"A cheat will always be a cheat Lola, I don't believe this Fred anymore and since the feelings you got for him died. I think it's better you just let him go"Monica said and Sarah dropped her spoon making a sound

Two of you ain't kids anymore,even you too should get married in four months time you will be twenty seven too"Sarah said and Monica watched her warily

"Sarah there's something you ain't getting. It's not about getting married it's about staying married. You expect her to just jump on what Fred said because he proposed marriage and that will make her loose the chance of meeting a better man? No! That's not how the world revolves, I'm sure she will meet someone better than Fred,Fred is a past tense"Monica said and Lola groan she's having a serious headache

"Fine! I get it, Sis Lola is even lucky she has a dude after her now? Joel? I think. What about you big sister? Don't you think it's time to let a man in your life? Is this the life you lay down for us? Me,Tolani and Julianne?"Sarah asked suddenly pissed

"When have this conversation diverted to me not getting married?"Monica asked frowning

"Someone needed to say this and I'm telling you this now. Go and get married you're not a kid anymore,your mates are with kids"Sarah said and Lola groan loudly

"Shut up! Shut up! This is not something to fight about girls! And you Sarah what do you know? Do you think your sister and I wants to remain single at this age of ours? No! She met Michael in her two hundred level in the school,she fell in love with him and they started dating with Michael promising her heaven on earth. She never cheated on Michael and let him have his way with her. He promised to marry her as soon as she's done with her service but it didn't happen,she started her MSc programme on her first year Michael break the news to her that he's tired of the relationship he needs them to go apart. Opening the door to his house,Joel met his good friend sitting on his sitting room looking too deep in thought

"Fred!"he called dropping the grocery he bought from the near bye store when he left the hospital

"Nope,my ex fiancé"Fred replied sitting back down on the sofa and Joel imitated him by sitting on the sofa facing his,his phone pinged and he took it,he opened it to meet a message and smile

"Who's that?"Fred asked

"Katerina. The girl I talk to you about last week"Joel said and Fred nodded absentmindedly,he didn't care about who is friend is presently seeing. He is even jealous of him for having a woman in his life now though he haven't met her

"I was talking about my ex fiancé"Fred said gulping

"Did you talk to her? Did you take my advice"Joel asked giving Fred his attention which Fred is grateful for. Fred and Joel became friends few months ago,Joel had a big problem on the big plot of land he bought to build his own private hospital but someone else claimed it,Joel have to go around looking for the best lawyer he can find and met Fred who helped him won the case and since then they became friends,they started sharing eachother's secrets

"I did! I'm just scared,what if she doesn't accept me? What if she's already with another man?"Fred asked feeling bitter. "I don't think she already found another man in this few months, according to what you told me she's not that type of lady to jump on any man just like that"Joel said sipping his drink

"But I have this nagging feeling she's over me. I knew her like since forever"Fred said sighing "if only I didn't take Brie to my house that night"he muttered

"Dude! I still wonder sometimes what got you to do that"Joel said shaking his head and Fred gave him the bad eye. Joel chuckled quietly raising his hand up. He knows he can never do what Fred did.

Monica was busy lecturing the four hundred level students,her eyes involuntarily landing on Daniel time to time,each time she met Daniel watching her and her stomach flips. It's obvious Daniel isn't listening to the lecture,he is busy watching Monica and the way she moves

"And we come to the end of the class,there will be a quiz test next week. Any complains should be laid in my office"Monica said. Her eyes trained on Daniel why saying the last part,Daniel knew he's the owner of that message.

Everyone stood up from the class leaving the class for their next lecture. Monica was busy gathering her stuff,she didn't know Daniel was standing behind her,she almost jumped out of her skin when she noticed him at her back

"What the... What do you want?"she asked sternly and Daniel chuckles

"You slapped me?"Daniel said more of a statement than a question
