Monica and Sarah came back to Abuja the following day after the occasion. Monica was glad she visited her family. It was worth it and the soon to be sister in-law is very beautiful and matches her elder brother so well. The wedding was planned to take place in few months time and she's more than happy for her elder brother

"Babes!"Lola said as soon as she saw them coming out of the airport,she was accompanied by her Fiance Joel

"Lola!"Monica said giggling,it's obvious she's in high spirit "I missed you"she said hugging Lola

"I miss you too,Sarah!"Lola said hugging Sarah

"I miss you so much"Sarah said

"I miss you too baby. No one to cook for me after a tiring day"Lola said and they all laughed

"Hey!"Monica acknowledge Joel who came forward to give her handshake. He did thesame with Sarah

"He came to pick you girls up. You know I don't have a car"Lola said and they chuckled

"Thank you so much Joel"Monica said and Joel nodded. They entered his car and Joel droved them to Lola's apartment.

They came out of the car and entered the apartment.

"I prepared you guys some food"Lola said

"Later"Monica and Sarah said at once. Sarah's eyes landed on Lola's finger,she frown getting confused

"Why did you tie rubber ring in your finger?"Sarah asked and Monica's eyes landed on her hand, she got confused too. Lola glared at Joel who stiffen a laughter

"I think you should ask this mister here,what's the meaning of this"Lola said standing akimbo. Joel coughed awkwardly his laughter dying down

"Uhmm"Joel said scratching the back of his head,he felt awkward "we took another step, I know it's too soon but she's my fiance now"Joel said and Sarah squealed jumping up and down while Monica slowly smiled looking between the two couple

"This is beautiful!"Monica said hugging Lola who only smiled blinking away the tears of Joy trying to come out

"Wait wait wait! We are supposed to be seeing ring,why rubber ring around your finger"Sarah asked and Joel chuckled drawing Lola closer to himself. Lola ended up sitting on his lap

"It wasn't planned,it just happened and I needed to substitute"Joel said and the two sister bursted into laughter

"What?! I never heard a man propose with a rubber ring before"Monica said and they all bursted into laughter

"When did this happen?"Sarah asked

"Last night"Lola replied smiling.

"When is the real ring showing up?"Monica asked and Joel chuckled

"Before the week ends"Joel replied. Sarah stood up and hug Lola

"I'm so happy for you"she says

"Thank you"Lola replied watching the rubber ring in her finger, she almost laughed.

At least Joel who proposed with a rubber ring is much more real than Fred who proposed with an expensive ring in an extravagant way, things didn't still end up well for them. She prefer the kitchen proposal more than the eatery proposal where everybody have to witness and take picture of them.

"Hey!"Monica said gaining everyone's attention "I'm sure she would have told you about Fred,don't ever hurt her or else you won't be so lucky as Fred. We will skin you alive"Monica said and Joel chuckled

"I'm not Fred and I will never be. I love her and I will always worship her"Joel said and Sarah made a small 'awww'

"Did you get it on camera,I want to see your face"Sarah asked

"No I didn't. It just between us"Lola smiling,Joel pull her into a side hug,she rested her head on his chest

She had never loved the way he proposed more than anything. It's supposed to be their thing, not everyone thing,no one needed to see or know the way he proposed to her. The two of them witnessing it is more than enough

"Okay.... I'm hungry"Sarah said and they all laughed again

Monica took her phone sending message to the group she will be conducting her test the following day. Most of the lecturers already conducted test for their students but she hasn't. They're getting closer to the first semester examination and she needed to get some things done before the semester comes to an end.

Thanks for the advice yesterday. I will keep it on mind, I promise not to disappoint your sister

Monica read the message that was sent to her. Joel sent the message,she had a long talk with him yesterday and it seems the guy is a very nice guy. She's so happy for Lola, at least she's back on track again after few months.

"Hello beautiful"she suddenly heard a voice and turn around to see Israel. She smiled at him and remembered the awkward date they had

"Hi! What's up?! I'm sorry for not calling you after that day"Monica said and Israel shoved it off

"It's fine as far you will go on another date with me,a proper one this time"Israel said and Monica laughed

"A proper one?"she asked teasingly

"Yes. I want to officially ask you out in a manly way"Israel said and Monica chuckled "I really like you Miss Korede"

"Okay, let's see how it goes. If your date can sweep me off my feet"Monica said and Israel smiled brightly

"Don't worry it will worth it"Israel replied in a deep voice and the two bursted into laughter.

After series of talk with aunt Victoria,she had decided to put Daniel in the past,where she kept Michael. She believed Daniel is a mistake that won't happen again and decided to live her life,she don't mind going out with Israel anymore.

