Monica stir on her sleep. The action made the sun to penetrate through her eyes,she shifted immediately squeezing her eyes shot before flustering it open.

She lay on her back looking at the lazy rotation of the fan,the house is unusual quiet and she stood up lazily going to the sitting room,she didn't see Lola anywhere and went to her room to meet it empty. She came back and searched the dining room seeing a piece of note at the top of the dining table, a small mug was use to hold the paper in place. She lifted the mug and took the paper,she recognised Lola's handwriting immediately and read silently

You were so out of the world,I tried waking you up but you didn't budge. Breakfast in the warmer.

Reading the note made something click on her head immediately,she remembered she had a class to tutor this morning

"Oh God!"she muttered and ran to her room. She removed her night gown in haste almost flying to the bathroom,she had the quickest shower she ever had and came back to her room. She wore a white camisole and a blue black pencil skirt slightly slitted at the back,she wore a transparent lilac shiffon button up shirt on top of the camisole. She tucked her shirt inside her skirt and wore a slightly heeled black stiletto. She put on a minimal make up grabbing her bag and phone,she checked the time and luckily for her she had fifteen minutes before the lecture period.

She went to the fridge and grab an apple leaving the house,she didn't bother to eat her breakfast because she's already late. She locked the door and kept the key underneath the flower pot at the front of the apartment

It felt like the sun is jubilating for some kind of event because it was shining at it peak,Monica felt her back burning and she wished she sees a cab as soon as possible. She made a mental note to relocate to the lecturer's lodge before the week comes to an end.

She arrived at the school ten minutes late to her lecture period,she slowly walked to the class she's lecturing. She's nervously wrecked,she is scared of meeting her students. She knows her students are just few years younger than her,she still don't understand why she's asked to lecture the four hundred level students. Her hope was in the one hundred level students who are more easy to control than the old students who doesn't fear the lecturers anymore.

The door to the lecture hall became more visible,she braves herself up and entered the class. Yes! She has to do this,this has been her dream job and doing this now is all she ever wanted especially to prove Michael wrong,her terrible ex

As soon as she entered the class,the class became quiet,her eyes met with some of her students and some had a questioning looks,maybe they weren't familiar with young lecturers

"Good morning students"she said trying to hide her nervousness

"Morning"some decided to answer showing her a bit of attention,some acted like she doesn't exist and some looked at her warily like she's some kind of bimbo that jumped out of a movie scene

"As you all can see I'm your new lecturer and I will be taking you on this course from today onward,my name is Korede Monica Wunmi, I'm from the marketing department and I'm glad to lecture the business administrative students"Monica said and those that gave her a bit of an attention nodded "can you all introduce yourself so that I can familiarise with my students" she added

The students groan but nevertheless they started introducing themselves one after the other,after the introduction Monica decide to brief them about the course she's going to take them.

The class was silent everyone listening to what Monica was saying when two students made their way to the class,Monica stopped what she was doing and checked the time. It was twenty minutes before the end of the class and that pissed her up

"Are you just coming to the class?"she decided to ask halting the two students

"Yes"

"Sorry ma"the two students said at once. Monica decided to study them a little and she found out one of them is actually sorry why the other isn't

"Can you tell me why you decided to grace us with your presence by this time?"Monica asked again getting slightly riled up

"I'm sorry ma,my car got spoilt when I was on my way coming,I live off campus"the one who had being respectful from the onset said

"What about you young man"Monica decided to ask the other one since he decided to keep quiet

"Must I explain why I'm late?!"the other one said looking slightly angry. Monica was taken back and she swallowed her words. She's always scared of such students

"You can go back to your seat,this should be the last time you come late to my class or else I will deal with you. That doesn't mean I will forgive you easily for talking that way to me,I want you to write an essay telling me why you decided to come to my class late and you will submit it next week or God so help you"Monica decided to say in a threatening voice but deep inside she was scared to death. She's scared about the way the student is looking at her dangerously

"What's your name?"she decided to ask

"Daniel"he replied looking amused angering Monica

"Your full name?"she asked narrowing her eyes at him but she had to look up to do that,Daniel is over six feets obviously taller than her

"Ogechukwu Daniel Chisom"Daniel replied

"I will be expecting it soon"she said turning back to the class dismissing them.

Daniel silently walked back to his usual seat frowning. How dare her question him,he thought. He had had enough anger for the day and now this new young lecturer decided to add her's. He relaxed on his seat looking at her,Monica had resume her previous activity it felt like what happened few minutes ago didn't happen.

