Plot Idea

Ø Was born in winter (1-2 weeks before Christmas) --> ?During a full moon?

Ø Was able to (marginally) control Wínd in childhood

--> First occurred when a boy broke her doll/slap out of her hand #as in the fairy tale "The Goose Girl"

--> As get older understands the danger which lies with her gift #Witch processes

==> Heard quite conversations from adults (Salem) [stories have come to the village through traders] + often gets nightmares # Rarely use power out of fear

==> For example, only used if it cannot be noticed

Ø Eye color turns bluish when using powers

Ø Uses powers even less after sister is kidnapped by witches & almost made one of them

--> Have no powers themselves (can only brew potions & feel powers)

--> Misinterpreted source of power

--> Jackie uses ice/frost powers for the first time #freeze witches and hut

Ø Is still a believer despite age

--> Do not doubt the existence of other beings/creatures because of her own power

Ø Mother/parents often say should behave more according to her age #soon at marriageable age

--> Jackie would like to get married one day and have children, but only a man who loves and accepts her for who she is #will not pretend/give up freedoms

Ø Did not use power at the lake because she was afraid of giving herself away

--> Would have used it anyway to save sister

--> Break through ice was too quick for her to react