She was done with the day before a blink of an eye,she went back to her apartment setting the questions for the test for the following day when she heard a knock on her door. She stood up immediately going for the door,she opened it to see Daniel standing. She banged the door on his face making sure to lock it. She hissed before going back to her room continuing the work she's doing.

The following day came, she took her bathe clad on a white straight short skirt and an dark red top which she tuck in in the skirt. She wore a dark red sandal before leaving her apartment. She went straight to class and met all the students were already seated waiting for her. The noises died down as soon as everyone's eyes fell on Monica

"I sent to the group yesterday I will be having my test today and also informed your class representatives to tell all of you, am I right?"she asked and heard 'yes'

"Good! Now if you know you're with bags. Come and drop it in the front of the class before my test begins"Everyone did as they were told

"When you sit there should empty seat in your front,your back and at your side. Now get ready" Monica said and all the students did as they were told. Daniel's eyes were on her,he could see she really changed within the past few days. His heart tightened seeing her but looking so far away

An hour later the test came to an end. Monica collected the script from the students arranging it while everyone left the class. She finished what she was doing and look up to see Daniel. She frown immediately

"Monica!"Daniel called

"Do I look like your mate?"Monica asked glaring at him "when next you call me,address me as Miss Monica or Miss Korede. Learn to show respect cause I am your lecturer"she says. Daniel swallowed,she had never use that type of voice on him before

"Please I'm sorry. I know what I said is wrong,give me enough chance to apologize"Daniel said and Monica watched him warily like he had grown horns on his head. She shook her head and packed her stuffs ready to leave,Daniel grab her hand immediately trying to stop her

"Will you take your hand off me"Monica snarled and Daniel did as he was told

"Please listen to me"Daniel plead.

"Daniel or whatever your name is better stop this before I take your issue to the school authority"Monica said walking out the class. Daniel watched her walk away and he felt like he's going crazy.

He sluggishly left the class and saw the last person he wants to see at the moment

"Daniel?!"Bianca called standing akimbo

"Bianca"Daniel tried replying

"Daniel what's wrong with you?"Bianca asked frowning

"What's wrong with me?"He asked

"Yes what's wrong with you? It feels like you're avoiding me,you hardly reply my messages and you refuse to give me one of the spare keys to your apartment"Bianca said and Daniel rolled his eyes.

"I'm busy"Daniel replied walking away,Bianca followed suit immediately

"Busy for your future wife? You know we will be getting married soon"Bianca said and Daniel groan

"Did I ask you to remind me of that?"He scowl at her

"Wait! What's the meaning of this? Is there any other woman in your life now?"Bianca asked and Daniel stopped walking sighing

"Can you just give me my peace of my mind?"Daniel asked

"No"Bianca replied. Daniel sighed and continue walking. Bianca followed him to his car,she climbed the car after him, Daniel look at her and sighed again. He can't start dragging her out of his car

They arrived at Daniel's apartment and they came down from the car,Daniel walk inside his apartment without sparing Bianca a look. Bianca entered the apartment too. Daniel sighed slumping on one of his sofa. He felt like Bianca is disturbing him

Bianca sat on his laps trying to kiss him,Daniel pushed her away gently

"What's wrong with you Daniel? You stopped making love to me,I miss you so much"Bianca said her eyes glistening

"I'm hungry"Daniel take a safer route by lying

"Should I prepare something for you?"Bianca asked

"Yes,thank you"Daniel replied and she stood up heading to the kitchen. Daniel sighed at least she's off his neck for awhile.

He went inside his room,he took off his wears and went to the bathroom to have a calming shower. His mind wandered to Monica and the way she treated him,he felt his heart closing up on him. He sat on top of the water closet, rubbing his hand on his hair. Monica got him,she got him really bad and now the cold treatment is really affecting him

He suddenly heard a knock on the bathroom door

"You have been there for more than an hour Chisom! What's wrong?!"Bianca yelled

Daniel didn't know when he spent so much time in the bathroom.

"Few minutes!"he shouted back. He stood up immediately rounding his bathe up before going inside his room. He got clad in a khaki short and Barcelona's jersey. He came out of his room to meet Bianca setting their dish in the dinning table

"Thank you"Daniel said after sitting down. He draw the jollof rice closer to himself taking a spoonful,he isn't really having a good appetite but have to put on a show for Bianca

"Do you like the food?"Bianca asked

"Yes"he replied. They sat quietly eating their food. Daniel packed the plates to the kitchen and went back to his room,Bianca followed suit.

He layed on his bed and Bianca did thesame,she climbed on top him and Daniel sighed

"I wrote a very exhausting test today Bianca. I'm tired, I want to sleep"he said and Bianca huffed climbing off him

"Sleep! Let's see your excuse tonight cause I'm spending the night here"Bianca said and hissed walking out of his bedroom.

Daniel sighed and closed his eyes
