Lola bursted into laughter after seeing what Joel got him

"You're sick!"Lola said and Joel bursted into laughter

"I bought you a big baby and you insult me?"Joel asked teasing

"Uh huh"Lola said wrapping her hands around him drawing him in for a kiss "Do I look like a kid to you and you buy me a big teddy?"

"I saw it on my way back from work and I thought it suits you"Joel said and Lola bursted into laughter

"What the?! You're really crazy!"Lola said in between laughter

"Just look at the teddy very well, you will fall in love with it"Joel said and Lola gave him the stink eye before doing as Joel said. Lola took the massive teddy trying to find anything special but she couldn't find it. The teddy looks like every other teddy she knows about

"What sick game are you playing Joel?"Lola asked turning around. She covered her mouth immediately she saw Joel. Joel was on one knee holding a beautiful sapphire diamond ring

"Oh my God!"Lola said a tear escaping her eyes "you psycho!"she said and Joel bursted into laughter

"God! I love this reaction babe. I should have got it on camera to tease you for the rest of our days"Joel said and Lola rolled her eyes

"Okay do I have to say it again or put the ring on your finger?"Joel asked having a teasing smile on his face

"God! Just put it on my finger! Damn! This is beautiful. God! Yes I will marry you over and over again, put the beautiful thing on my finger!"Lola said eagerly and Joel bursted into laughter. He removed the rubber ring and put the diamond ring on Lola's finger. Lola squealed like an high school girl that just saw her favourite celebrity. She place a kiss on Joel's mouth before he carried her up playing with her

"I'm calling Monica and Sarah straight away!"Lola said and Joel giggles

"We are having a mini celebration babe. Invite them over. I already talked with my parents yesterday and they wants to see you"Joel said and Lola place her hand on her chest

"Am I dreaming?"she asked

"No my love. This is real"Joel said and kiss her lips, a tear escaped her eyes

"I dated Fred for four years before he asked me to marry him,ain't we taking it too fast. We just started dating not barely two months ago"Lola said and Joel chuckled giving her a kiss on the lips again before placing his head on her's

"The time difference doesn't matter. What matters is the connection babe,I know what I want and I know what I feel. I'm sure in billion years to come my feelings will still be thesame. I don't need a long time dating to discover what I want,I know what I want the first day I set my eyes on you"Joel said and Lola smiled brushing her tears away. She kissed the side of his lips

"You're making me fall so bad"Lola whispered "it's scary"

"I'm falling so bad too babe. But I got you,I'm sure you got me too"Joel whispered too

"I got you"Lola said and Joel smiled kissing her. The kiss deepened and their hands started roaming eachother.

Joel blessed the day he set his eyes on Lola. He's not the clubbing type but he needed to go clubbing that night,his co-worker got him angry blaming him for a surgery that gone wrong. He decided to take his mind off things and go clubbing.

He sat on one of the bar stool and watched the crowd dancing. His eyes landed on two girls dancing,the slim one captivated his eyes and soon enough she was the only one in the dancing floor. The other excusing herself. He went over to her and flirted with her,it seems she was in an high spirit and flirted back. He liked her instantly and decided to took her back home maybe they could get something done,she agreed and they went back to his house having a lifetime sex in one night.

He woke up the next day to find her gone,he look around but didn't see her anywhere. He almost thought he was dreaming till he saw the used condom laying carelessly on the floor. He knew he needed to find her,she's not just an one night stand. He likes her a lot

Luck was in his side and he found her again,he isn't ready to let her go even though he later found out she's her friend Fred ex fiancee that he is trying all means to get back with. He don't mind going against him to be with her,he loves her and value her a lot

After calling Sarah and Monica inviting them over to Joel's house to get their little celebration done. Lola went inside his bathroom to have a bathe while Joel left to get few things. Lola smiled at what they did some moments ago,she came out of the bathroom to see Joel in the room

"I thought you have left"she said wiping the moisture on her body away

"I did and I'm back. I got you a dress"Joel said and Lola's brow quirk. She went closer to him and took the dress from him,she unwrapped the dress and fell in love with it, it's a beautiful sapphire dress

"It matches my ring so well"Lola said smiling falling in love with the dress. She went to hug Joel kissing him. Joel chuckled ending the kiss

"We better stop this before we do it again"Joel said and Lola bursted into laughter

"Yeah we should. I don't want Monica and Sarah catching us doing that"Lola said and imagined if it happens,her face contorted into the one of disgust "eeewwwwwww"she said and Joel bursted into laughter