Daniel watched her talk to the class but he wasn't listening,his eyes slowly acknowledging what he failed to see in the midst of anger,he tried listening but he couldn't

His eyes were focused on her two breast that moves whenever she tries to make gestures, Daniel groan when she turn around writing something on the board,the pencil skirt she's wearing fitted her ass so well,it made his groin twitch and he wondered. He's never into older women.

He knew he is older than him,he never had an interest in older ladies but something about her stirred something inside him, something he wasn't ready to admit, something he decided to convert to pure anger and hatred. He felt satisfied at least that will be better,much more better than this.

The class came to an end and everybody left,Monica was the last person to leave the lecture hall,she took her small bag checking her schedule on her way going,she decided to check the lecturer's lodge and take her key so that she can start parking in.

She saw the lecturers lodge and was pleased with it. It's what she wanted,she retrieve the key to her new apartment and decided to buy snacks for her and Lola before going back to her apartment.

She just walked few minutes away from the lecturer's lodge when she saw thesame student that decided to disobey her on her first day at work,he wasn't the only one standing he was standing with a girl who was obviously pissed yelling only him can hear while he look expressionless looking at her like a movie in the cinema

Monica tsk and walk away,she doesn't like the student at all and she don't think she will ever will. She took a cab that took her to the nearest store and bought some snack for her and Lola.

She went back home and met the main door slightly opened and got surprised,they never leave the door open and it is surprising,she drop her bag and the take away bag she was also holding going to Lola's room only to meet her laying on her stomach,her face in the pillow crying her guts out. She got worried immediately rushing over to her

"What's wrong with you?"Monica asked trying to make her sit,she got so worried about her cousin sister,Lola is not the type to show weakness easily and that got Monica scared

Lola didn't say a word,she continue crying and Monica decided to let her be,she let her cry her eyes out. Lola got tired and couldn't cry any longer

"What happened?"Monica finally asked again and Lola sat up immediately wrapping her hands around Monica gently placing her head on her chest

"I loose a case at the court today"Lola said

"That doesn't mean you have to cry"Monica said and silence reigned "we don't always win Lola,you of all people knows that, sometimes we loose to get back stronger"Monica decided to break the silence

"I know Monica,it's just that I loose to him,you got to have seen his face. He was smirking at me like he knew I was good for nothing,he told me that once"Lola whined

"Who is He?"Monica asked lost

"Fred"Lola replied and Monica's mouth formed a little 'ow'. Fred is Monica's ex fiancé who she caught cheating on her a day before their wedding. Monica just remembered he is a lawyer too

"You two work in thesame firm?"Monica asked

"Not anymore"Lola replied snuggling closer to Monica and they remain quiet again

"Don't give him the power to make you sad Lola,I bought snack for us"Monica said and Lola finally smiled

"So thoughtful of you,I don't think I will be able to prepare dinner tonight"

"You don't have to girl"Monica said standing up.

She went back to her room and had a bathe, clad on a see through spaghetti straps,she went to the living room taking the snack and joined Lola who already changed from her professional wear to a pink singlet and a black short

"Bon appetit"Monica said dropping the snack on the bed and Lola laughed

"How was it? Your first day lecturing grown ups?"Lola asked her interest on the peak

"Well... It was fine except for a student who wanted to disobey me"Monica said and Lola nodded

"It's normal,it happens"

"Yeah. I checked the lecturer's lodge and babe the apartment is so cool,I will be moving out before the week ends"Monica said and Lola stopped chewing

"So you want to leave me?"Lola asked giving her cousin the bad eye

"No babe but it's more convenient for me,you know how I sleep"Monica said frustratedly making Lola to laugh

"You better change your sleeping habit,I can't lie to you it's horrible"Lola said her mouth full

"I know it is and I'm trying to but when the spirit of slumber takes me I loose all control"Monica said dramatically and the two bursted into laughter

"You can't just go Monica! I'm already getting use to having someone here with me,we are partying this Friday before you say bye bye"Lola said and Monica groan

"You know I prefer sleeping than being in a room packed with loud booming of music"

"More reason we are going out. It's been long we have our time. Monica! Come on!"Lola said grinning

"That's college days"Monica said rolling her eyes

"How I miss those days,imagine we are twenty again and having the time of our lives"Lola said winking. Monica only roll her eyes,she knew Lola won't take no as an answer
