I hate it when I have to sleep. I'm just done with nightmares...

The sunlight begins to fade now

They never go away, and I always wake up more tired than I was when I fell asleep...

And I feel like I'm losing time

And all of them saw this too. Sky, Mitch, Shadow, Rina... All of them... Rina even tries to make me sleep by giving me tea. But what she doesn't realize, is I don't like tea...

But I don't know how I'm here
The sunlight is turned to gray

I haven't told them about my nightmares... Not even Seto. I know Seto might have a spell that can stop the nightmares... But magic is what killed my mom... So I don't mess with it.

And I feel like I'm losing love again

Night comes and everyone goes to their rooms. I wait a while for everyone to go to sleep, before I go over to Nat's room.

So I lay there on my bed, wide awake.

When I know everyone has fallen asleep, I go to Natalie's room across the hall from mine.

I knock on the door gently.

I got no answer.

I open the door. The room was dark, and in the far corner, there was Nat, getting a restless sleep.

Her bed sheets were completely kick off her bed, she was curled up in a ball.

For a moment I thought she was awake, because she said something in her sleep.

"She sleep talks?" I ask myself quietly.

I go over to Nat, where she was curled up in a ball. I touch her shoulder gently, hoping not to wake her, but she does wake up with a jolt.

She looks at me with confusion and sadness.

"J­-Jason?" She asks.

I look at her with a worried smile. "Hay..." I say.

"What are you doing in my room?" She asks as she rubs her eyes.

And I know that we're getting older

"I wanted to know what you do at night, you're always so tired in the morning." I tell her.

The world we build is slipping through our fingers

"Well now you know. I sleep." She says with sass in her voice.

We're running out of time

"No, I know there's more to it than that." I say.

And you are the one I've chosen

"Tell me the truth Natalie, the entire group is worried about you."

And I won't lay still

She gives me a dirty look. "Does it matter?" She asks.

Living left behind,

I sit down next to her on her bed, and put my hand on her shoulder. "Nat, it does matter, the group needs you at 100%" I tell her.

A sad expression comes onto her face. "I rather not tell anyone..." She says.

"It will only make you guys more worried about me."

"Well if you don't tell any of us, we can't help you." I tell her.

She sighs and looks down at her hands which were in her lap. You can tell she was on the brinkof being in tears.

"Natalie..." I say. "Please, tell me what's wrong..."

"N­-Nightmares..." She says sadly. "Every time I sleep, they're all I have..." She begins to cry.

I pull her into a hug and she barriers her face into my chest.

Why would she cry over nightmares? She knows they're not real, right?

"Nat, what are these nightmares about?" I ask. She took a deep breath.

"Everyone I care about, dies in them... Because of me." She says sadly.

I look at her oddly. "You're afraid of us dying because of you?" I ask her.

I could feel your heartbeat

"What does it look like, Jason? I'm always a mess..." I can hardly tell if she's angry or sad...

I could feel the sun when you're looking down

I guess that's what it is for someone like her.

"Natalie... You're not a mess. Believe it or not, but you're a big help to us." I tell her.

I could feel the sun when you're looking down

She doesn't say anything after that... I look down at her to see that's she's fallen asleep. I smile.

I kiss her on her forehead. "Not telling her about that anytime soon." I say quietly.

I lay her down on her bed, and put her sheets back over her... Before I leave her room I look. back over at her.

She's already tossing and turning.

I sigh. "This is going to take time..." I say to myself.

I go back to my room...I don't know how I'm going to help Nat. But I will. Life has been too hard on her, and I can't say I know what how she feels...

What Natalie and Jason didn't know was that there were two people watching the whole time.

"Did you know about this Shadow?" Sky asks quietly.

She nods. "Yeah...but I didn't know that they were that bad. She never told us what they were about.

He nods.

Soon the whole house falls silent as everyone falls asleep...waiting for the next day...