"I should freshen up. I bought some wine"Joel said and Lola nodded

Monica stretched like a wild cat,she's so tired of marking script. She stood up from her room entering her kitchen,she got herself a glass of water and started walking back to her room when she heard a knock on the door. She went for the door opening it and saw Daniel standing,she tried closing the door on him again but Daniel put his feet between the door. He opened it wider and entered her apartment closing it behind him

"What are you doing here again?!"Monica asked standing akimbo

"Monica..."Monica cut him off

"I'm not your mate...."Daniel cut her off

"We are not in the school Monica and let's talk this out as an adult we both are!"Daniel said sternly and Monica shut up rubbing her hand on her temples

"I don't want to talk about anything"Monica said and Daniel sighed

"Please let's talk"Daniel said taking a step closer to her. She wanted to step back but thought against it, stepping back will only prove Daniel have power over her

"What do we have to talk about Daniel? I was a conquest you won so that should be enough, you already had what you wanted just let me be please"Monica said and Daniel groan

"You're not a conquest or anything. I know nothing justify for what I did or how I treated you after what happened between us. I was in state of confusion and acted out of stupidity"Daniel said amd monica sighed sitting on one of the sofa's in her sitting room

"Okay I get it. Apology accepted,you can leave now and we will put this behind us. You don't have to try hard as you said we are both adult and sex is a normal thing. We are cool,you can leave"Monica said and Daniel felt his heart breaking. How can she tell him to leave? He never wants to leave her

"Monica!"he plead

"What do you want again?!"Monica shouted exhaustedly "you want forgiveness and I forgive you so what more,just leave please"

"I don't want to leave please Monica. Don't do this to us"Daniel said kneeling before her. Monica watched him warily

What's wrong with him

She thought

"Us? There was no us Daniel,you made that clear so what us are you begging for? Can you leave lemme continue what I was doing before you came? I have been gentle enough"Monica said standing up

"Monica!"Daniel plead again standing up. He grabbed Monica's face,he wanted her to see him eyeball to eyeball

"Stop touching me like this Daniel. It's not accepted. I'm going out on a date and I'm planing on dating the person,you have no right to touch me anymore"Monica said and Daniel felt his life slowly fading away

"Monica! Please don't do this, I'm sorry please can you.... Ju.... Ju.... Jus...."Daniel couldn't form a whole sentence

"Please leave"Monica said and Daniel nodded no

"I....ca..... Can't..... Lea..... Leave......"Daniel said a tear escaping his eyes. Monica saw this and her chest tightened. She wanted to hug him and comfort him but what have that led her to, she's going to strictly obey Aunt Victoria's adviced

"Please leave"Monica said and went over to open the door for him to leave. Monica heard her phone ringing and went over to take it.

"Hello babe!"she said as soon as she picked the call up

"Yeah! Joel just got me the real ring,we are having a mini celebration at his place and you're invited"Lola said and Monica smiled

"That's beautiful. Send the address please"Monica said

"Of course"Lola said ending the call

"Moni...."Monica cut him short

"Don't ever call my name again! Don't ever come to my apartment again please just assume you don't know me and everything will be fine,just go!"Monica said trying to maintain a strong voice till the end. Daniel watched her warily before walking out of her apartment.

Monica locked the door and placed her back behind the door heaving heavily. A tear escaped her eyes,she can't believe it, Seeing Daniel the way he was before leaving her apartment broke her heart.

Her facade was slowly dropping,the feeling she's trying to bury behind her are slowly coming back to the surface mocking her.

But she isn't stupid at least not anymore. She isn't meant to pity Daniel,if she do it will lead to another thing again maybe something worst than what already happened between them

She went inside her room sniffing and wiping away the tears that came out of her eyes,she didn't know when she started crying. She took her phone dialling Israel's contact

"Hello beautiful"Israel said as soon as he took her call

"Hey! Israel what's up?!"She said

"I'm fine. It's odd seeing you calling me"Israel said chuckling and she did thesame

"Okay about the date. I was thinking what if we go out tomorrow,if it's okay by you though"Monica said trying not to sound desperate

"That's nice. I was planning on taking my time and making it perfect for you"Israel said and Monica squeezed her eyes shot. She look like a slut right now "but I don't mind about the tomorrow,if you want us to go tomorrow we can"

"Oh no! Don't bother about the tomorrow. The goal is for you to sweep me off my feet"Monica said and she heard Israel chuckle

"Okay. I will take my time then"

"Yeah good bye"Monica said

"Good bye dear. I love you"Israel said and Monica ended the call

She didn't know what to reply to that.
