The Plan
"What's going on?" Sayori asked us a third time as we wandered through the halls around the club nervously.
"Don't worry about it, Jacob just needs to talk to Yuri for a bit," Monika repeated. "It'll be fine."
Sayori didn't say anything else. Natsuki was holding my hand, and she was shaking. I looked at her and slowly nodded. She took a deep breath and continued walking.
I had never seen Monika this stressed before. She ran her hands through her hair. "I hope Jacob doesn't mess this up. Not now."
"I believe in him," I said with certainty.
She looked at me. "Why?"
"He's my best friend," I answered. "He loves Yuri, so he'll do whatever he needs to do to protect her. It's really that simple."
Monika smiled, which warmed my heart. "Alright, then."
Then, I heard a thump on the wall. I ran over and let go of Natsuki's hand. I glanced through the window, and Yuri and Jacob were on the ground in each other's arms. I looked to the left near the fire alarm in the classroom, and saw the knife, with no blood on it.
I slid against the wall and onto the floor. "He did it, he did it. I knew he could do it."
Monika sighed in relief and sat down next to me. "You were right. He did it."
Finally, I heard the doorknob rattle and I immediately stood back up. Jacob and Yuri came out of the room, and Jacob looked like he was ready to faint at any second. Yuri looked as if she had just finished attending a funeral.
I gave Jacob a hug, and he patted me with his hand. "We're good now, man. She's alright."
We released each other, and I nodded. I glanced at the time displayed on the wall. "Seems like we missed the festival, but why don't we celebrate back at my house?"
Natsuki gives me a golden smile. "I was wondering. Can't let my cupcakes go to waste!"
We finally were ready to walk home. Jacob asked me if Yuri could stay with us, and I agreed that she could. we started to walk home with five this time, but before we left, I realized Monika would be walking home alone.
"Hey, Monika, why don't you come with us?" I asked.
"Yeah! It would be fun!" Sayori said.
I meant it, of course. There was no reason that she should be excluded from the group. The only bad part was, there would be four girls and two guys in a small house. I figured if Monika and Sayori either share a bed or someone takes the couch, we would be fine.
"I don't see why not," Monika said with a satisfied smile.
We arrived back home, and all of us were pretty exhausted after today. Sayori found a recliner and crashes in it while Monika crashed on the couch. Jacob and Yuri walk outside to talk about something, which left me and Natsuki, who hasn't spoken since we were at school.
"Hey Nat, you okay?"
Natsuki sighed. "I don't know Noah. This whole thing about being in a game just...scares me I guess. It's a lot to take in."
"I know. It scares me too," I reassured. "We just have to come up with a plan is all."
Natsuki looked confused. "What plan?"
"To be honest, I haven't really thought about it yet," I explained. "It's been so busy, I haven't had time. The most time I've really had was over the weekend."
"Oh, okay. Well, if you ever want to talk, I'm always here for you." Natsuki said with a small smile, and then she kisses me on the lips.
It was only around six, so Natsuki and I decide to cook dinner for everyone. As we were getting out the supplies, I realized something.
I haven't seen this part of the game. No one has lived to see this far.
I look around the room. If I was playing the game, I would be in the "Just Monika" ending. The realization hit me so hard that I had to sit the frying pan down and recollect my thoughts.
"Are you okay?" Natsuki asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Huh?" I said as I stood up straighter and picked the pan back up. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just thinking is all."
"Hey, guys! Whatcha cooking?" Jacob asked as he and Yuri came from their now shared bedroom. We shush him, not wanting to wake Sayori and Monika. Jacob saw that they were asleep and stayed quiet.
"Whoops! Sorry."
The food was ready by around 6:45, and Sayori and Monika woke up by then, probably to the smell of food."
"Ah, that smells so wonderful," Sayori said, with visible drool escaping the corner of her mouth.
We chuckled at that, and sat down and ate the food. We all had conversations about poems, and Yuri and Natsuki began fighting. After Yuri said something about her choice in rhyme scheme, they angrily stared at each other. A few seconds later, they bursted out laughing.
I could finally say that the say had been a huge success, but something was still bothering me in the back of my mind. What about Monika? She never had a route in the game, so could we even save her? She was the only girl without any real issues besides her loneliness in the game, despite her being so popular. Once I thought into it more, it made sense why she wouldn't need saving.
I mean, let's state the facts. Sayori had major depression to the point she was suicidal. Natsuki had horrible family issues and was forced to starve herself. Yuri had severe mental issues.
Monika had none of those. Hell, the other three girls aren't even supposed to be alive right now, but look where we are.
As I was thinking, Sayori let out a beautiful laughter at a joke Jacob said about Natsuki. I let out a huge smile, knowing that it was the first time I'd ever hear her laugh. It was heartwarming.
At around 7:15 or so, we all finished eating. Jacob and I cleaned up the kitchen and got ready for the night. As I was relaxing in my room reading manga with Natsuki, someone knocked on my door.
"May I come in?" Monika's voice rang through the hallway.
"Yeah, come on in," I said.
She comes in and asks me if we can talk in private.
"Just me?" I asked.
"No, Natsuki can stay," Monika answers as she sits on my bed.
"It's finally time to talk about how to get out of here," Monika says.
