groan

"Please listen to me"Joel says

"I don't want to listen to whatever trash...."Monica had enough and cut her short

"Lola will you just shut up!"Monica said angrily standing up. Lola was in daze surprised at the voice Monica used on her "act like a grown up and listen to him once,I still don't know how you believe a liar like Fred, someone who never told you the truth from day one"Monica said walking away

"Hey!"Joel said quietly and Lola couldn't replied,she wasn't expecting the way Monica bursted out

"Hi"she says looking elsewhere but Joel. Joel took a step closer to her cupping her cheeks,she involuntarily look at him

"I'm so sorry babe, I know I should have told you everything but I was scared of loosing you,I swear I'm for real"Joel said and Lola sighed

"What really happened?"Lola asked and Joel could literally dance. This is what he have been waiting for,Lola giving him enough chance to explain to her what really happened "can you explain because this shit doesn't make sense,I try thinking something logical it isn't working and again I think about why you will let me meet your parents if this was just a plan and...."Lola started babbling,Joel shut her up by kissing her

"I will explain everything to you,no more lies baby"Joel said after breaking the kiss

"You sure? No more lies? No more hidings"Lola asked looking vulnerable,her facial expression really hits Joel, he could see hope in her eyes and it meant only one thing she wants all this to work and he wants that too