"Do you want me to go get Jacob?" I asked.
Monika had seemingly forgot about him. "Haha, yes please!"
I did and he comes to my room. "What did I do this time?" Jacob asks while smiling.
"Nothing dude, just time for the conversation you've been waiting to talk about."
Jacob's expression turns serious. "Oh, I see."
"Well, here's what I think. I can create a code to where I can create some sort of portal, or anything really, to easily transport us out of here," Monika suggested.
I thought for a moment. "Won't the game crash or something?"
"That's the only problem," she said, shifting her position on the bed. "The game won't be able to handle it without it crashing. I also don't think it would be able to get all of us out. I believe four or five at the most."
We all go quiet after she says that, and I began to get nervous. Something was tugging at the back of my mind as if I was forgetting something, but I coudln't be sure.
"Well, we have to try our best either way," Monika continued.
"Yeah, we have to," Natsuki agreed.
I began feeling sick all of a sudden. Extreme drowsiness and a pounding headache wanted to control my body. What was happening?
"Noah? Are you okay?" Natsuki asked me, concern evident in her voice.
"I don't know. I feel like something's...off."
My body kept turning to the window as if I was possessed. I realized then that my body was trying to tell me something.
"What do you mean?" Jacob asked.
I couldn't take it anymore. I got up and looked out the window, where the feeling was pushing me. My heart suddenly dropped into my gut. I saw a person outside. It looked like a guy, but I coudln't see who it was.
He then looked up and raised a gun toward our window, and started firing.
"Get down!" I exclaimed, and bullets began to crash through the window.
"Damn it!" Natsuki yelled.
The firing stopped, and I looked back out of the window with caution, and he was gone. Sayori and Yuri come to the room.
"What happened??" Sayori asked, clearly panicked.
"I don't know! Some crazy person just started shooting us from outside!" Jacob replied, scared out of his wits.
Something was telling me that I knew the person, but I still don't know who he was. The way he looked at me was oddly familiar.
A few minutes later, a knock came at our door. I grabbed the shotgun and carefully looked out the window, and sure enough, it was him. Natsuki came up behind me and asked me who it was. I told her to take the rest of the girls and Jacob and hide somewhere, however, Jacob refused. We answered the door slowly.
Natsuki's father smelled horrible, as if he bathed in beer or something.
"I'm going to ask nicely," he started. "If you refuse, I'm going to do the same thing I did to you last time, except up here."
He pointed to my forehead, and I bit back my fear.
I glared at him. "And I'm going to ask nicely. I don't know who bailed you out or how you escaped, but I suggest you go back to prison where you belong before I do what I did last time, except up here."
I pointed to his forehead as well, and I noticed that there was an eye tattoo on his forehead that was partially hidden by his hair. I didn't recall noticing it before.
"Alright then," he said, his voice dropping. "I see how we're gonna play."
He points a gun at my head, but I don't even flinch. I take the gun I had and hit him across the face with the butt. He stumbled, but he quickly got up and fired in my general direction, missing me by what felt like an inch or so from my head. I stumbled back as well and dropped the shotgun. Jacob throws me a knife in return, not as big as Yuri's, and I tackle him down onto the ground again.
Almost without hesitation, I stab him in the chest.
"Agh!" Natsuki's dad screamed in pain, but he still didn't want to back down. He grabbed the knife from his chest and tries to do the same thing.
To put it simply, I would've been screwed if Jacob hadn't fired the gun at him. The bullet explodes right into his chest. He gets flown backward by the momentum of the bullet.
After a minute of choking on his own blood, he looks right into my eyes.
"The third eye will rise, and there is nothing you can do to stop him. This game will be destroyed with you in it."
I was frozen in fear, and he died right after he said that.
Natsuki comes running out of the guest bathroom, where the girls were hiding, and pulls me into a hug. However, I don't return it immediately due to the shock. I finally pulled Natsuki into a big hug, and I kiss her on her forehead to try to comfort her.
Suddenly, his eyes began to glow a dark red color, and a third eye opened on his forehead. Blood began dripping down and he began to screech.
Jacob picked up the shotgun and prepared to shoot, but his body dissipated before anything happened. We all stood there in shock.
"W-What..." Yuri mumbled, clearly confused.
I slowly shut the door and turned to the group. "Is everyone okay?"
Jacob and Monika nodded. The others seemed shaken, but fine nonetheless. I nodded as well.
"Let's try to forget this ever happened and go to sleep," I suggested.
Although we were still pretty shaken up, we decided to go to bed for the night. I held Natsuki as closely as I could to try and comfort her.
A few moments later, Sayori comes in and joins us again. Another couple of minutes, Monika comes in as well. Believe it or not, Jacob and Yuri comes in with them.
I didn't mind it a bit. We all were so close to each other, we didn't even need blankets to stay warm. We only needed each other, and because we all apparently knew what was going to happen tomorrow, because Jacob told Yuri, and I told Sayori.
I slowly closed my eyes.
Meanwhile, the game silently glitched, and a third eye symbol appeared on the mirror of my room in front of us.

It's either start a whole new story or make a sequel. What do you guys think?
And thank you guys very much for reading this far into my story. I'll see you next chapter!
